We had an excellent dinner at Host Friday night, Aug 8. We shared the 10 ounce hangar steak and the large Ceasar salad with roasted potatoes as our side. The Ceasar salad was the best I have ever had! So garlicky and flavorful. The steak was very good as well. No scraps left for our dog, either. Our server was delightful as well. I've eaten here a couple of times, and overall it's been a good experience with solid, high-quality food. However, I did notice a drop in the steak option recently. I removed a star because there's a $7 sardine appetizer on the menu, and what we received were just three ordinary canned sardines on a plate. We were expecting a more interesting appetizer--fresh sardines, or at least something closer to that--so it was a letdown. read more

This was the Lake Creek Lodge. Purchased by new owners as of 2025 seasons. Chef bought it so same chef but menu has changed & is very limited. Only one appetizer, few salads, few sandwiches (burger), and proteins with size for family style but $$$. It was more upscale before and we loved it and ate there often and now less so. Be sure to ask what sauces come on your food as ours had quite a lot and unexpectedly. Just know new ownership, limited menu, more casual. They do have a small bar and beautifully covered, outdoor deck which is nice--so if you are looking for casual and a burger or maybe a salmon, it has both. read more

Very interesting experience at Host Supper club. Food was superb visually and on the palette. Service was exemplary and the camp ground setting was down right pleasing. Camp Sherman is a small geographic area but has much to enjoy. Host Supper Club is in the Lake Lodge and is run by family members. The menu is small but covers a wide range of interests. I had a Manhattan mocktail that was delightful and a mushroom soup that was worth the visit on it's own. My entree was Blackened fish cooked very delicately. How can you do that ? Kristy's birthday desert was gifted to our table and the creme Brule had wonderful tiny figs and other fruits on it. I would order it again next time also. We had a fantastic dinner! Hanger steaks, perfectly cooked, and delicious! Veggies and potatoes had amazing light sauces to enhance, and also delicious! Margaritas were excellent. Not an extensive menu, but everything we had was superior. We will be back! read more
