Gyro
Jamal W.

Come to the Gyro House if you desire a nice gyro and good portion size. This is a hidden gem in the Delmar Loop. The ppace is small. It's has comfortable seating. The staff was pleasant. They know their regulars. One day they may know me to as I plan to be back. The gyro was good. The portion size was great. I will say that it was tasty.

Jumbo gyro

The gyro house is one of my favorite go to gyro places in stl. It's a small space with about 10 tables inside and they set some up outside on nice days. It sits right across the street from the pageant. Every time I go the staff greets me and is as friendly as can be. I always get the jumbo gyro it comes with extra meat and feta! Highly recommended

Delicious food with indoor and outdoor dining options (2 tables outside). Order at the counter and they will bring the food out to you. Falafel - $7 - 3 flavorful and crispy falafels served with a side of hummus and pitas. Everything tasted fresh. Gyro $8.50 - A generous portion of meat is served on top a pita with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and covered in tzatziki sauce. Pita is nice and pillowy. .|\---/| | o_o | .\_^_/..2022

Lamb gyro plate

I was so excited to eat my gyro because it smelled so good, then I realized I didn't a picture as I was about to dig in. I really enjoyed the lamb gyro plate, the meat was well seasoned and tender. All the extra toppings really tied the meal up nicely! I will definitely be going back!

Best baklava in STL!
Luke L.

First let me say- they have the best baklava in saint Louis. Sometimes I'll stop by just for that. The gyros and combo plates are all very yummy and you get a good amount of food for your money. Every time I've been, the staff is friendly. I usually take my food to go. The shop is a bit small and isn't really the kind of vibe that makes you wanna visit for a sit down experience, but it's simple and clean if you do decide to stay. But the food is definitely worth coming back for.

Ordered the wings "trashed" it is not on the menu - you need to ask for this. The tangiest, crispiest wings with some heat and parmesan sprinkled on top. Absolutely delicious. We also ordered the burger med well and that was also juicy and full of flavor. Tasted like a homemade burger on the grill. Fries were also battered to perfection. Must try spot!!

We took the first table available, which happened to be in the middle of the entry way. It was a rather odd placement, but it beat having to wait! Our server was prompt and immediately gave us water and menus. Since it was late, I opted for something light and chose the blackened white fish that came with rice pilaf and veggies. Score for being healthy and fitting my macros without having to substitute. My boyfriend got the hot wings and a gyro salad, while his friend got the chicken kebabs and a salad. Their food came first while mine came later. I sampled a piece of the gyro meat and it was quite tasty but had a taco flavor, which I found odd considering we were at a Greek restaurant! My dish was good. It wasn't that blackened but it was still seasoned well and had great flavor. The vegetables were a bit basic and could have used more seasoning. Aside from that, the dish was a hit and our service was great. I'll for sure be back.

Parking is easy within a block or two. Outdoor, booth, and table seating is available. My husband had the gluten free pasta because it is also vegan, and no lie and true to form, it was delightful and light! The tomato sauce is Perfection: not too acidic, not too sweet, letting the grand yet humble tomato shine. I chose the puttanesca, one of my favorite traditional Italian pastas. I would order this again!! Had plenty for lunch the next day. Not to be left out: the toasted ravs and cannoli. I've had a few T-ravs since moving to StL, and these are excellent. The tomato sauce for dipping, once again, is a real treat. The cannolis? Precious, flaky, and dreamy. I ate one at our table and took the second bad boy home. FIRE.

It's a big restaurant with lots of seating and an extensive menu. The service was friendly and attentive. For an appetizer we chose toasted ravioli and they were some of the best I have had. Flavorful filling, crispy exterior, and plenty of Parmesan cheese. We all really enjoyed these. The complimentary bread with olive oil was also nice while we waited. Not a ton of places still have this. I also liked that the olive oil was seasoned which gave it a nice kick. For entrees we ordered two lasagnas, salmon pasta and a frisco burger. All were good but the lasagna was the standout. A little spicy and very filling. The salmon could have used a little extra salt but I loved the grilled flavor. Since it was my birthday they gave me a complimentary mini cannoli. It was so cute and very tasty! If I wasn't so full I would have loved a full sized one. If we go back again I would try a pizza and Palmer's style chicken. Both looked really good!
