This review is long overdue. Bell came through for my family in a real pinch. On my wedding day, my wife's dress got badly creased/wrinkled, and we couldn't do anything ourselves to get it out. And we only had a couple hours left to get to the venue. I went to Bell, my usual cleaner for suits/sport jackets (which always look crisp after they come back from a trip to Bell), and I believe the owner helped me out. They not only prioritized the job, totally understanding the situation, but did it free of charge. That's the kind of service you can only get from a trusted, local institution. Really bummed. I brought a few things here a couple years ago and had phenomenal service, so didn't hesitate to try them again. Dropped off a few dresses, a pair of pants, and two sweaters before Thanksgiving. I specifically pointed out a spot on my sweater that needed attention, and she promptly taped it and said it was not problem. Just picked up my items today. The total was $75!!! Worst part is that they did not get the stain on my sweater out, and there's a new stain on one of my dresses. I understand not all spots can be taken out, but to be charged full price and have a ruined dress now, makes me wish I had just purchased a new sweater and dress. read more

I have a beige couch and I can unzip and dry clean the fabric on the cushions and pillows so decided to do it bc there were a few spots, the couch is a year old and I want to keep it looking fresh. Anyway, for what I paid I was pretty disappointed at how they turned out the first time. So they tried again, and I was unhappy again. I didn't have to make a scene or anything, the friendly guy working there knew they had not done a very good job. So I was hoping the third time is a charm. They tried another method apparently and luckily it worked! So I'm knocking them one star for having to do it three times but giving them 4 stars for doing the right thing, never giving up and in the end getting the results I hoped for. Finally, a quality dry cleaner After trying a good majority of the dry cleaners in the Avondale-Goodyear area to major disappointment, my wife turned to Bell about a year ago. Now, instead of getting dress shirts back that look like they were used as work therapy for drunk monkeys, Bell sends back crisp shirts. And they even understand the term "light" starch! My wife goes out of her way to take our stuff to Bell. She has a soft sport for the gentleman who owns the shop-- on rare occasion there is a flaw (I'm picky), he graciously apologizes and makes takes care of it. And when she was pregnant, he would insist on carrying everything out to her car for her. No more cardboard-ish apparel for me, buddy! I can now walk freely and not have people think I'm mimicking Robocop. They have solid and appreciative customers in us... read more

They have consistently done a great job on all of our dry cleaning. The service is always excellent. The clothes are always ready at the time promised. The gentleman who is usually there on weekdays is always very pleasant to deal with. We've also had some basic repairs done with good results. Nothing major, so I can't speak to alterations or anything more complicated. Finally, the store is clean and well maintained and there is ample parking to make it convenient. read more

I've lived in Miami for about 3 years now and have tried various dry cleaning services and I've never been happy with any of them. My shirts would come back wrinkly or with starch stains on them etc. Sudsies is the first company that not only did a good job but a Great job with my shirts! Aside from the quality of work their customer service is very good, you really feel that these guys care about your clothes and their quality of work (something you do not see a lot in Miami), these guys will do what it takes to keep a customer happy as they seem to offer just about anything you need from free pickup/delivery, they even come to your house and do furnature and rug cleaning. read more

I went to pick up the items back on Saturday 6th March 2021 and out of 5, 3 where done as follow: 1- cashmere care light blue fixed with cotton instead of cashmere as agreed (400$ value) 2- pink sweater fitted only on one side !!!! (300$ value) 3- Moncler jacket (passed down from family with a commercial value at the time of more then 1000$) removed of the original bow and they instead of replacing that with the same material did a horrible job on adding a doubled piece of fabric tacky and lacking sense of aesthetic. A lady called Olga did a GREAT job on my sport bra over a year ago. While in town I went there again for this items. Olga is a blond petite Eastern European lady that took great pride of her meticulous job. She shared love for fashion and in the past I worked in fashion with my name credited in international magazines such as Harpers Bazaar editorial photo shoot so we talked a little about fashion.She asked me abut what I thought about her previous job, done so long ago. I replied to her it was perfect. She did a great fitting! That is why I came back here. The cleaner itself is quite sketchy during codavid19 the Latinas lady working hard at those presses, with no pictures online on this company website that instead feature only white caucasian young smiling girls, were working without a mask and one even sticked her finger in her mouth to clean her teeth and then touched the garment she was working on without a care. Olga on the 24th of February of 2021 took time to go over the specific things to do and I tried the pink swather and she took measurements. She agreed on everything and gave me the receipt. When I picked up the items there was an old tall man (on the 5th of March 2021) that ALWAWS take payments. I realized the 3 items above described were done awfully, in disrespect to verbal agreement taken. I was surprise cause this is a really a different quality experience from the past visit. The impression is that they lied to me when I returned the 3 items back. I never ever saw Olga on Monday, 8th 2021, international woman btw, but this old tall man took the freedom to offend her seamstress telling me a client they don't know what she does half of the time in reference of her alleged mistakes. The old tall man offered me zero apologies, I paid 100$ for alterations and dry cleaning. He sounded so unprofessional to attack her because at todays date I have zero confirmations she truly did the job. As a matter of fact I left my items to the old tall man and the store has my number on file. They had someone texting me from 602-487-3037 claiming to be Olga and I only agreed to give my number to her no one else so instead the phone number was used from someone else clearly not knowing what my items needed and Olga did. This number refused to answer my call on the 12th of March, Saturday, after confirming my items to be ready on the 11th of March. I texted before calling the texts were shown as READED on iPhone. So they lied on her after offending her, maybe Olga did not even do the work at all. I left my 3 items to this man not to her and he accused her and declined responsibility telling me he did not know where the items were on the 12th over the cellphone his kid working at the store call with his cellphone. Saturday morning as I was free I had to even deal with this little punk snob-kid telling me I did not have a receipt I actually have (is a blue slip and they don't even issue real fiscal recipe in here! The kid accused me of coming in the day after, I come when I please! Shhh... So now 1700$ worth of clothing are gone! Based on the statement written in small letters on the back of what they call a receipt/blue sleep they claims they are not Responsabile for items not taken in within 30 days. You do the math I brought my items in on the 24th of February 2021 and this happened. They never issue me with a new label so I am almost running out of 30 days. So what my items are taken? This place is insane. come here at your own risk bye bye 1700$ items. I am still waiting from ASU to know what those bugs I found in my house were hopefully is not ticks or stuff like that. Otherwise enjoy them all. They are telling me on social media - avoiding answering my email to the email listed in their website - to go to talk to somebody at their store no thanks answer me here and deliver my items at 2 North Central Avenue, suite 1800 Phoenix Arizona so my lawyer can eventually get back to your lawyer so they can do some lawyer talk. Till then have fun hunting down the clothing you claim lost. March 16th UPDATE: I sent a lawyer friend because I called on Monday, I talked to the CEO Michael Jordan and he found the items but see the pictures for the quality of work done and price. Got a suit that was long overdue for spiffing up cleaned here. Suit looked good. Only oddity was that I was given one price when I called before going (first time customer) and was charged several dollars more at the register, even with an intro coupon. The turnaround time was faster than I needed, so that's a big plus if you're in a hurry. I wish it were a little easier to reach this place from where I live. I took Valley Metro and there were stops close by for either north- or southbound buses. But crossing 7th Street is a heart-stopping experience, even at the pedestrian crosswalk with lights. read more

These people do not respond to online service request, they do not respond to their Facebook messages, and when you get their email on scheduling a pick up and delivery, they send a message that you will get a message when completed. I've used Bell for over a year. No complaints or problems until this year. I was out of town for two weeks and had to call three times for pickup over that period. When I inquired about why my items were never picked up, I was informed they were short due to Covid. Totally get it but communication is everything. No attempt to communicate late pickup/no pickup was made. They simply forgot about me. I was then told they would take care of me. That turned out to mean getting my dry cleaning done and delivered, per usual, no items comped, nothing done above and beyond. I've switched cleaners. read more

I am very impressed with Bell!!! I have a traditional 8 yd kilt that needed dry cleaning and I was concerned about finding a place that would do an excellent job pressing all of the pleats. Bell did a super job and the kilt looks brand new with knife sharp pleats that are precise and even. So very happy right now and will continue to bring them my other kilts. read more

Imagine a white silk wedding dress.... black! Well, that may be a bit dramatic but it was pretty bad. More than 1.5 years after my wedding I took my dress in to Bell. They kept my dress for a couple weeks, called me when it was ready and I was so excited to see it almost new. They did a fantastic job and were careful not to over treat the lace and silk with chemicals. They made me feel like they really cared. The business is family owned and the man at the front is so nice to work with. And, the pricing was extremely fair. I paid $89 which was much more reasonable than other places I checked. I've been taking my clothes to this family-owned shop for better part of 15 years. They're very conscientious about taking good care of your clothes and they have always been responsive to my requests. For example, I don't like when my stuff smells like the dry cleaning chemicals, so they make sure things get aired out before zipping them into my handy dandy green re-usable garment bags (which they also provide at no cost). I also appreciate that they work very hard to keep up with technology and stay ahead of environmental issues. Their on-site alterations service is pretty good, as well. And, they get bonus points for remembering their customers' names. They aren't cheap but you get what you pay for - and with Bell that includes quality and good customer service. read more

Prices are reasonable and the turn around time on dry cleaning is super quick (1-2 days depending on what time you drop it off). I should have written this review a long time ago. I have been going to Bell Cleaners for years now. Geographically, they are close to me, so they were one of a few I have used in the area (Midtown). They seemed reasonably priced, and i went with them. I am usually in a hurry (pre work) when I am headed to the cleaners, so I am not big on getting my ticket. Unless there is a particular stain, here are my clothes, this is my name, and I am out of there. One particular time I was picking up my shirts, and one was missing. I mentioned it, went home looked in my closet, returned next time, and told them it was missing. It was a sale shirt from marshals, but I liked it. And finding something at marshals is not about the money, it is the time. Anyway, I told them it was a $20 shirt, and they handed me a $20 bill. I mean, no hassle, an apology, and remorse by the staff... I wash"t happy, but they cared about customers, and I was now a loyal one. Caveot!!!! I brought the $20 dollars back like a month later, as I found my shirt in a never used closet that someone had stuck my dry cleaning in one day when I was out of town. I ATE CROW BIG TIME... Be careful bringing any suits here or anything you are trying to keep in good shape. I had a suit dry cleaned and it came back with all of the buttons broken. I called and they said that they could replace the buttons but that they couldn't do it for a week. When I brought in the suit a week later, they said they probably couldn't find the right color replacement buttons. I told them the suit was made nearby and gave them the number of the Tailor. They said they would call the Tailor in order to get the right buttons and told me it would be ready in a couple weeks. When I came to pick up the suit, some of the buttons hadn't even been removed and none of the buttons had been replaced. The whole thing has just been unnecessarily difficult and left me feeling a little bit cheated. read more

Wow- above & beyond! We hired Bell Drapery through an insurance claim. We worked with Katie H. and Mike Z. and their capable team. Boy, are we happy we did! They stored and cleaned all window treatments and rugs for 3 months. When it came time to reinstall our things, Mike and his team were pros at putting our things back exactly the way they were. They took photos to help with the placement of rugs. When I requested that they come back a week later to lay out a new rug that had been on backorder, they cheerfully installed that too, even packing up and hauling off our packing boxes. It's a tough situation to move out of your house, especially during the pandemic. Bell Drapery surely made the situation a lot easier. We will remain loyal customers and will recommend them without hesitation. read more

Bell has done a good job on my shirts every time I've given them a chance - the only reason I haven't used them more is because they are a bit out of the way for me. The real reason I am writing this review, though, is the fact that they dry cleaned a US flag (a veteran burial flag that I saved from a flea market) free of charge. Update: Bell was never able to locate my heirloom rug and compensated me with a check of 1/4th of the original value. BEWARE!! If I could give zero stars I would. Bell was hired to clean two of my rugs after my house flooded. Our extremely valuable family heirloom rug had a slight discoloring on a corner so they categorized it as a total loss to my insurance. This rug was a gift from family and was very treasured so I immediately called to get more details around the damage. They sent me photos and I was so relieved that I would still be able to salvage it by putting the affected area under the couch. I offered to come pick the rug up since they wouldn't be cleaning it, but they told me I could keep it there with my other rug to both be picked up when my pack back in was scheduled. I also called my pack in company to let them know I would be keeping the large rug, therein which they also confirmed with Bell to keep the rug and that they would pick it up upon my house being ready for move in. On the day my pack back was scheduled, I got a call telling me that when they went to pick up my rugs, they only had the small one, and that they were told my very expensive, large heirloom rug "got disposed of". This was AFTER Bell tried to cover up their mistake by telling them "it was still being treated". It wasn't until my pack in crew corrected them that this rug was not to be treated, that they confessed to throwing my irreplaceable family rug out. I am still awaiting a call from the general manager for an explanation on how this could ever happen. Myself, as well as my pack in crew had reiterated that I would be keeping the rug and to keep it with my second rug that was being treated. On top of it all, my second rug was returned with TWO new damages that were not there previously even after our house had flooded. I will need to take this rug to another company to be repaired from the damage Bell did. If Bell is able to locate and return my rug I will update this review accordingly. But if not, use this company at your own risk. How they can lose a 12 x 15 true Persian rug that had extremely minimal damage is absolutely beyond my understanding. read more

Not the cheapest, but perhaps the best. By the time I was hooked on this place, I saw on the back of their business cards, something like "Jesus prefers lightly starched" or something religious. Which, for me, I have to say is a turn off. Just like the bottom of the soda cups at In N Out. However, that said, I have an open mind and enjoy the professional, friendly and family owned Bell Cleaners. They do everything right. One time they found a few bucks in a pocket and it was in a sealed envelope when I picked up my dry cleaning. I've had rugs and even outdoor patio curtains cleaned here. Parking is readily available. Religious beliefs or non beliefs aside, this is about yelping for the good guys. And Bell Cleaners fit the bill. I'm astonished that Bell Cleaners has survived the recent Recession let alone the last 30 years. The pickup and drop-off experience, which they tout in the About narrative on their web site, is non-existent, and was only memorable due to incompetence. Today I waited 15 minutes, in the dark, while the only attendant on site searched aimlessly for my order, stopping five times to check her incoming text messages no less. Once she finally located my 11 shirts and 2 pair of khakis, she offered no apology or explanation and simply stuck her hand out, in silence, in what I deduced was a request for payment. What's worse is that they wanted nearly $15 for two pair of basic khakis. When I asked about the high price the attendant looked downward and mouthed something incoherent, again sticking her hand out. I will say that $22.55 for 11 shirts is reasonable, but not so great a deal that I won't go elsewhere. If you have money (and time) to burn on martinizing, be my guest. read more

Sure, we've had our issues, as with all cleaners, but they've always been fair and quick to make it right. Unfortunately, I would not trust them with my drapes after today's experience. First, their address on the Yelp page is wrong (digits transposed). I went to the address on their website. Door is locked, no reception desk, just random stuff in the lobby and no sign on the door. I call the number on their website for the Tucson location, and she tells me they moved to 7th Street (if so, why is your website not updated??). She finally figures out that I am in Tucson and she is in Phoenix. I am NOT driving to Phoenix to get curtain panels cleaned. Still not sure why the phone number for Tucson routed to her. She was nice, and put me on hold to check on the details of the Tucson offfice. Said they were affiliated but not part of the same ownership and she can have them call me. I dropped off two dresses to get dry cleaned and I got one back with the back straps missing. I called to notify them, they could of not cared less, called me over a WEEK later, and I have not heard anything since. This happened a month ago. They also stapled through my other dress to attach the dry clean slip. DO NOT GO HERE! Your clothes will get ruined and they will not do anything to fix the situation!!! read more

I usually wait until I have quite a few clothing items to be cleaned and they can get it done within a few days. I have dropped off things in the past that needed to be ready by the next day and they have always obliged. Also, since I usually always drop off a large load of clothes to be drycleaned...when I pick them up they always help me out to my car. I have to add this update I feel it is worth mentioning. I took my favorite sweater to have it cleaned & when I picked it up all of the beautiful beads were GONE! I actually got all the way out to my car & just happened to look down & noticed it. How could they not notice this??? I took it back in & needless to say I was not happy at all, it was explained to me that the beads had melted in the cleaning process & that they would pay for it. I filled out a form & they had a check for me the very next day. Sadly, I was not able to replace my favorite sweater, but at least they gave me money to get a comparable replacement, so they get an extra star for that. read more

Way, way too expensive. They tried to charge over $200 for my wedding dress and when I took it down the road to Organicare, they did it PERFECTLY for $49. They took into account what the dress was actually like, rather than blanket charging for "wedding". I like honesty and integrity. Bell Drapery cleans well, but it is just too expensive. They overcharge also for simple items, shirts etc. Organicare is far better and far friendlier and far cheaper. read more

Awesome shop. Took a pair of my fathers old Army Officers dress blues in and thy brought them back to life. The had been sitting in a box for the past 25 years neglected and lost to time. The brass buckles had left tarnish marks on the jacket and there was an old stain in the trousers I wasn't sure they would be able to get out. I was nervous being in Phoenix they might now know how these uniforms are supposed to be taken care of. Well that was out to rest after a quick phone call and learning that they employ a wide range of veterans from many branches of the service. In fact they are a veteran owned business! Well in pleased to say that they were able to make them look as good as new. If my father still fit into these he might stand a chance at passing uniform inspection once again.
