Normally I have great experiences at McAlisters. This time was not the case... our spuds (potatoes) took 45 minutes to come... one never even came... the manager did apologize but this did not compensate for our experience. My spud that did come was delicious, toasted, and full of flavor. The sandwich was the perfect blend of spicy and sweet with the crunch of the chips on it. McAlister's recently upped their combo price... but it is still worth it for the quality of food you receive. I just wish the service was better this time. I am absolutely in love with this place. Panera better be SHAKIN' in it's boots with this being just around the corner. Food = fresh. Service = fast. Diet coke = crips. Pickles = pickling. My boyfriend had introduced me to a McAlister's in Indiana, so when I'd heard we were getting one right here in Burke (yes, I'm aware of the GMU one - I hate the Braddock road traffic light, what can I say), I swung by. This place is always hoppin' but they work that line quickly. I've been here - like, what - once a week since they opened earlier this year? I think my ordered was messed up once? (if you could hear my voice you'd understand why - no one can hear me... darn these vocal chords). So that's like a RECORD - even Chick-Fil-A has messed it up more than McAllies (and that's sayin' a lot - Chick is ALWAYS on the ball). Want my recs - current feeling the Turkey BLT. They have won me over. McAlisters offered amazing food, hot and perfect portions. They workers were very helpful and attentive. They made sure we had refills and picked up any finished plates to clear up the tables. It is a very busy location but the reasoning behind that is valid, it wasn't too loud neither. Okay I've been here twice now.. So I've had four different menu items from entrees and drinks. Not to mention being able to try what my family has ordered. Came here lately for their T-Mobile Tuesday deal and heard they were slammed all day. No problem, but I also went when they weren't busy and can confidently say I'm not the biggest fan. Service is always good, but I can't say the same for the food. One salad was too salty, and another was not up to par with other competitors. I got a Reuben sandwich and the Jalapeno Turkey Crunch. The Reuben was just TOO much meat - no balance at all. And the Jalapeno Turkey Crunch was better, but I couldn't get myself to finish it. The way all the ingredients come together just makes it easy to get tired of. I've tried their lemonades and the recent Witch's Brew, and it tastes like melted candy corn. Maybe its an acquired taste, but at this point I'd rather spend my money at Panera. read more

Have eaten here twice with the fam. I got the French Dip which was quite tasty. The rest of my family had Jalapeño turkey crunch, chicken barbecue crunch and chicken salad sandwiches. Everything was fab. (And yummo! Pickle) If you're ordering any of the sandwiches that have chips (i.e. crunch) for take out. As your side get a bag of that flavored crunch. Because the crunch isn't crunchy once you get home. And having the crunch be crunchy is key to the sandwiches deliciousness. I got an iced tea as well which is equally as fab. I love their deli menu!!! They have delicious cheese sauce with chips on side so you can enjoy it. You can do salsa as well. They have outdoor seatings if weather permit. It's very beautiful and it's across from GMU and have very small but perfect size of "outside mall" with few restaurants and some stores that's still popular for years which's amazing due how small outside mall is. I love this area and eat then quick shopping before go back to campus for next class which is very perfect. read more

I wouldn't recommend catering through this location. Order "holiday" cookies online and paid a small fortune for a platter of rather sad and random looking cookies. I could have gotten a much nicer platter for half the price at Costco. These were supposed to be a gift for my husband's coworker but I'm too embarrassed to give these away. Me and my friends have been going to mcalisters pretty consistently for well over a year, and the service has always been amazing. Extremely nice workers, always made us feel like family. Food is very good with good prices. They always have a great music selection as well. Recently I've been having issues with my card where it will randomly decline when it shouldn't, which happened here. I sat down because I was meeting with a friend, and one of the workers came out with my original order on the house. The hospitality is through the roof and the food is amazing. 10-10 read more

So glad to see a new location here. Their sandwiches are quite delicious. Are they a little pricey? Yes but you're getting quality, and also generous portions. If you walk out of here hungry, I'd be really surprised. All of their ingredients are top notch. Will be back again later this week. If you like friendly folks, by all means go here. It's a cozy atmosphere. Families and just regular folks. Chairs and tables are perfect. This is a welcome addition to West Springfield. Parking is usually simple enough, and give them an opportunity! The sandwiches were mediocre. I visited three times and most likely will not return. The employees seem untrained; they dress as if they just rolled out of bed. The young man who delivered my order was just out of the bathroom, and I kept thinking it was probably 50-50 that he washed his hands. Ordered delivery, they forgot the Mac and cheese and the potato salad, which amounted to just under half the total order. They would only refund the mac & cheese, but not the potato salad, which is ridiculous because I paid for it. I would advise NOT getting the wraps, you get 90% lettuce and 10% meat. I purchased two Grilled Chicken Cesar Wraps w/drinks, plus a tip cost was over $30.00 dollars, not worth the money. Whomever is making the wraps needs to learn exactly how to make a wrap without it falling apart as soon as you pick it up. And for the people who deliver the food--please stop resting the plates up against your shirts when carrying them out to customers. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My spud was never delivered to the table even though there were at least four working in the kitchen and 3 serving the food. Others in the deli were asking about their food as well. I made my family start eating their food. After many minutes, my husband was fed up and went to check on the status of my spud. A manager was called over who responded with "What do you want me to do?" when he was advised that my food was never received. My husband asked for a refund. The manager complied and offered to make the potato and deliver it to the table. We left 25 minutes later with no potato ever being delivered to our table. We were also charged for extra dressing for the Reuben that wasn't included with the sandwich and had to ask for that as well. Do yourself, and your wallet, a favorite and go to one of the other restaurants in the surrounding area. This place has Incompetent service, subpar food (I was told) and is an all around dud. read more
