I'm really confused on these reviews. The place inside was scary and unfinished. The floor was a mess, the wall had a horrible paint job, there's a random dirty chalk board in the back and the tvs weren't on. The staff was nice but nothing overly done. The food was sooo overpriced and the food was unauthentic. I got the lamb gyro and fries. First off, the lamb was cut into cubes! Normal lamb gyros are thinly sliced off. The rice on my husband's plate had no flavor and I didn't really like the white sauce that came with it. I love Mediterranean but this unfortunately was not for me.

Got the lamb gyro and hummus and pita with a drink. Cost 22$ little pricey. But service was fast. Nice big portion. But it was good nothing special.

This place is definitely going to join the rotation of my go-to spots in the area. I had the chicken platter, a small was enough for me! They do not skimp out with the protein, as other places do at times. The chicken was well seasoned, the salad was fresh, and the rice was cooked perfectly. They are also very fast, the food came out just after I paid and found a place to sit. You can look into the kitchen, and they seemed to be cooking everything to order, so kudos to the employees. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a quick, delicious, filling bite. I can't wait to go back!

This is the case with Lama Mediterranean Cuisine in The Woodlands. My wife had a doctor's appointment at 2 pm and we live about 35 miles away, I figured go early and get some lunch and then get to the doctor with a full stomach. We put the address into the GPS and pulled right up in front of the restaurant. While it was nice weather outside, we decided to sit indoors and I am glad we did because I noticed some diners outdoors were batting away insects. Our server, Abraham came quickly and took our drink orders while we studied the menu and admired the beautifully decorated interior of the restaurant. Blue is a strong color they have used effectively, there is a large dinging room for a big group just off the main dining room and a bar at the far west end. We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. My wife had the regular fries and I had sweet potato which were cooked perfectly, so light and crisp. We couldn't resist ordering some baklava to go, my wife thought walnut sounded good but our server said he felt the cashew was the best so we ordered that. When he brought it out, he said that there were 2 pieces of the cashew but he also added one of walnut at no charge, what a treat. We will be coming back here, the restaurant overall was super fresh and clean, service was great and the food was fantastic.

I finally visited this Greek/Mediterranean/Persian restaurant on a Sunday for lunch to see why it's…read morerated so high. Inside is elegant and well decorated with glass tables and large rugs everywhere. Looking at the menu, it's a mix of various cuisines, but they do separate out the Persian dishes which are somewhat similar to Mediterranean ones just cost a little more and have different spices altogether. If you visit on weekend nights, you'll likely get to see belly dancing here. I settled on the chicken shawarma wrap, even though it costs a few dollars more than the chicken pita. It does come with one side for $21,and I chose French fries. It tasted pretty good, but you do have to get used to the pickles which gives the wrap an overall weird taste. These are not your typical pickles which go well with American fried chicken sandwiches. A Mexican tortilla is used as a wrap here instead of the bread they use for wraps in other Mediterranean restaurants in Houston. If I wanted a chicken burrito, i would have dined at a Mexican restaurant. The fries are previously frozen ones and lightly seasoned and really only decent when hot. Unfortunately this is one of those restaurants which takes care of newly seated guests and large parties but ignores the tables of 1. Not my fault I only have one in my party. They seated me in the corner and another gentleman came about 20 mins after me and I never saw a waitress go to his table after being served his entree either. The chef or kitchen hand is the one who brings out the entree from the kitchen here and my waitress never showed up until they try to take your plate away. However, I was still eating and also waiting for 10 mins on a refill. I can only eat so much before needing to take a sip of a liquid...but if you come with a party of one here..you will likely be waiting awhile. The lady taking my plate wasn't even my waitress either. Meanwhile, for the gentleman sitting outside alone, I observed his drink to be empty a while and they weren't refilling his either. He finally leaves and goes to a cash register to pay. What? A semi-fine dining elegant spot with mandolin playing in the background has a cash register where you have to go up to pay? What is this world coming to? With these prices, they should roll out red carpet from the front door to your table each time you walk in....and surely make the waitress do something for once and take your card and swipe it herself at the cash register which shouldn't be in the middle of the damn room. Sort of defeats the purpose of being elegant. Did I mention the glasses are plastic here too. If they want to be refined, try at least using glasses for drinks.

Unfortunately, our experience last night was completely different. We placed an online order, and my high school son picked it up. When I looked at the bag, I noticed that the sauces had spilled because the lids were not closed properly. The sauces were all over the napkins, utensils, and pita bread. I was willing to overlook that as an honest mistake. However, when I looked at the actual food, the portions were significantly smaller than what we had received during our previous visits. I thought perhaps online orders received different portions, so again, I was willing to let it go. Then I noticed that the pita chips were missing, despite being part of the order. I had also requested extra pickled onions, but there were barely any. At that point, I decided to go back to the restaurant to have the order corrected. What should have been a simple situation turned into another 30 minutes of driving back and forth and waiting for the food to be remade. What was most disappointing, however, was the customer service. The employees appeared frustrated and annoyed that we had returned and needed the order corrected. Rather than feeling like they wanted to help resolve the issue, we felt like we were inconveniencing them. We were also left waiting while employees helped other customers who had gotten in line behind us. Mistakes happen. I completely understand that. Food gets left out of orders, lids don't always get closed properly, and things can be missed during a busy shift. What matters is how you treat the customer when a mistake happens. In my experience, when a restaurant makes a mistake, the staff typically apologizes, fixes the issue, and makes the customer feel valued. Unfortunately, that was not our experience last night. After being so impressed with our first two visits, this was honestly one of the worst customer-service experiences we've had at a restaurant. I hope management sees this and uses it as an opportunity to address what happened and ensure customers are treated with kindness and respect when something goes wrong. We really enjoyed CAVA and were excited to become regular customers. It's disappointing that one experience can change that so quickly.

We started doing this when the pandemic was winding down as a way to get out with friends since we could not previously and also support our local restaurants. Since I got to pick this month, I picked Cafe Petra and am glad I did! My wife and I were the first to arrive and when we told them we would be eating with 7 others from our club they quickly pulled some tables together. Our young server was very good, she took drink orders and delivered them to the right customers very quickly. After a bit of socializing we placed our orders and it wasn't very long and food was coming to our table. I had the Chicken Shawarma and Gyro Combo plate and it was a huge serving that also started with a nice salad. Others in our group had gyro sandwiches, salads and even baclava. My wife loved the French fries that are so crisp. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with Mediterranean decor, there is a big screen at one end with scenes from Greece and other parts of the region. As I said, service was very good and the servings were large enough that several of our group took home to-go boxes. We will go back in the future.

Gyro was good as well. Kibbi (fried dough with ground beef inside) was delicious esp when dipped with Tzatziki. Yum! Dolmas was good too. For the price, there was a decent amount of food. Had to pack some home as we were stuffed. Staff is friendly and offered some suggestions. They have other things in the menu like seafood that we look forward to try next time.

Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the desserts. I recently bought the assorted cookie box along with several assorted cake desserts to take home and try. I spent close to $70 on the desserts, so I was really hoping they would be worth it. Unfortunately, we were extremely underwhelmed. The dessert I was most excited to try was the marzipan cookie because I've had a really good one at another Greek restaurant. This one is called a Kourambiedes (almond cookie), and unfortunately it was very disappointing. The texture was actually great, but the flavor was extremely off. It almost tasted like plastic. I'm not sure if the wrong ingredient was used or if there was too much baking soda or baking powder, but something definitely seemed off with it. I was also really excited to try the pistachio cake, but unfortunately it had very little pistachio flavor at all, which was a letdown. The baklava were dry, and the rest of the cookies in the box were also very dry and didn't stand out, especially considering how much we spent. I really do enjoy Niko Niko and their food, but based on this experience, I probably wouldn't spend that much on their desserts again.
