The first time I decided to come here I had some high hopes from the fact that some people had exaggerated an nonexistent extravagance they claimed this place pertained but that was not the case! After I ordered my food I saw the guy grab two pita from a Costco brand bag of pitas. This place is not fresh! The food at first touch tasted spoiled like literally rotten, foul smelling and tasting. The fries were even just inedible. But after having just the worst food I've ever had. I decided to give it another shot and mostly because the other Greek spot in town was closed! And I though to myself a place couldn't taste that bad if still in business and maybe just that batch of food was spoiled. So I took my first bite and came to conclusion that this food is just utterly disgusting! I don't understand how this place is still in business because the food is just soo badd! Good, solid gyros. Not inspired gyros, but quite good. Fresh veggies, real tomatoes and romaine lettuce; no iceberg. The addition of bell pepper was interesting. Sauce didn't include feta but was tasty. Service was friendly and fast, and meat was steaming hot while veggies were still cold. Price was good, too. Recommend if you're in Yakima and need to scratch a gyro itch. Bathroom needs a door that latches easily, a coat/purse/diaper bag hook on the wall and a changing table (there's space) to truly be women and children friendly. read more

Our 1st time here and my goodness... the salad veggies were crunchy and fresh, salad dressing was delish and the kebab and gyro meat was outstanding! The flavor on the meat marinade is something I've never tasted before and it keeps us wanting more! Not to mention the cook here is a one-man show, he is super friendly and always smiling. And this place is always busy!! Be sure to give him a try but be patient as your meal can take up to 20 minutes since he makes it from scratch. Great place for lunch or dinner. Greek fries are delicious and so was the daily special offered 365 days per year. Much better than the previous tenants food and very nice employee. Probably the best Gyro I have ever had. The guys who work there were super busy but still provided exceptional service and took the time to talk to us. If I could choose ZERO stars, I would! I really wanted a gyros last night, so I stopped in here. The 2 cooks kept going to the back, while food was cooking/burning in the front kitchen. The food was terrible, with precooked meat that was dry & leathery. The most concerning part was the cooking area was DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY! The cook stopped to refill the taziki sauce bottle mid Service. The bottle had sauce dried around the rim of the screw top. These two young kids never stopped once to "wipe" or clean up anything! This is THE place in Yakima for a great sandwich. We decided to try someplace new to us and under recommendation from my son we stopped here. We were greeted immediately and handed a menu even though there was a large sign stating "Order at the counter". A quick looky look of the lunch items we knew what we wanted. Both guys there are delightful hosts and cooks. We sat down smelling the yummy scents coming from the flat top. This isn't a place you come to for ambiance or romanticism. What you do get is tasty, HOT food that is cooked to order. We both enjoyed our lunches and the "new" restaurant will now be a frequented place of ours. Let me also add that the lamb/beef meat on the gyro was well seasoned with fresh grilled veggies on a soft pillowy pita. My hubby's chicken schwarma was also delicious. read more

Great price, but won't be back. I had the gyro sandwich and asked for it To Go. I sat and waited for about 20 mins before it was brought out in a basket. I asked again for it to go and the guy apologized and boxed it up. The fries had waaaay too much tzaziki sauce for my taste, and I wasn't a fan of the feta. The sandwich itself was good, lots of veggies, I'd have liked more meat, but again too much tzaziki. They did not offer me a cup for a to go drink as their special advertises, and I didn't realize it came with one until I saw the sign outside after I left, or else I would have asked for a cup.
