Kale salad with added Teri chicken
    Katie B.

Decent choice for food if staying closer to Tumulo than Bend. It's in the food cart area so you can mix and match. We got a kale power salad ($9) with added Teri chicken ($5) and a side of Mac salad ($5). The kale salad was pretty good, fresh, with a variety of toppings. It was a little low on dressing, but with the addition of the chicken, it was plenty salty. The chicken was moist but incredibly salty. It could have done with a little less time marinating, or somehow with less saltiness in the marinade. You really needed to eat it with a lot of rice or salad. The mac salad was disappointing. Given the portions of kale salad I expected a bit more in the container and it was just mac. No bits of carrot or anything and rather bland - it was a good contrast however to what we nicknamed the salt chicken. Overall the food was ok, but nothing to really warrant a return visit.

Teriyaki chicken plate: good flavor but the chicken was a bit chewy and the rice seemed a bit old. Good quick, friendly service.

Talk about amazing food! I am from out of state and stumbled upon The Bite! With lots of options like pizza and Mexican food, I noticed the Hawaiian truck "Haole's Plate Lunches." The employees Ker and Corey were both so welcoming and helped us out with the menu! We decided to go with an assortment of choices so that we were all satisfied! The teriyaki chicken was so tender and I barely any fatty pieces. The beef had so much flavor and the pork was spicy without it being overly crazy! We were stuffed and definitely had some to take home with us! The country music was definitely a plus!

Good food. Lots of choices. Especially for gluten free. The salad side is a nice alternative. Chicken was tender, moist and flavorful.

I'm very happy I went. I had a breakfast burrito there this morning and it was delicious. The lady who made it was very nice too and helpful

Decent size portions, but they definitely use liquid smoke as an additive. Wish there was better Hawaiian food in Central, Oregon.

A little expensive given the portion sizes but I am delighted that they are thriving in Tumalo!

Meat was rubbery and flavorless. We couldn't eat it and went to another cart in the pod.

Ordered the pork and got food poisoning a few hours later. Will not be eating here again.

We came by at 530pm on a weekday and man were we happy to have come early. This place was busy busy…read moreand we now understand why. You counter order/pay and then are assigned a table (very helpful when you are a party of 6). Later on, we even saw people getting delivered their drinks while waiting in line). This Asian inspired fast causal place did not disappoint in flavors or food (and with very reasonable prices to boot). We loved the esquites (traditionally Mexican style street corn) with fish sauce - so so good. The strawberry & crispy rice salad and Thai beef salads were both bright, fresh, and tasty. The dan dan noodles, lomo saltado, and curries were all great as well. As an extra icing on top - the drinks (especially the $3 nonalcoholic shrub and homemade sodas) were great as well. We loved this place.

Food was probably a 4 by itself but the order system is weird which made the ambience chaotic. They…read moremake everyone order before seating first, which in theory would make the wait time shorter but in practice this didn't work because the same guy taking orders was the guy bartending at the front. Needs one guy serving drinks and answering questions about the menu, and one person taking orders. The food was Chinese fusion with Mexican influences and we got mala noodles, 1 shrimp taco, and fried chicken. I'm Chinese and my husband is Mexican, so in theory this place would be right up our alley. However the shrimp taco's tortilla was not made fresh which is is the whole point of the taco (the salsa and the tortilla). The chicken was decent but not spectacular. The mala noodle was good on flavor (kudos for keeping the "ma" part intact) and probably the best part of the meal, but the rice noodle needs to be cooked 1-2 minutes less.

A one star for me is a rare occurrence but, seriously.... Just avoid this place…read more.. To call this a tiki bar is an insult to the entire culture around Tiki. Let's just start out with the atmosphere.... This place is just covered in craft store plants and Amazon decorations. No character nothing special. Now I could've gotten past that if the drinks were OK. I didn't have super high hopes, but I was very excited to find a Tiki Bar in Bend while I was traveling for work. So I started out with just a classic Mai Tai after looking over the menu and being pretty disappointed that it's just the most basic "tiki" drinks in existence. The Mai Tai was flat out awful, and I mean AWFUL. It tasted like water mixed with lime juice. No alcohol taste in anyway, and not even a drip of Orgeat taste. It is so bad that it upset me, and it's completely clear like water. I did decide to stay cause I needed a break from the long week of work, but I just went straight to rum straight. I could've overlooked this, if there was even any slight conversation at the bar with the bartenders, but they had no interest in talking to the people that were there, three of the people at the bar were employees, and the entire time was just them talking together about how much they don't like rum or even the drinks on the menu. Wild. Past that they were talking about how they store their juices, and that they don't date label them in any way or throw them out after a certain amount of days, they just come in and taste them to see if they've gone bad. Get the f*** out of here.... A quick Google search will show you that most citrus juices start to oxidize within the hour, and orange and pineapple are not far behind... Don't even come here and give it a try, just go somewhere else.... This place should not be in business.
