Amazing tailor and person!!! I would trust no one else! The seamstress is so kind and sweet and knows what she is doing!

Hermine literally SAVED MY WEDDING GOWN two days before my big day. I took my dress to another seamstress who shortened my lace gown by flipping in the lace and sewing the hem up (see photo). I called Hermine and sent her photos, asking if this was normal. She explained that this was not standard practice for seamstresses and made availability for me just a few hours later. I brought my dress to Hermine on Tuesday afternoon before my Saturday wedding and she did her miracle work in less than two days!! She also found a ton of mistakes the first seamstress made and corrected them (poorly reshaped cups, misaligned crooked cups, popped stitches, visible push-up cups and gap between my breast/the cup, just to name a few). She texted me with photo updates as she was working on my dress and was up until at least 4AM working on it to make sure I'd get it on time!! Not only did she fix the bottom hemline and reposition all the lace beautifully, she reshaped and evened out the cups and made the dress fit me like a GLOVE!!! And did I mention this was all under 2 days? Hermines work was impeccable and I got compliments left and right on my wedding day. I felt so stunning and beautiful and absolutely CONFIDENT in a dress that was in such poor shape just a few days prior. A dress that I thought COULD NOT BE SAVED. Wow. Where do I even start? I bought my dress really late, I didn't know where to go to get it tailored. I didn't know what to expect and this place made my dreams come true. Hermine is quick, efficient and SO talented. My dress was handsewn and had a ton of appliqués and detail. I was so nervous that someone may butcher the dress because it had to be taken almost completely apart and put back together. Hermine was not only a talent but a sweet and generous soul. LOVE this shop! In summary, it's small, family-owned shop where you feel valued the whole time as a customer. When I brought my dress in, it only fit in the ribcage... I'm not kidding, this thing was a MESS. The bottom needed to be taken up at least 2', and the poor woman had to completely take the top apart and restructure it. She took her time and had me in to try this dress THREE times, SO much care was taken to make sure this thing was perfect for my sister's wedding. I'm telling you, she is a miracle worker! I got married in Oct.2015. I got my dress at Della Curva but when I received it I needed to take it in several inches in the bust. They recommended me here which was right down the street. When I think of GREAT customer service I think about this business. Hermane and her daughter are awesome. I needed a hem, take in, and bustle. I came in a couple of month before the wedding and they could of finish it in a month but wanted it to look just right before the wedding. (Because I was losing a lot of weight) I came in delighted to try on my dress each time and seeing the progress. I had a tough material to work with but they did it. I couldn't be happier on my dress and it looked amazing. I recommended my sister who is getting married in April to HandA and she couldn't be any happier with her visit. They take pride in their work and their customers. If they couldn't get the work I wanted done, instead of saying "no, we can only do it this way" They went to search for more options. Hermine was easy to work with and very accommodating to my impromptu timing. Only issue I have is that the straps did not seem to be altered even though this was included in the quote. I didn't notice until the morning of the wedding that the straps had to be pulled all the way to the front for dress length to fit. Otherwise, dress was taken in nicely and quickly. I purchased my wedding dress at Della Curva and was told to come here for tailoring. At first I was against having to come to Encino because I live in Rancho Cucamonga, but after I saw how great of a job was done on my dress there is no way I would have gone anywhere else. My dress needed to have the bust taken in and a bustle added. I needed to have three appointments. The first appointment was to take in my dress and measure all of the alterations. The next appointment was to check on the alterations. The final appointment was to pick up my dress. My final appointment needed to be rescheduled, but I was called hours before my appointment so that I didn't waste a trip. Two days later when I went to pick up my dress, everything was perfect. Everything was hand done and even. The bustle was perfect and simple (although the bustle did fall down all night during the wedding, but that could have been because we did something wrong) I wish I had before photos to show just how much work was done. When I got my dress you could fit a fist in the bust area. By the time my dress was done, everything fit snug and comfortable. I didn't have to spend all night pulling up my dress. read more

Thanks to your reviews I came across such sweet sisters a month ago... I was so miserable with less than 3 weeks before my wedding. My first dress was ruined and was horrified with the idea of not having the perfect dress for my big day... Once I got my new dress, I was nervous about finding the right tailor. I had 3 appointments and promised myself to meet each one before making a final decision. Well, the level of knowledge, creativity and professionalism displayed by sisters Anna and Hermine, gave me all the confidence I needed to look no more! I asked if the work was possible to be done in two weeks and they said, "no problem" I took my A line lace dress to be turned into a mermaid style and adding embroidery details to define its new shape....Most of the work had to be done by hand. They always stayed calm which helped me during my most crazy wedding time! I'm so thankful I found them! My dress took a bit longer to be finished because one of the sisters got really sick. Yet, they never stopped communicating through text and calls to reassure that I would have my dress on time. I got married on a Friday, they delivered my dress at 2am at my door step on Friday...!!!! Unbelieveable, I panic not having my dress until the day of...but it was so worth it .... I felt and looked amazing! All the hard work and long hours deserve nothing but 5 stars...! They did it... There were a few things I was not happy about, the back zipper was not right. It bugged me, it was too long?? The veil helped to hide it...the tiny hooks were not attached to hold my train. Great customer service. I brought a men's suit in for alterations. Unfortunately a mistake was made with the pants hemmed too high. I thought the suit was ruined. Hello! My name is Jenny Joya I purchased my wedding dress with Della Curva, I wanted to let you know that we went to the alteration place that was recommended by your office H & A tailoring. And well my experience there was horrible, the lady never told us she was going to leave for vacation and she rushed the work on my wedding dress it came out horrible! She left one side of the sleeves tighter than the other side and before we left with the dress I let her know but she insisted that it was ok, and that it came that way she left indents on the top side of the cup area on both sides and well as you could imagine it was horrible I now had to send it to get fixed some where else, mind you first of all it wasn't cheap to not only pay for her to fix my dress but to also have someone else fix her mistakes that H & A in the first place didn't want to fix! I know in all honesty it doesn't have anything to do with DellaCurva but since you do refer your clients there I wanted to let you know what happened, this might be a shock to you knowing how much good feedback you get from clients who have gone there! In all honesty what she did was not okay, my wedding is on July 26th she rushed the work on my dress and told me I have to pick it up in the beginning of July because she was going out of town, mind you she did not mention before she did work on my dress so, I wasn't happy with what she gave me and now I had to take my dress somewhere else to fix her mistakes! Hermina SAVED me just days before my wedding! I had to buy a new dress 5 days before my wedding after my original seamstress ruined the gown I had bought almost a year prior. Unfortunately, that seamstress ruined the dress beyond repair and it was unwearable. I purchased a new, even more gorgeous dress from Lili Bridals, who then recommended me to Hermina for a rush alteration on my brand new gown. Hermina did an incredible job hemming my dress, which ended up being a ball gown with multiple layers of tulle underneath, and she even managed to fit the back of the dress properly, add a 3-point bustle and sewed in shoulder sashes. She turned the dress around in 3 days and did a wonderful job. I loved my new gown and was so grateful for Hermina's quick turnaround and for her wonderful technical work. I highly recommend. I was referred to H&A by Della Curva which is where I purchased by wedding dressed. I needed my dress hemmed and it had a detachable off the shoulder cape that I wanted altered to show the front of my dress instead of hanging on the front. At my first appointment she went above and beyond! She suggested shortening the dress from the waist instead of hemming the bottom and losing the beautiful lace detail. She also adjusted the chest area which I hadn't even thought of. She was lovely to work with and so sweet! My dress came out PERFECT and it fit like a glove. You can tell she has a real understanding of delicate and intricate wedding gowns. This is one of the most special pieces of clothing you will ever wear and you can trust her with it 100%! My niece ended up going to her as well. She is pregnant so she needed the lining of her dress let out. The mother-daughter duo have always been gracious and given honest advise on what I should shouldn't do with my alterations and communicated with me to make sure they could meet any deadlines I needed certain items done by.
