Grabbed a half dozen bagels for my family and had high hopes. Our bagel offerings in Knox are few and far between as well as lackluster. Located in the same plaza as Total Wine, this shop is small but they used space well to fit in a few tables and an assembly line similar to Chipotle. The service was fast and friendly. They are clearly still training staff, so expect to patiently wait on getting rung up. I ordered the following bagels: Asiago Sesame seed Everything Cinnamon raisin I have only tried an Asiago thus far. The bagel is a bit more dense than I am used to with NY bagels. Not nearly as fluffy. It does have a nice outer chew. However, I couldn't even finish the bagel because of how sweet it is. Way too much sugar in the dough of a savory bagel (or any for that matter). I did give the rest of bagel to my 12 yo son who gave it a 4/5 star and said "it IS sweet, but I'm a kid and like sugar." If the other varieties we got are equally as sweet, I don't foresee going back to this spot, unfortunately. read more

This place was sadly just ok. I was excited to try it. Though another bagel place in town is much better. The bagels are very tough. I agree with another reviewer who said it was not that flavorful. Above average bagels, but nowhere near the quality of what I've had at a real NYC bagel shop. I feel like they probably cut some corners to expand to new locations. Pricing is a little steep, but not the highest I've seen. Maybe the first bagel shop claiming to offer legit NY bagels that didn't have salt bagels or at least a little bit of salt in the everything bagel mix. Wouldn't go out of my way to go there, but it's also one of the better options in town if you really want a fresh bagel. read more

Bagel was ok. Not great, not bad. When you order the bagel sandwich, which was $10-$16 depending on a topping which was bit pricy since nothing was specially great. Same as what you make at home. Bagels were just lackluster. I would rather have a bagel from the grocery store. They really have to be eaten immediately as they can super stale/hard to chew even by the next day. Had a issue last time called and asked them why there was big blotches in my egg and cheeses bagel . The lady I guess one of the owners immediately got nasty and said they put cracked pepper in the eggs . My response was i am allergic to cracked pepper she said it shows in the menu they do that I said no it didn't she hung up . Went back today 4/13/26 as soon as I walked in I asked for the same thing and asked her to please dont put in the pepper she said they pre season the grill with the cracked pepper so if I dont like it to leave she didnt want my bad energy in her place . I said so if someone doesn't like pepper she said then rhey can leave too .Highly recommend not spending your money here they are rude and don't care about what there customers like. read more

Bought half a dozen bagels to take home, where I cut them in half and froze them. Really enjoyed them - got sesame, plain and cinnamon raisin. The sesame and cinnamon raisin were better than the plain. We'll be restocking! read more

The harsh reviews made me hesitant but I found the staff to be extremely nice and quick! The tables and food service bar where they prepare the food was very clean! Lastly, my bagel was delicious. The scallion cream cheese is SO good and the bacon was nice and crispy. I will be back! read more

Read reviews on how this place has the best bagels and definitely worth trying . So I did . The bagels are over done almost burnt and very very dry . A plain bagel is $2.20 which is fine but if you ask for butter on it then the cost becomes $3.90 . They also don't cut the bagel in half unless you get sometime of topping or a sandwich. The service is great . They acknowledged you as soon as you walk in to pick up your order . Very clean store . Just disappointed about the taste of the bagel which is why you come in this place . It just wasn't good. I got an onion bagel (toasted) with veggie cream cheese. The onions were burnt and bitter tasting. And there was a sweetness to the bagel that I really didn't like. I wish I would have known that the only vegetables in the cream cheese were bell peppers. And most of them were green peppers, which I hate. read more

Was really excited and looking forward to this place but it fell flat. The bagels were better than a complimentary hotel breakfast bagel and there are better options in town. The space is well laid out and has a cool vibe. They offer bagel sandwiches, bagels and a various coffees to include a nitro. They do not have salt bagels which was a let down. The bagel itself had an ok texture but you can tell it was probably frozen. It was also a little sweeter than I expected. Complaint Regarding Experience - H&H Bagels Knoxville, TN Dear H&H Bagels Knoxville Team, I'm writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience September 21, 2025. I placed an online order at 9:50 AM, anticipating a line and trusting the estimated preparation time of 45-50 minutes provided at checkout. I later received a text notification stating my order was ready, but upon arriving at the store, I was told by a staff member that the time was "anticipated" and many customers received the same. This was not communicated clearly during the ordering process. After waiting for over an hour and twenty minutes, I inquired again and was told my order was "being worked on." During this time, it was evident that walk-in customers were being prioritized over online orders. I observed a large pile untouched online orders on the shelf, and when I escalated again, I was told that this was simply how things were handled. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the delay, and no effort to make things right. When I returned a final time to follow up due to frustration, I asked to speak to a manager and she said was. I explained that I was told my order was in process, which was clearly not true and waiting 2 hours with no communication was not right. I told her I really needed my order worked on or and update and she finally agreed with visible frustration and dismissiveness. I ultimately waited two hours and ten minutes for a simple online order, and in the end my order was wrong, but I wasn't going back at this point. I felt like a burden rather than a valued customer. Others around me were equally frustrated, some canceled their orders, while others stated they not to return. I can't imagine this is the kind of reputation H&H Bagels brand aims to build. In closing, no bagel is so good, that customers will accept this level of poor service. If your team is unable to manage online orders during peak hours, it would be far more respectful to suspend the service temporarily rather than mislead customers and diminish their experience. I understand that they are newly opened but the service was very poor! We placed an online order which said it would be ready in 45 minutes. We timed our arrival for then and on the website it said our order was ready,we got there of course there was a line but I waited an additional 40 minutes and still did not receive our order. I had to cancel as we were traveling. They should not be taking online orders if they are not going to honor the time they give you to pick up! We will not be in any hurry to return and the sad part is they did not even care that I had to cancel. Poor poor customer service !!!! read more

This is no where near NY authentic bagels. Growing up there I was blessed with freshly made bagels everyday. This place had the taste and appearance of week old bagels. Service was ok but there was no hospitality or charm when conversing with the staff. Also the drinks offered at check out doesn't even pair well with the food. read more

Really enjoyed my bacon, egg & cheese on a toasted poppyseed bagel. the eggs were perfectly cooked, not overly done, the bacon was generous and the cheese...it was cheese. This bagel was larger than I'm used to and filling. Nicely toasted and nutty, courtesy of the poppyseeds. The coffee was fresh, hot and good, with no bitterness. Sugar, sweeteners, cream and milk are available for self serve. Everyone was pleasant and, I have to say, the place was immaculate, which is notable immediately after the morning rush. I look forward to going back to try different bagels and to bringing some home, too. read more

As someone from New York I am extremely insulted that they are even allowed to call them NY bagels. The employees did not know how to turn on the grill vent causing the entire line to breathe in the smoke and stand in what felt like 100 degrees. Staff is rude. Food is overpriced. Ambiance is fast food atmosphere. Few tables adjacent to order line. Do not expect to eat there if you order near closing time. You will be asked to leave right at closing regardless of your order. We arrived about half hour before closing and finished half of our sandwich and drinks when employee said the store was closing and we had to leave because she had to sweep the floor. She said we could sit outside at the available tables. It was 3pm and 40 degrees, windy. No one was sitting outside. Another couple was also rudely asked to leave. I observed when we arrived that employee was placing all remaining bagels into a single basket. Don't know why but it made ordering difficult. When asked what kind of bagel we wanted we had to guess what kind of bagel was available and rely on the employee knowing if it was and she selected it from the mix in the basket. Should have left at that time however we wanted to see what the hype was about the H and H bagel. Holy Haties, not impressed. read more
