A rare find in someplace like Valdosta, GA that makes a ceremonial grade matcha. The service was quick, efficient and helpful. Our order was the matcha and peppermint mocha both with almond milk. Their simple syrup is made in house which almost always denotes a quality establishment. Both were delicious and hit the spot. It's a cute place with lots of room for a lot of people to hang out without being on top of people. Although, from a couple of conversations around us, it appeared to also be a place where locals hang out and talk up the pretty lady customers, lol. Great large coffee shop in downtown Valdota. On a road trip from Tampa to Atlanta and needed to stop for a few hours to catch up on work, and decided to try something new. It is a further off the highway when compared with Starbucks or Just Love Coffee, but if you need to spend some time hanging out, then i recommend it here. I only got a coffee with an extra shot, but the coffee was good. Limited menu like a boutique shop, but seasonal drinks and some other things. It apparently turns into a bourbon and martini bar at night, but I can't imagine I'd ever be here unless I was driving through. The shop itself is very big. Lots of open spaces, tables, outlets, etc. Even a separate room away from the music playing and people hanging out. I don't think it was intended to be a "quiet" space for work, but it was a nice reprieve from the noise to get through a couple of meetings, and is right up front so there's a lot of natural light from the street. And I don't mean to say the main area is loud - but you know coffee shops. Standard laid back music playing and people having conversations. You could definitely get work done from the main area, but it was nice to have a quieter space, too. They have some outside seating on the sidewalk, if you have your pup with you or if its just a nice day. I did not notice if there were outlets outside. Wifi works great. Limited food options, but i was just here for the caffeine anyway. read more

We were traveling on I-75 and my wife said "I'm in the mood - for coffee lol". She found GUD Coffee Company in downtown Valdosta. We loved this place! Very easy to find parking on the side streets (at least the time of day for us). I got the 12oz Vanilla Bean hot latte. It was very good! My wife got the 12oz Date N' Oats. She said it was very tasty and full of flavor. We shared a chicken salad sandwich and it very good and full of flavor. She said she just finished making it. This coffee is very big and has a lot of places to sit and relax. Everyone was super friendly. Everything was very clean. We will definitely be back in the future! Coffee house expert here lol. I work remotely so I've been to countless coffee shops esp in the Valdosta area and the quality here is really exceptional for the area. The cappuccino is very close to the European style - strong! Just Love Coffee is so very weak by comparison. I've tried their lattes as well and the seasonal flavors are fun. They have a variety of seating arrangements- stools, small tables, sofas, etc. Lots of options if you're a solo traveler or if you want to meet up with a friend or two. Gūd coffee? No, this is GREAT coffee. It was my morning office for about three hours today of emails and a Zoom call or two. I started off with a perfect cortado that provided the wake up juice I needed to sign in to work. And later, a regular drip coffee that kept me fueled for the rest of the morning. This is a large coffee shop with plenty of space. I can see it easily getting busy with people on laptops and studying as it is a comfortable open area. The barista was friendly and smiling. Gud coffee has a stunning space in beautiful downtown Valdosta. It's beautifully decorated for the holiday season with tons of seating. Unfortunately, the baristas were not very welcoming, even though they weren't particularly busy on bar. I hate to say it, but the coffee was nothing to write home about either. The espresso left a very unpleasant taste in my mouth which leads me to believe no one bothered to dial things in this morning. My family and I like to try new coffee shops while on vacation. Gud was our choice today. We all ordered various lattes and they all were good. I liked the cozy vibe of this place. It has has plenty of seating, including a meeting lounge. There is a nice Christmas decor inside. Parking is on the street and depending on the time of day, you may have to circle the block a few times. I was really excited walking into this shop. It's certainly well furnished and decorated, especially for the holiday seasons. I love all of the live plants and the abundance of space inside there's even a conference room area if you need a private or quiet space. However, the taste of the coffee was not quite right. I needed to add a lot of cinnamon and honey to make my oat milk latte drinkable. My dad and brother ordered lattes with regular milk, and they both were less than enjoyable. On top of that, the staff wasn't particularly friendly. We all felt like we were just a number being pushed through, and they weren't particularly busy. Very disappointing. read more

We needed a pick-me-up during our trip back from Florida and decided to stop by. This was more out of the way than we would have liked, but we are glad we gave it a try. There is street parking and a large lot behind the coffee shop. It is really cute inside with tables and seating. There were groups socializing and studying on a Saturday afternoon. We tried the following: 16oz Brown Butter Latte with Oat Milk ($6.25) 16oz Vanilla Rose Latte with Oat Milk ($6.75) The coffee was delicious, but my vanilla rose latte tasted of neither. My latte just tasted like a sweetened latte. I desperately searched for even a hint of rose or even vanilla and could not find it anywhere. I enjoyed it, nonetheless, but I would be lying if I said I was not disappointed. Especially considering I passed up on my favorite (honey lavender) to try this one out. Hubs enjoyed his brown butter latte, however I found it a touch too sweet. All in all, if we were back in the area we would stop by again, but I would not order the same latte. Wow. This café and inn alone make me want to return to Valdosta. It's hard to find a real latte and quiet atmosphere back home. This café has both. I stepped out of my room at Book and Table Inn and stepped into a quiet, cozy (slightly bookwormy, slightly industrial) haven of rest. I'm sure it's busier when classes at the local uni are in session, so if you're looking for something super quiet, check this place out during the summer break. I didn't catch the barista's name, but he was very friendly--always a bonus! My brown butter latte tasted exactly as a latte should. It was creamy, mellow, and just sweet enough from the milk and caramelization. I can't get that back home in Pensacola. As a side note: I was sold more than just a latte, today. I sat down and started reading on my iPad when I noticed how quietly the machine was steaming up my latte. I had to inquire about this witchcraft. I have never heard an espresso machine that quiet. The ones I've personally used have always been obnoxiously loud (like screaming banshee loud).
