My experience today at Lilly Pulitzer in Montgomery Mall was bizarre. I've shopped there many times as well as online. I even get text messages from the store when something is going on in store. Today started as usual and a young, friendly associate helped me start a fitting room. She is not one of the 5 I'll describe in the story below. I went to the counter to check out and there was a woman doing something at the left register who completely avoided eye contact. Another woman was on the phone in the middle having a conversation that my daughter and I thought was ridiculous. A third woman came to the right register, did something for a minute or two and then left. Middle lady gets off the phone as a fourth woman comes up and they start chatting and walk off. I've been there at least 5, probably 7-8 minutes and none of the 4 has even acknowledged me. I turn and catch the eye of a 5th woman who's been behind me and say out loud "am I invisible?" That associate acknowledges that she is also very confused as to why I am just standing there. She actually asks what it is I'm trying to do. Uh, check out? But now I don't want to. But 3 of the 4 things I am buying are for my daughter (who has long since left) so I go through with it. I really don't know if they were just not going to help me. I won't be back. read more

This location has very welcoming and helpful staff. Once I picked up a few items, an associate asked if I wanted her to start a fitting room for me. While I was in the fitting room and asked about the sizing of a dress, the associate went to grab me a smaller size. Unfortunately all the dresses I tried on did not complement me. It was too loose on top and snug in my waistline. I did find a hot pink sweater and white jean jacket that I liked, but will wait to see if it goes on sale during their bi-annual sale. The store is bright, chic, and elegant especially the fitting room. A bit pricy, but a fun place to (window) shop. read more

Terrible customer service, no loyalty to repeat customers that spend thousands of dollars in their store. Always lots of turnover with staff. Lilly wants to be a high end store but I get better service at Walmart. I think I have finally learned my lesson in shopping here. read more

This is a large Lilly Pulitzer store. The ones I am used to only have clothing with patterns. It was nice to also see the solid color outfits for a change. read more

We love this brand and this store. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help. About the brand: while the prints on dresses may seem the same to the casual observer, there are many nuances in the wide selection of clothes available here. My wife has a good collection of clothes from this store and all the dresses are unique in their own way. The material and finish is of high quality too. Always a pleasure to shop here :) read more

( thinking that you can't afford to buy Lilly ) I love Lilly but if they will hire people like that I don't want to go there anymore. Change your people at Montgomery Mall. Their clothes are great but this location has very poor customer service. Recommends going over to Nordstrom to get your Lily Pulitzer fill!

Today I was shopping there, very dissatisfied. The sales associates are extremely discourteous and entitled. Only one young lady is to be kept at the Montgomery Mall location. Anna who is descendant from Europeans and knows better than judging someone by the hair or skin color. My daughter reserved a blouse whom may I say loves their clothes, and by the way wore one of their dresses to her graduation back in June and half of the store in a trip to Europe this past summer. As of today, she will NEVER shop there again. I went back with her today, bought the blouse that this sales clerk had put back in the rack thinking that she wasn't able to afford it. It's absolutely inadmissible to be mistreated at the Lilly Pulitzer after all these years. Such a pitty. read more

Before noon, on Mon., May 24, I stopped in the Lilly shop at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. Everything was lovely, clean & organized. The young woman that was working was too busy looking at her cell phone to even greet entering customers. As I looked around I heard the only other customer in the shop calling, from the filling room, for assistance from the employee. I had to go to the counter and tell the employee (still looking at her cell phone) that there was a client calling her from the fitting room. Really? Is this what LP pays their "staff" to do? Maybe the employees should not be playing on their phones when working. It really discouraged me from shopping in that store. read more

Roses are red, "Lillies" are white, My experience in your store... Was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in your beautiful, bright paradise of a boutique, I felt like a guest in my Aunt Sally's beach house. Although I brought a friend, who happens to be an avid Lilly shopper, I couldn't have felt more special than your wonderful sales team made me feel. As soon as I told your girls my mission, which was to find a dress to wear to a Jamaican wedding, they brought me outfit after outfit to try on. Once I found the Lilly original I wanted (Cadence), I realized you didn't have my size. As they say in Jamaica, "no problem" and that was exactly what your manager, Kelly, uttered to me. She found my size at a store in Pennsylvania, which she ensured would be overnighted to me. She mentioned she would email me with the tracking information, too. However, I had no idea I would hear from her that quick! Shortly after leaving the store, I heard a "ding" and sure enough I received the note from her. She even kept a similar dress in my size on hold in case my dress didn't arrive for some reason. But, I had faith not only in Kelly but Lilly Pulitzer for doing everything in your power to get me my dress before my husband and I left on our trip the following Wednesday. And you definitely did! Although Lilly wasn't a journalist, I am awarding you the "Pulitzer" Prize of amazing customer service and impeccable style! The latter portion of my award can be attributed to the countless compliments I received on my dress (and even the cotton dress I wore to the rehearsal dinner)! I felt like a million bucks in both outfits and I wasn't even the bride! Thank you for everything! I can't wait to visit your store again really soon! read more

Can I hire the person who decorated this store to do my room please? It's just so cute and summery and happy. Anyways, I'm a big fan of this store. It's fairly large and is a lot less cramped than Pink Palm. The fitting room area is off to the side and I really like the layout of this location. They don't carry as many accessories as Pink Palm but they always have a good sales section. The staff here are the best! Always cheery, helpful and professional which puts me in a good mood(and if you know me, I'm rarely in a good mood at the mall). I have never had less than a 5 star experience with anyone who works here. When items are not in stock they always offer to look it up to see if any neighboring stores would have it. There was a bag last summer than I loved but wanted to wait until it went on sale to purchase it. They actually took down my information and said they would contact me when it went on sale! I had never heard of any place doing that but they get major props for their customer service. I also like that they offer monogramming. I was buying a big tote bag for a friend (she wanted to use it as a baby bag) and they offered to monogram it for free. Great store, great staff and great products. All around 5 stars. read more

I am absolutely in love with the stunning patterns and prints at Lilly Pulitzer! I used to just ooh and aah at their selections on their website, but I finally got to visit their storefront in the Westfield Montgomery Mall in summer 2017. I bought a pink and white dress and it's gorgeous! Their sizes run a bit small, so be aware of that, but I was able to find my size easily and absolutely love my dress. The outfits here are perfect for the beach and vacations generally! They also have adorable colorful print bags, notebooks, wallets, etc. I am absolutely in LOVE with Lilly Pulitzer. Totally worth the price for me! And this store is perfectly set up and organized. I'll certainly be back. read more

Total;ly awful customer service at the Montgomery Mall store today! This past Sunday evening, I ordered a top online for pick-up. The first thing that went wrong was that I waited until Tuesday, and no one had contacted me that the item was ready for retrieval yet. I finally called them at noon on Tuesday, and they said they couldn't find my order, but "would try to fulfill it soon." They contacted me a couple of hours later to say I had exactly 48 hours to come get my order! I went in close to 11:45 a.m. today (Thursday). One salesperson was with a customer (who herself was with a large group, kind of overtaking the cashier counter), and the other was riffling through a clothing rack. I approached this woman--petite of stature and dark blonde hair--and told her I came for my online order. She smiled and went to the shelf where many orders were waiting. Apparently she was a trainee and needed the older salesperson to help her, which was fine. When that woman--taller and very yellow blonde hair--took over, also looked at the shelf of bags awaiting pick-up, and then said she had no record of my order. I produced the email on my phone, and she told the first woman to look at around the store, including the back area where the top might be. Then the tall woman went somewhere in the store, found a top like the one I ordered and brought it to me, saying, "Large, right?" I said, "Actually, it's medium." This was met with a kind of grunt from this tall woman. At least ten minutes had passed, and another customer wanting to return some items stood behind me, and the tall salesperson asked her to step forward to be helped. Finally, the tall woman--I guess she just wanted to get ride of me--looked quickly on the shelf again (while her customer was taking items from her bag), quickly brought a bag to the counter and yelled to the first woman, "Here it is." The tall woman tossed the bag onto the counter and turned her attention to her customer returning items. No Thank you. No, Sorry, we're a bit chaotic today. Nothing. Zilch. I was then left standing with my bag in-hand. But, before I left I quietly said, "I am less than thrilled with the customer service I have received. Look for my online review. Thank you." You are reading my review! I, the dissatisfied customer said the Thank You that they should have said to me! These people have hardly any "job" to do, and they cannot do it with an ounce of enthusiasm or politeness. I really enjoy shopping at this location. Most recently I visited to purchase clothing for an upcoming beach vacation. The staff is so helpful and knows their product well. I wish I knew the name of the brown haired lady who I believe is a manager (her name might be Irma) as she is a true asset to the company. She helped me pick age, body type appropriate pieces that are perfect for the trip. She picked a few items that I would not have picked out on my own that I love. All of the staff at this Lilly Pulitzer store location were extremely friendly and helpful. The new agendas had just come out so they had an in-store event with beverages and cookies. They also had a raffle to win an agenda, tumbler, and drink hugger! Despite the store being busy, the staff offered personalized attention and even feedback on things I tried on. They were always there and willing to get me other sizes without hovering or asking too many times. When I couldn't find the size I wanted in the skirt I wanted to purchase, they were able to locate it and call another Lilly store and have it shipped to me free of charge. So excited this location opened! I just recently had a chance to stop in and it was a great experience! Even though I came in as they were getting ready to close, they let me stay in to find a dress for my friends wedding. All the girls were really sweet and I found an awesome dress!
