We started out with the saganaki (flaming cheese). Everything was delicious with the exception of the grape leaves (can't recall the official name of this dish). I told hubby that some reviews had mentioned they were soggy and not too good. He agreed with those reviewers and would not recommend. The saganaki was both literal and metaphorical fire. The pita points it was served with were crunchy, which was pleasantly surprising. We both did wish there was some kind of sweetness to complement the cheese like a fruit jam or something, but it was delicious regardless. The beef on the sticks was tasty as was the burger but the star of the whole show were the fries. Hubby typically does not like fries but he loved these and was happy that I let him share them with me. Lol I am not sure what kind of seasoning they had but our taste buds definitely approved. They don't come with the burger but were definitely worth getting on the side. It was a little on the pricey side at about $35-40 more than our typical date night spend for less food, but it was good overall. Too pricey to make it into our weekly rotation, but will be a nice addition to our special occasion options.

Pickup order was for 11:45AM. Some orders had to be put in at 11:30 since the 11:45 AM block was full. I arrived at 11:45. It took 7 minutes for anyone working at Taziki's to ask what I was there for. There were several bags (I had 8 total orders), and upon inspection, I could not find a name on them so I had no idea if they were mine. They were, but they were only part of my larger order. The team was non-communicative beyond "We're working on them". At one point when I had six of my eight orders, I was asked for a third time what orders I was still waiting for, and the employee looked at me as if I had just kicked a puppy when I gave them the names of the orders not yet filled. I wound up leaving at approximately 12:05, so 20 minutes after I placed my orders. The report from the team is that the food is of mixed quality. Some of my coworkers were delighted with the order and food quality, some reported very poor quality meat and a disappointing experience. Gyro meat seems to not be very good, but the fish is overall solid. In all, with mixed reports in terms of product quality and the worst experience out of the 15 weekly lunch pickups I've done on the customer service side, I have no plans to keep Taziki's on the rotation.

Chicken shawarma wrap - the wrap was pretty good. It wasn't great but it was pretty good. It had a lot of color to it, meaning they were seasoning it for sure, but the flavor was only okay. The flavor was not popping out of your mouth but it was a decent but subtle flavor. It was super tender! Chicken kabob - the kebab plate came with two skewers and rice with a salad and it came with some garlic sauce as well. I think that the kebab was better than the shawarma to me. It had the same char flavor but mixed with the rice and the garlic sauce, it took it up another notch as well. You got a lot of it though so it wasn't like you only got two pieces of meat per skewer and a small handful of rice. You got a bed of rice so it was really good. The salad was low quality but I really didn't care about that because I didn't come for salad lol. Overall you paid maybe like $12 or $14 for this. It wasn't bad for a full plate . I have noticed that their prices listed on the menu are stale (to the detriment of the customer). On multiple occasions, we are surprised by a higher charge on the receipt than what was listed on the menu, but I let it go. Frustrating regardless. They really should update their menu instead of this nickel-and-dime approach....leaves a bad taste in our mouths.
