Stopped in for breakfast with my husband. We had driven past several times and decided it was time to try it. It was early so there were not many folks there as of yet. They have ample parking in their lot. The dining space has many plants which makes it pleasant and homey. We were welcomed and advised to sit wherever. I asked for coffee and water and my husband went with just water. He ordered the 4x4 Special which consisted of two pancakes, two sausage links, two strips of bacon and two eggs. He was asked if he wanted his eggs scrambled or medium. He chose medium. I ordered two eggs, hashbrowns, toast and bacon. Given the same choice, I chose medium for my eggs as well and sourdough for my toast. Our breakfast was out in no time. The medium eggs were perfect, just enough yolk for dipping. We both enjoyed our breakfast. The bacon was the perfect crisp for me. The hashbrowns were homemade, not from a freezer. We each had enough left that we combined it into a box to bring home. The service was great. Payment is at the counter when the meal is done. They do have a sign that "cash is better." That way they are not paying the credit card percentage. I paid with cash. I would recommend and will most definitely be back. read more

A very disappointing first (and last) visit to Stone Cafe today. From the moment we walked in, we were basically ignored and/or made to feel like an imposition. Slow service (with never a smile), and had to ask for a coffee refill from a server other than our own. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the food was good. NEVER AGAIN! read more

The wait staff is great! The kitchen had to be reminded twice to do my soup-then the soup came splashed all over the sandwich that was sticking to the plate. I left and have not been back since. A real shame as the ladies who served are wonderful! read more

Ok, I'm impressed. I was feeling nostalgic as this building was an Arctic Circle restaurant in my intemperate youth. It was time to stop in again. First of all, the service was incredible. It has a real down home, old world feel and I really enjoyed it. The building is clean, recently renovated and the parking lot is well maintained and plentiful. There is road construction on Federal right in front of it so getting in and out can be tricky. The food was amazing. Hot, fresh, well prepared and the portions were extremely large. Much larger than I was expecting or even used to. My photos will show that clearly. The French toast breakfast was so large that it came in two full size carry out containers. I really enjoyed my breakfast at this restaurant and I will certainly be returning. read more

We had a really horrible experience with our waitress Wahida. It was supposed to be a party of 5, but ended up being 4, and we told her it was just us, but she walked away and ignored us. After 15 minutes, she still hadn't taken our order, so I had to find her to tell her we were ready. Then 25 minutes later, the food was ready but we didn't get it for another 10 minutes. She never came back to check if we needed anything or if the food was okay. When she brought the bill, she just walked away without asking if we wanted refills or anything else. She was rude and didn't make us feel welcome at all. read more

Twice I was forgotten at the table for coffee. Everyone else got theirs, and refills but not me. I ordered a side salad, it was all lettuce, and a few chopped up frozen tomatoes. Then I got a patty melt, it was flavorless. Most likely won't go back. read more
