A small quiet place to enjoy fresh brew and Thai food! There's seating inside and outside. Just inside the door there's a contactless locker system that keeps cold food cold and hot food hot for those who order online and come by to pick up their order. The ambience is very pleasant, the decor is gray/white/black and has a lot of thought behind the selections of wall covering everything is in sync. I love the recipe choice for Phad Thai!!! If you come here, you've got to get it, it's super delicious. Well done Lai Thai!!

BLT bagel sandwich so fresh and delicious.

The dishes are extra generous with about 2 servings worth of food each. For a starter, we had the crab rangoon which came with more pieces than we were expecting. The crab flavor was more pronounced than the cream cheese- which we found delicious. I thought all rangoon were basically from the same supplier, but these were richer than any we had before. I ordered a blue Thai iced tea. I think I was expecting blue raspberry Italian soda flavor, which this was definitely not. It had an earthy, unique flavor that is closer to an ube. They mentioned it was made from butterfly peas. Pad Thai came with plenty of large prawns and was full of tangy tamarind flavor. Three stars was the perfect balance of heat for me. It reminded me of the very first Pad Thai I had back in 1999 at a restaurant in Seattle that no longer exists. It immediately made me feel nostalgia for that era. Tom Kha soup is pure comfort food with a hearty coconut milk base and plenty of carrots, onions, broccoli, green beans, tomato and mushrooms. They bring you a large portion of rice to accompany the dish which I always like to mix in with my soup. This was my girlfriend's favorite dish here. The mango sticky rice had hot, sticky rice, sliced mangos and sweet cream drizzled all over the top. The mango was fresh and firm. This was a nice balance of flavors without overt sweetness drowning anything out. The service was excellent with the staff anticipating our refill needs and checking on us often. The ambience for dining was simple and understated. They call their fare "Thai street food" and the decor matches that to a T. Not fancy, but quaint and perfect for a fun date. Overall, we are very happy that we found this place and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys good Thai cuisine.

It was a pretty rough dinner service. The staff works hard, but they were clearly overwhelmed by the dinner rush. The phone was ringing off the hook and takeout customers were waiting a while for pick up orders. To top it off, it was a bit hot inside (the server even apologized for the temperature). The Food & Drinks: Thai Sampler: Mixed bag. The egg rolls and crab rangoons were good, but the chicken and prawn satay were bland and overcooked. Came with a basic side salad. Pepper Stir Fry: Very basic. Not flavor and nothing to write home about. Chicken Yakisoba: Just okay. Standard, typical flavor, but decent overall. Lemonade Boba (x2): Tasted good, but took about 20 minutes just to reach the table. Again they were just back ordered. Korean Corn Dog: Ordered, but it was forgotten and never made it to the table. When we got our check I asked our waitress to take it off she ended up giving us two for free to take with us - which was really kind. I am not sure if they just had an off day or if this is a normal. I feel for them but probably won't return.

One of us would have said slightly better than average casual Chinese food. The other one of us thinks this is some of the best Chinese food in a long time. The service was good. Everyone was friendly and helpful. No disagreements there. The atmosphere - one of us found it at the lower end of casual Asian dining. The other one of us just didn't care. The value. One of us found it very overpriced. The other one didn't care and pointed to how expensive every restaurant is now, while the first one of us wanted to point out that this is priced for a much nicer dining experience (eg, atmosphere, presentation, and even the fairly tasty meal just don't support the pricing). Portions, at least on entrees (we didn't try the appetizers), are pretty good, so that helps. Also, one of us would point out that it's often described as "dim sum," but a handful of pricey appetizers is not what is expected as a "dim sum" experience. By this logic, every restaurant (or at least every Chinese restaurant) could market itself as "dim sum" if it has appetizers, which they all do. That isn't what I expect of dim sum. So, there you have it - we're split. We will return to try the appetizers (aka "dim sum"), but it won't be cheap. It seems very popular and I wish them success, with a few improvements.
