I came to try their Fattoush with chicken to go. I was in a rush but have heard great things The waitress smiled and was extremely polite. The restaurant was very clean. The Fattoush with chicken was very flavorful. I love the fresh crunch of the combo of pita, peppers, and cucumbers. They were very generous with the salad dressing which I like. I would probably add one more chunk of chicken to complete the salad. *** the menu prices on the window are not reflective of the actual prices of the food. It said the Fattoush was 11 dollars and 3 dollars extra for the chicken, but I was rung up 14 dollars plus 3 for the chicken. Overall great salad. It's a bit pricey though for a salad. read more

My daughter goes to school near here and was looking online for new restaurants to try and found this place. We tried to go a week ago, we stopped by at 3:30 and they are closed from 3-4pm. Which is fine with us. We came a week later. Earlier in the day and ate. My daughter had the chicken souvlaki sandwich and I had the beef souvlaki sandwich. We both loved are sandwiches. It isn't a big restaurant but the food they serve is amazing! Interiors decor is definitely modern with a hint of simple elegance from the booths to the tables. Plenty of parking outside as it is part of a small shopping complex in the area. We tried their Laylas platter with meat for appetizer which was perfect for parents and myself. The hummus was just perfection! I got the mixed grilled plate while my parents tried the chicken shawarma and chicken noodle soup. Everything was well seasoned and grilled wonderfully, the best part was that nothing made us feel like it was a heavy meal. The garlic whip is worth putting on everything. Then, the worker nicely asked me if I had any questions. She explained that the food was Mediterranean and next to Greece, but less spicy. She helped me select a very great chicken meal, L. We got their chicken kebab platter and their beef kebab platter. The chicken was kind of dry but the beef was tender. They forgot one of our salads... which is a shame because it was refreshing! The pita is very thin and not like other pita that I have tried. It is still very good though. I especially like their rice, garlic whip, and their babaganouch (or however you spell it). I read the reviews and saw some pictures and knew right away that this was a good choice for a birthday dinner. I reserved a table and told them we are celebrating a birthday. Our server gave us a nice birthday treat that surprised my friend. I appreciated that. It is a nice small restaurant, very intimate type of atmosphere. We went there dinner time on a Saturday night. My friend had the beef shawarma and I had chicken kabob. We both thought the food was dry but decent and flavorful. Salad was good. The staff there are nice and welcoming. We were recommended to try Layla's by a dear friend of ours, as it's part of their regular dinner rotation and they've been going for years. We were in the area, and we did a carryout of the following: +Layla's Platter - hummus, baba ghannouj, grape leaves, falafel, spinach pies, and tabouleh +Meat Pies - open-faced dough shells filled with ground beef, onions, and pine nuts +Stuffed Kibbeh - deep-fried bulgur shell with ground beef, pine nuts, and onions +Beef Kabob - grilled chunks of ribeye steak, served with grilled veggies and their famous Garlic Whip +Shish Tawouk - grilled chicken kabobs, served with grilled veggies, rice (or, can opt for french fries), and their famous Garlic Whip +Beef Shawarma - sliced marinated beef with veggies, tahini, and rice +Chicken Shawarma - with sliced marinated chicken breast, veggies, rice, and the house's Garlic Whip I was really excited for the Garlic Whip, as I'm a huge garlic fan; however, this was more of a sour tangy 'whipped' consistency, which a small amount went a long way; I think with the spices and the seasoning that they used, the whip complemented the meats. The food, overall, was fresh; I thought the kabobs and the shawarma could have been more flavorful. I did notice that there was a lack of salt, which is great for those who are watching their sodium intake, but I feel as if it the protein could have been seasoned better. My husband and I were actually introduced to Layla's through a private event that was hosted here and loved it so much we came back a week later. The host remembered us, which meant a lot to us. The restaurant itself is pretty small inside, but when we arrived on a Friday around 7 there were plenty of tables. The food is so delicious I almost left no crumbs on the plate when I was done. The prices are a little higher than some other similar restaurants, but it's probably due to prices being raised everywhere. My husband and I will definitely be back! read more
