My first time at Gyro House and my last I think. First the service was quick and very good for only one person working the restaurant at 6pm. I ordered a (I'm about to butcher this) Silvalki Sandwich and Greek Fries listed on the menu for $7.99. After I placed my order the server told me to "grab a drink". So I did and sat down. We received our food quickly and dug in. The fries were good but must have been left in the fryer too long because several were too hard. But the flavors were good. The sandwich was where I was very disappointed. The meat tasted like it was cooked when they opened that morning, dry like it had been sitting on a warmer all day or something. The seasoning was overwhelmingly salty and there were strange pink vegetable things in the sandwich. Which may be part of their unique recipe but they have a weird texture, taste and color. And I love me some vegetables. When we finished and went up to pay all of our bills were around $13. Someone I was with said there was small print saying fries and a drink were an extra $4. For a hole in the wall place you would expect better prices on the quality of food you get. Not a fan of small print and not being told when something may be added onto my bill. Not worth a return trip to gamble on getting better food when there are other places in town with proven track records. read more

I've always ate at the Kabob house when I was feeling like Greek food. I was pleasantly surprised when I decided the Gyro house! 10x's better than the kabob house no question! The chicken shawarma sandwich is amazing! The flavors are perfect and the chicken was moist! Falafel was perfectly cooked! Crispy on the outside and moist inside. The Greek fries was amazing! Wrote a 5 star review before and changing my mind to 100000 stars. This is the best Greek restaurant you'll ever go to. I know that the falafel and the hummus are made in house, fresh, daily. We had our backyard wedding catered by Gyro House because we love it so much. Everyone loved the food and the crowd favorite of the night was GH's sauce. I'm not kidding when I say this is the LITERAL best yogurt/tzaziki sauce you will ever have. The owner is one of the kindest restaurant owners you'll ever meet. My first time trying the Gyro House, and I gotta say this place is great. I've been to a couple of Gyro restaurants and this one tops them. I got the regular gyro with fries and a drink, size was great and was just topped with meat and grilled veggies a perfect balance of both. Now I'm not to big of a fan of tzatziki sauce and it's like the place read my mind on the gyro, it had the perfect amount to where it wasn't overwhelming but also none existent. Probably my only complaint would be the fries, although they were really good but they put the sauce on them which I wasn't a fan. Still went good with them but then again I'm not a fan. Place was nice, Customer service was great, took a few minutes to get our order because there is only one cook but it wasn't a long wait. Noise was moderate and they had the game on. My new favorite Yakima stop! From the moment you enter to leave this place just makes you happy. Service is top notch, friendly, warm and welcoming. The food WOW so so good! We eat on the road a lot from work travel to leisure travel. We got chicken shawarma dinner and lamb shawarma dinner with fries on the side. This has been the best Greek I have had between LA, Vegas and Washington. Desserts are on point too. They are very generous with everything. I will be back for sure! read more

I would definitely recommend this place. It has great outdoor seating and the food is delicious. I was just confused on how to order, and why one of the orders did not come with fries (no one had ordered fries to begin with) and what we were being charged for. I wish there was a little more transparency but overall their casual atmosphere is very accommodating for larger groups. I will come back again. read more

Great place with a lunch special that you cannot beat. I am a CFO by day so I appreciate the good food at a good price (value). Also some of the nicest and friendly guys running the place. Comparatively speaking the dining area is on par with most small Greek restaurants, hence the low cost meals. This is now one of my regular go-to places for lunch. read more

The flavor is a bit on the blander side for me and the price is kinda high for someone who doesn't eat as much. However, large food quantity make up for that to a certain extent. Holy Smokes! Nas is a wizard behind that grill. I ordered and mixed Kabab special and the girlfriend ordered the gyro special. That chicken on my dish was some of the best and most tender chicken I've ever had. The humus and salad were both fresh and delicious. We had our two VEGAN friends with us and they found something on the menu as well. Who would have thought this small hole in the wall restaurant would be hiding in Yakima? The first time I decided to come here I had some high hopes from the fact that some people had exaggerated an nonexistent extravagance they claimed this place pertained but that was not the case! After I ordered my food I saw the guy grab two pita from a Costco brand bag of pitas. This place is not fresh! The food at first touch tasted spoiled like literally rotten, foul smelling and tasting. The fries were even just inedible. But after having just the worst food I've ever had. I decided to give it another shot and mostly because the other Greek spot in town was closed! And I though to myself a place couldn't taste that bad if still in business and maybe just that batch of food was spoiled. So I took my first bite and came to conclusion that this food is just utterly disgusting! I don't understand how this place is still in business because the food is just soo badd!
