I always loved H&M but today I noticed that the inventory was low and not much variety . Seemed like lots of repeat items. Dressing room floors were so dirty that the dust bunnies and bits and pieces of debri stuck to the clothes I was trying on. Then at checkout, as clerk was pulling debri off the pants, I was informed that I would have to pay for a bag. Not wanting to pay for a bag she just rolled up the clothes and handed them to me. I just so happen to stop into H&M in Meadowood Mall RENO, NV. I was on a mission to find a cute summer dress. I walked into the mall which is very old and dilapidated, it could really use a sprucing up. I happened to come across H&M and wow how impressive of a store. I looked at all the staff and how friendly they were and very knowledgeable on their clothing. The even shared with me something called garment recycling that they as a store are very involved in. They had so much clearance, a women's dream and the prices are affordable. In this economy this is my new favorite store. I brought back a shirt to return with the receipt and tag after purchasing 1 day prior and they would not accept. The employee helping me out very loudly in front of the line "there is make up all over this". So embarrassing! She said I can't take this back without the tag, I had the tag in my hand. Wish I had her name so management can teach employees how to enforce policies while not being passive aggressive. read more

Conveniently located in the Meadowood Mall. Background Browsing, looking at the new styles, especially athleisure wear on a weekday afternoon. I had a pleasant experience looking at the women's wear at H&M. I did not need customer service, but did notice that no one was around to ask if I needed help. I didn't need the help, so it was not an issue for me. I do believe that H&M has some really cute clothes for younger women and their prices are really good. Very helpful staff accept they walk by and say hi in a way that leads you to ask no questions about what you are looking for instead you give a short answer as they always look like they are rushing around and have no time for you. I give four stars since the prices are reasonable. A lot of dresses but mostly the same style or cut. Very small selection of shoes. The best past of this store was the cashier who was super helpful and answered all our questions on debit or credit and the differences concerning safety. She also suggested I send me email to them to get 5% off one item. She was so nice!! The dressing rooms are really nice and the accessories are high quality but not high priced. I look forward to coming back here. They also have a children's section which I did not check out but I am sure it's wonderful. read more

I came in with the wifey to help her pick out clothes on the guys side but quickly defected to the women's side to browse on my own. This is a place where I can usually find some cheap but cute accessories. Actually, this is the place to find clothing, shoes, and accessories at cheap prices. It's hit or miss on whether I can actually fit in the clothes here as they seem to run small. I'm not your "average" size. I got lucky today and found a plain yellow button up sweater that I liked AND actually fit. The accessories department had a lot of the very huge, chunky necklaces that I just can't seem to style correctly with an outfit so I passed on those today. There was a nice selection of ballet flats in muted tones. The cashier was very nice and helpful to my wife. I left with the sweater and was happy. I will need to check them out for more sweater colors in the future. I want one in every color of the rainbow, you'd be surprised but how hard that is to come by! Glad to check the color yellow off my list. I'm thrilled with how cheap it was. I hope it holds up well. read more

I recently moved back to Reno, after living in Las Vegas for two years, and had an enormous shock when the first snow storm of the year hit. I haven't had to bring out my winter clothes in so long, that after I started to pull them out of a storage bin I have had them in for the last two and a half years, I realized the majority of them didn't fit anymore or were way out of style. So after taking them down to the local Goodwill, it was time to update my winter fashion that consisted of only sweats and sweatshirts with UGG boots. Not cute. Being in this much smaller town, I knew my selection of stores would be very limited. Forever 21, Kohl's, Macy's, Dillards... I remembered all the stores that were here when I first left for Las Vegas, and none of them sounded that great to me. I hate going into stores like Forever 21 because I feel like it is a complete shit show in there. The clothes are all over the place, it's like tussling through a garbage bin, you can never find anything, and by the end of it you are annoyed, and the excitement of buying new clothes becomes a hassle. Randomly, I went into Meadowood Mall, to get my boyfriend a ninja turtle mug from Spencer's, and saw that little old Reno had an H&M store. I was extremely excited because this was one of my favorite stores to shop at in Las Vegas, not only because I loved the style of clothes, but it was also located in Town Square which is a local hot spot I frequented. The clothes were also always in a very good price range, not too cheap that they were going to fall apart, and not too expensive that you could only buy one thing when you went in there. The outside of the store was all windows looking into beautiful and clean display racks. There was an entrance coming from the main hallway of the mall and also an entrance going into the Men's H&M. Everything was against white walls and flooring, which made the clothes stand out. The bright lights against the white walls made the store feel clean and organized. Just by some of the clothes on the display racks, I knew I was going to do some damage in there. I walked in from the main hallway and was automatically greeted with a smiling face from one of the many beautiful girls that worked there. It was on a Wednesday afternoon and the store wasn't very busy, which I really enjoyed because I hate trying to move around a bunch of people while trying to shop. I started to stroll around the store and all the clothes were hung perfectly on their hangers, where they belonged. The store was extremely organized. I really enjoyed being in H&M, and it made me feel like I didn't have to toss through bins to find some amazing clothes. Everything was set up conveniently. The store was completely decorated with season appropriate clothing, and had a lot of designs to choose from. As soon as I started pulling clothes from the racks, one of the girls working there came over and offered to start me a room to try on the clothes I had picked out. She was on top of it too, I never had more than three things in my hand by the time she would come by to take them to the room. After I finished picking out all the clothes I liked, I went back to the changing rooms. The sales lady had hung up all the clothes I had picked out and offered to grab me different sizes if I needed it. The changing rooms where nicely sized, and had the same bright lights in them with a large mirror hanging on the wall. While I was trying on all the clothes the sales lady came by and asked if I was doing okay, which was nice. She took the clothes that I had started to hang on the "no" hanger, which gave me more room in the changing room. After I was done trying on everything, she even grabbed all the clothes and walked them to the check-out counter for me. I did pick out a lot of clothing and was a little worried with how much my final total was going to come out to. I spent a little over $400 and left with two large bags full of new winter clothes. I was very happy overall with the experience I had at H&M. The cleanliness and organization of the store, the helpful sales girl working, and the styles and prices of the clothing will make me a repeat customer. read more

I love H&M but it is clear that Reno isn't ready for it lol. This H&M location is tiny compared to other H&M's in larger cities. I'm a standard medium in H&M and this location regularly doesn't have my size so either I don't end up getting it, or go online assuming it is the same price (often online prices and store prices are not the same for H&M I've noticed). Butters mentioned not being impressed by the clothes because they are basic. H&M more or less is a basic style store so it may not be for you. This is basically a store you go for to purchase plain, solid colored shirts, pants for work, and dresses. Most of the clothes here aren't trendy but they are more pieces you could wear regularly. I get plain tank tops and v neck t shirts (all boring colors...black, white, grey. and havy) for often under $5 each. read more

This is usually where I can find close then I like, but with the service I received last night, I'll never go again. Christine was the girl who was on the register last night and she was awful. I walked up to the counter- she never greeted me. I began to tell her that I didn't want to pay $10 for a pair of leggings when all the other leggings I had were $6- she rolled her eyes at me and began slamming my items onto the counter, rather than just normally placing items after ringing them up. She didn't talk to me the rest of the moment I was there. And when I said "thank you", she completely ignored me. If you shop here and are unfortunate enough to come across this girl, just know it's very clear she hates her job and has no respect for anyone. read more

Had a very bad experience on 12/26/17 at the H & M in Reno, Nevada. Purchased a gift card for my sister for Christmas. She traveled here to visit us for the Holidays. We spent a couple of hours trying on clothes and she found some items to use for her gift card. When we went to check out they told us the gift card system was down and they couldn't accept it. We asked for any other option and they had no viable suggestions. The customer service was zero. I felt badly for the people working there. They were given no tools to handle this. All they could say is we're sorry. We have checked back with them numerous times (about 5 hours later) and the system is still down. My sister has to leave in the morning unable to use the gift card. Follow up to review. My sister spoke with customer service. They found the product numbers of the items she wished to purchase and placed the order with minimal discount. Oder was not received and she followed up with customer service again. The items were never shipped and the order was never placed. She said forget it. I will never give a gift card from H&M again. By far the worse customer service I've experienced. I purchased a black skirt not long ago, and because I had no intention of returning or exchanging I did not keep the receipt. The seam on the right side of the skirt came undone after only wearing it for two hours. I understand it's an inexpensive brand but I would hope to get a little more usage of it. I went to the store on Tuesday 07/19 around 4pm hoping to have the skirt exchanged. The two ladies working were not willing to help me or be flexible with the fact that I did not keep my receipt and I was told there was nothing they could do to help me. So I told them they could keep the skirt and I would never shop there again. I shop other brands like Prana, The North Face and others that would stand by their product and take care of the customer regardless of them having the receipt. Specially when it's an obvious manufacturers defect like what happened to the skirt. The impression I have of the brand H&M now is poor quality, poor customer service... The worse! We've found some good markdowns on kid's clothes (otherwise these prices for made-in-China crap are waaaay too high), but I walked in last week and had to shout, yes, quite literally shout to the cashiers for them to turn down the music. Their customer service is AWFUL! I was in here with my mom and we were looking at the impulse buys they have near the register and we obviously weren't waiting in line seeing as there was no line, and the snobby cashier screamed three times that she could help us and looked all pissy when we said we were still shopping. It's sad to see how lazy people get, we visited H&M to get my wife's favorite pair of jeans. She had a pair of tights and the cashier told us it was buy 2 get 1 free, so my wife asked if she could leave her stuff on the counter and grab two more pairs of tights. She said yes, that is fine. We got back in line 2 minutes later and the cashier SAW us, clocked out, and just walked away without telling our new cashier where she put the items we were about to purchase. He had trouble finding them and all it would have taken was a moment of her time to hand them to her coworker or help us. We decided to leave without purchasing the items as our new cashier couldn't find them. read more

if you get the Asian girl with the alien head shaped hair, get ready to fight for the prices. They do have a lot of bargains as the other reviews show. I found 4 items, all of which none rang up with the correct price. the first 2 were accessories for 1$ plus an additional 50% off. she adjusted the price.The next was a pant for 3$ and she said that was not the price of the pants and put it on the back. The next was a girls jacket for 7$ that also didn't ring up correctly and she said that that wasn't the correct price. OMG really? i have never had such bad customer service in any store so of course i said forget it and left. If anyone knows how to get a hold of the manager in that store please let me know. read more

The customer service was absolutely terrible. The store is unorganized to the point that I couldn't not find one thing to purchase. This H&M does not even compare to the lovely experiences I have in stores in Dallas and Kansas City. Total shame that this store is managed the way it is. read more
