Tony, as the owner, is personally on site for every job, which speaks volumes. His team is professional, caring, and works incredibly hard. They always show up exactly when they say they will, and in all seven moves, not one single item has ever been broken. The care they take in packing, wrapping, and protecting belongings is truly exceptional. As a realtor, I not only trust Tony with my own moves, but I confidently recommend him to all of my clients. There is simply no other local moving company that compares to Tony and his team when it comes to reliability, professionalism, and peace of mind.     What should have been a fairly easy move became complicated and confused. I was living with my…read morefather in a small apartment, and I needed to return to my own home. The only designations for the items were to go to my home or Goodwill. Easy, right? All the furniture basically was designated to go to Goodwill. I was told by Tony Lowe that it wasn't good enough for Goodwill. There were cherry pieces, a hutch, end tables and a nightstand that were original Pennsylvania House furniture purchased in Terryville, Connecticut. This was like insulting my parents themselves. The furniture was nicked up in the previous move as we went with a more discount mover. However, it certainly was good enough for Goodwill or better. This person brought about seven college-aged guys with him which I thought was ludicrous for a small move. So instead of giving my instructions once I had to say the same things repeatedly. The guys were very nice, although their boss was pompous, condescending, insensitive, and was even laughing at me. From the start he was a rude jerk. I never remember a move being this bad. I was in a lot of pain, soon to be followed by much more pain because the movers left a lot of stuff behind that I had to manually move myself. The whole job felt rushed because they told us repeatedly that they were on their way to another job which sounded much more important, a mansion as one of the guys said. My sister who hired this mover must not have read the other negative reviews. I had a simple request for a special litter box to be brought over. I bagged up the clean litter and put it inside the litter box. Things are expensive now, and I don't have money to waste. Tony basically laughed in my face, and they threw away the litter box, I'm sure. My mother's special pink stool that I shouldn't have entrusted to them, never made it to my home. I believe some special Christmas ornaments, as well, never made it to my home. It would have gone much smoother with maybe two or three guys at the most. Too many cooks spoil the soup! Many items were left unlabeled, and my sister had indicated that boxed items would be labeled. I did as much preparation as I could in advance. My sister, being the POA, received and paid the bill. I asked to know the amount, but I never received an answer. It's probably outrageous. Then I needed to tip the guys so they didn't get that much because I had $105 on me which had to be divided 7 ways. This bill and tip were my dad's to cover, unfortunately.

    Worst move and worst customer service ever. Salesperson didn't ask enough questions about items…read morebeing moved. They said they would.pack items and when they arrived to pack up items I was informed that it would cost more. So I agreed to pay. The person in charge was rude and ignorant and just blaming me for all the items. The company put the items into storage and I was charged for that, that was fine. Then it came time to have items moved to new location. The man in the office wasn't professional at all telling me the dates and times he could move the items. Not really accommodating me. Then he was rude about the fact I had to arrange funds before the move. Then the items arrived to be moved into storage unit and home. Well pictures were broken, a folk art piece broken, china cabinet damaged on bottom, then come to find out pieces left behind because they decided to put some pieces into another part of there warehouse. No idea why, he gave excuse that the warehouse manager wasn't there to help sort. So I asked to have those pieces delivered, yet again he told me when he was going to do it. I was to be thankful he wasn't charging me for storage. So in the time that passed lost a tv, a new bbq still in box, hardware for putting a bed together, a very large painting, smaller painting done on driftwood, then I was given a tv not even mine. So again I asked him for my things. He said that now I have to file a insurance claim. He was to send out the forms, that was on march 17, 2021. Still no forms, then he said he mails forms every two weeks. Weird business practice. So I started unpacking items. Pieces missing on crystal decanters, crystal bowl broken, a pair of victorian cases damaged. That was only.in three boxes much more to unpack. These people don't care about your items and are just rude and ignorant. I think the man in charge should be fired and if he is the family man running this business should be shut down permanently. Never never never do business with these people I paid over $3000.00 for a move from ct to rhode island.

After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They're all so polite, friendly and efficient. Within 1 day, I already feel 95% settled in. It's the easiest, stress-free moving experience I had in a while!

Before they even arrived, I got a tracking link to follow their location just like Uber, which immediately made me feel at ease. Crisanto and his crew showed up right on time and were incredible. They worked quickly but carefully, wrapping all of my furniture and somehow managing three giant mirrors without a single issue. Not one complaint and not one moment of stress. What really stood out was how above and beyond they went. They helped me figure out which part of my couch would actually fit in my space, laid out my rugs, and organized everything so I could still move around my studio comfortably. Also shoutout to one of the crew members who was on his first day. You truly could not tell. The whole team was professional, efficient, and just genuinely great to work with. This was hands down the easiest move I've ever had. If you are debating which moving company to use, this is your sign. Go with them.

Our moving made up for the subpar scheduling experience: The only complaint I have is regarding scheduling and confirmation. When we called to confirm the move for the next day. Chris the owner, mistakenly thought that my girlfriend calling and texting for an appointment confirmation was one of his workers. (At least he addressed her in a way that was unacceptable) He was rude, abrupt, and crude. He asked "why we were texting at 8 PM". Three points here: 1-When receiving messages, confirm you know who the message is coming from - a customer or a employee. 2-Revise your reservation confirmation system. There was a lack of clarity in terms of knowing whether we had a confirmed appointment or not. 3-Speak to customers with respect!

When I first contacted Chris, he requested full payment via Venmo/Zelle, which I completed. The day before the move, I reached out to confirm details and did not receive a response. When I called, I was told "it's all set," but there were no additional details provided. On moving day, both workers arrived on time and were polite and professional. However, they did not have the equipment typically needed for moving a piano, such as a ramp or specialized moving tools. As a result, I had to assist with lifting the piano alongside my spouse. While I appreciate that the workers who arrived were courteous and did their best with what they had, the preparation and coordination for the job did not meet my expectations for a piano and heavy item move. I tipped the workers for their effort, but based on my experience, I would not use this company again.
