I went to the Gyro factory in Lorton. The guy was rude and tried to anticipate my questions and answer them before I asked. I got a gyro combo and the meat was browned and a little crunchy which usually indicates that it isn't fresh off the spit. I didn't get lettuce so they gave me lots and lots of onions. I also ordered baklava but i was trying to ask if it only had pistachios in it and he said yes and i said good because im allergic to walnuts.. He then said well it may have some walnuts in it. A hidden gem! The management here is so welcoming and kind! Truly one of the best service experiences I've had since the 90's. Their food was fresh and delicious and the restaurant itself is set up for dine in and to go. Which ever you prefer. I loved the traditional music and the warmth this establishment offered. Been seeing them go through around 3-4 different managers but they always Know how to make that steak and cheese with little bits of onion and those crispy fries with a side of that hot sauce with ketchup hit every single time. Great spot for a quick gyro craving fix! I had the gyro combo with the fries which hit the spot immediately after a long day. Staff was friendly and I noticed they sell baklava which is one of favorite desserts so I might have to return to try it on my next trip. It is a small location so not much to say about ambiance but the parking situation can get busy as it is in a location with a gas station. read more

I was on a road trip to Virginia. When we finally made it past D.C. we found this little gem. It is a hole in the wall but the food was very good. I ordered the falafel. The falafel was vert tasty, as was the sauce. The only thing wrong with it, was the way that they put it on an open faced pita. It made it almost impossible to eat without it falling apart (I did lose part of the sandwhich on the floor). I also ordered the baclava for dessert (pastacio). The hubs is a huge fan of their gyro salad, as it comes with a generous amount of sliced gyro meat on top of fresh lettuce, feta cubes, tomato slices, olives, cucumbers, peppers, onions, and tzatziki dressing. I enjoyed their gyro platter, which comes with a side of sliced pita bread, a good amount of gyro meat slices, a small salad, and a side of crispy battered fries. I like that they use Kronos, which I grew up with back in Chicago, so it was nice and salty! The food was all prepared well, fresh, and with generous portions. I also tried their steak and cheese, which was filled, again, with a generous amount of steak; I only opted for the onions, cheese, and extra mayo, and the bread was slightly toasted and it was a super filling sub. I visited this place recently to order a greek salad with gyro meat. I usually visit another storefront in this shopping center for the same meal but decided to give this place a try since I figured they specialize in gyro's since the word is in the name. However, my food was just alright. The veggies could have been fresher, especially the pepper. The meat was cut into smaller pieces and didn't taste like it was freshly cut for my salad. The salad dressing was really good. All in all, it was okay and I was able to eat everything and wasn't hungry when I was done. I may be back, not sure yet, but I wouldn't say this is the best place for a gyro salad. However, with it being Lorton, VA and options for a Greek salad being limited, this can be a place to go. Today I got the falafel pita for the first time and it was great-they actually give you a good amount of falafel! (I hate when you get falafel somewhere and there are only like two falafels......)
