I'm new to the area and loved this spot! I ordered a gyro and fries to go, and was very pleasantly surprised! The fries were a little salty for me, but the gyro was so good I definitely want to stop by again and try more of the menu items. This was recommended by another local so I figured I'd give it a go. It was really after lunch so not much of a crowd here nor the neighboring places. There was lots of seating inside, a counter by the window, and some outside patio seating. I decided inside for today. I knew what I want so when the waitperson went to hand me a menu I said "no thanks, just a Gyro and a water." I didn't take too long to get either. The sandwich was large! It was also the first time the meat was is thin strips like fries vs what I expected off a a spit. The sandwich was good and it was wise for them to put the tzatziki sauce on the side. We went here on a Friday night around 7pm and there were a few tables filled in. We both ordered the Hummus Shawarma, however, when the food came, we were given a Hummus Shawarma and a Chicken Kebab plate. When we corrected that we were supposed to have two Hummus Shawarma plates, our server stated she knew that but she messed up the tables...and then proceeded to say if I didn't want the Chicken Kebab plate, she could switch it out. This was honestly very confusing as it essentially seemed to us like she was admitting she messed up the order but was simply assuming I would be fine with something I did not order and would only change it if I directly asked? I am guessing our facial expressions and "uhms..." clued her into this as she then offered to bring a side of hummus free of charge...I would have been astounded if she had tried to charge extra considering what I ordered was supposed to include hummus. It was truly a very odd interaction and I don't know why she wouldn't have just brought over a side of hummus to begin with to rectify the mistake or simply said they made a mistake and thus my plate would be taking a little bit longer. We also had to request silverware after waiting for the hummus to be delivered. The food was fine, but kind of subpar, we both felt the chicken was overly seasoned with cinnamon as that was the primary flavor and that the hummus was the best part - even more reason I would have been upset had I not received it. It was kind of a weird mix between a fast casual setting and sit-down place. We were brought menus and waters and our order was taken and delivered making it feel like a sit down restaurant, but we seated ourselves, there was no checking in after the food was dropped off, no cleaning of dishes, and we checked out on the iPad which made it feel more fast casual. First time here, and they have been in biz for a few years already according to the gal behind the counter. The place was totally empty when I stopped in for a late lunch to go one day. I was handed a menu and gave a few mins to look it over. I asked if they had Gyro sandwiches. The lady assured me they did, and then I inquired about the Greek salads. I asked if one was big enough to share with my husband. I was told they were pretty small and should get one for each of us. I placed my order of two gyro sandwich's, two Greek salads and one baklava to go. I paid and had a seat. I waited about 18 mins for my food. I was starting to get concerned because after all I was the only one in there, and I just ordered two sandwiches and two salads. Finally....it came out, she quickly bagged it and I took it and left (my fault). I normally check the food before leaving. I get out to my car and something is telling me I should check my order....two very large Greek salads, and each one could have fed 4 people. And then I opened the container expecting to see a sandwhich in each. Nope it was just a pile of meat. No pita, no lettuce, no tomatoes, no tzatziki sauce. I went back in....asked if I got someone else's order they said no. And I explained my confusion with what I got. They quickly took the meat and made them in to sandwiches and renter Ed them to me. I didn't get any money back or anything else said to me. Just sent me on way. Now on to the actually meal. The salad was just okay. They had black olives and not calamari olives on the salad and it just wasn't the best. The gyros were decent - but making meat. I don't think they put all the meat on the sandwhich that was in that container. If I needed to pay more, I would have. For me, a place like this can offer no wrong chicken shawama, kabobs, hummus, or the oh so garlic condiment. But what could make everything wrong is the pita. The difference between the pita that's offered here vs. pita that is made from scratch is like the difference of Thomas bagels you get at the grocery store vs. the freshly made bagels at Einstein. First off I love that this restaurant opens at 10:30am, I appreciate an early lunch. We showed up right at 10:30 and were greeted with a smile and sat immediately by a very nice man. Come to find out he is the owner and cook, and just all round nice person. We had the hummus which was very flavorful, actually ordered another to go. The lentil soup was piping hot, had a hint of lemon and puréed. It was super tasty. We also go the chicken skewer lunch plate, it comes with one skewer which is plenty along with the rice and salad. Been here two times now and neither time disappointed. Firstly the restaurant has amazing decor. Just dropped dead gorgeous and so culturally rich. The owner, Joel I'm pretty sure, is very involved with the food and how the staff and patrons interact. The food is hands down amazing. Got the first time lamb chefs plate. Pretty good hummus and babaganoush , decent falafel (not sure if they make it in house) the thing I find disappointing is the gyro meat is some frozen or refrigerated pre sliced flat meat that they dice up on the flat top . Simple Kronos brand gyro meat on the spit is such a superior flavor and texture and bite to it. Truly disappointing to see the owners using this product when at the end of the day when a place has the name "Gyros" in the business name you'd expect fresh spit roasted meat . I know deep down the owner knows this and is likely not wanting to go this route for cost effective measures but there isn't really a lot of places in the Littleton area to get a gyro and being by the mall it's a prime location to draw traffic just for a simple pita sandwich (not to mention the low quality pita side they offer with combo meals and shawarma it disappoints. It's almost like there's no competition in the area so it's a non compete demographic thats just happy to have a Mediterranean food option. The tzatziki or whatever white sauce they give is so flat flavor wise. It's truly not hard to make a yogurt cucumber fresh dill small batch sauce fresh that will truly draw people in for offering a fresh sauce that speaks volumes when wanting a fresh flavor . Of course having all the other offerings that are more than just a gyro are things that draw patrons but dont our Gyros in your name unless you are truly dialed in to what a good gyro is. I'd imagine a Doner Kebab would do really well too. The other proteins are decent but nothing speaks volumes or makes me think wow this place deserves 4+ stars it's lack luster. My husband and I shared a gyro plate. Everything about it was excellent and tasted like what we've experienced in our travels to the Middle East. The beef and lamb had a wonderful spice. I wondered if I'd accidentally gotten a lamb kofta, but didn't see one on the menu?? I was worried I'd be ill it tasted so off, but I never did get sick,so again, wondering if some lamb was used? In any case, it wasn't a very pleasant experience and I pulled the meat out after a few bites because I was so nervous about it. I looooove beef kofta and have never had one taste so off so I'm not sure what was going on. Im honestly surprised Im having to write this because of all the raving reviews but this place was not it. I ordered beforehand for a take out order and they didn't start preparing the food until I got there. I waited 15 minutes until I was able to bring it home. I got a chefs plate gyro with pita bread and walnut baklava. The rice was flavorless, the hummus and tzatziki tasted off and the baklava was so wet that it was sitting in a puddle making the bottom soggy. The pita was also from a bag so it wasn't fresh. The only reason Im not giving a 1 star is because the gyro meat tasted good. For the price that I paid, Im very upset with the food that I received. read more
