The service is just amazing. My tax professional was really really helpful through out the process. He listened to everything and every concern I had. My wife's ITIN was applied for free and I got tax return docs in print those I mailed to IRS and got the refund in just 3 weeks. All in all, highly recommended if you live in the bay area. Today, I scheduled an apt with them at 8.15 PM through online, with a particular tax consultant, as I was looking for him. Since I know it is late evening appointment , I called them up the day before and confirmed the appointment. They said ok ok and they noted it also. Today, when I went there, no one was there at the reception and I have to ring the bell and a person came. She said are you ok if anyone assisted you, because the consultant whom I was looking is working with another client. She Kept on saying that i did not choose any specific consultant at time of booking it online. Then I have to show the e-mail that I received, then she started saying it is not updated in the system and some problem. And after sometime, the tax consultant whom i was supposed to meet came and repeated the same story and tried to show the appointment in their system. Why should I worry about the system that they have, which is not at all WORKING as it wanted to be ? Is the appointment which is updated wrong, is my problem or what ? They do not call us and confirm the appointment rather than they will drop an voicemail and then ask us to call back to confirm it !! In the end, he asked me to wait for 30 - 40 mins, so that he can finish up working with that client and can attend me. Am i a stupid who has spend some time in checking and booking appointment prior and then has to wait for another 40 mins to get it done ? They do not care about their customers ! They think that are the only consultants in this whole place, that people will come again, even though they were not properly treated. I just had to walk out of the place for good with just pure FRUSTRATIONS. unless you value your customer, i will not value YOU at any time. If anyone so called manager reading this - please remove this online appointment scheduling and ask your consultant to honour and value the customers, wha tthey were commited. If you dont like to serve your customers at late evening, just put a note - we will not enter at all ! To everyone - I will NOT really recommend them, you can find lot of others apart from them. I really had a bad experience with my tax return. When I went there and gave my w2 the consultant referred a wrong table and said that I owe IRS $1500 however I had checked with free online tools like turbotax and I was getting a refund. Mine was just a simple w2. Be aware if they do it to simple w2 then imagine what can happen to complex ones. So STAY AWAY. read more

I have done my taxes in H&R Block online for the past 3-4 yrs. This year there were special circumstances and after finishing the online version the program asked if I wanted to review it online or in person. I selected in person and got an appointment at this place. A lady, Ellen (maybe Helen, she talked very fast and only provided her name once) came out and opened my folder and took out my documents in the reception desk to "take a look" I asked her if we could go to a more private area (this is personal identifiable information), she stated she needed to look over the documents. I picked the documents up and repeated myself. We went to a cubicle in the back. Here she could not find my past nor current tax returns on the H&R Block system. I logged in and started showing her where I had questions, she would not let me speak much less answer my questions. She stated she could not do anything with what I had done online that she would need to do them in their system bc the online version did not have the necessary forms. I told her I was there bc the online review service and she kept saying the only thing she could do was do the returns in her system for $200-$300 not review what I had done. I asked various times if we could collaborate bc the data entry was already done, "NO! I do them here or you do them at home". I will write to H&R customer service for sending me here, but basically a waste of time and very poor and rude service. It seemed that unless things look exactly as the program the preparers use they cannot help you, my complete shock is that it's their system!!! How can they not know how the information on the online version looks!!! So much for experts! read more

Walked in so excited to do my taxes . Was introduced to this old man named Sam! Omg worst thing ever! He had no idea what he was talking about! I told him I bought a brand new car and had a daughter and worked 5 jobs in the past year all together & guess what he said! Sam: oh okay your tax return will be a little over 300 dollars Me:why I just had a newborn last year and that's automatic 1000 back & u did not even look at my numbers/income Sam: well we can file your tax and fill out some more paper for low income so u can get more but let me double check. Comes back to me with this other Asian lady Al: oh okay your tax situation is very complicated and it's gonna cost u 300 dollars. And we can add you child but you can not claim any taxes on your car because there is nothing to claim and again your tax return will be a little over 1000, 1200 to be exact. My experience! He failed to meet with me for my scheduled appointment after making me wait 40 minutes because he was too busy. I was told that I could get more moolah back on prior years for sure if I came back for my second look, so I scheduled an appointment and showed up only to find out that I had been rescheduled with someone else and that I had to wait for them to finish because they had taken another appointment ahead of me. Steer clear of this place. There is no need to sound bitter or angry in this review, but I must inform people considering this place, especially if it's your first time with taxes. First, it's an H&R block so of course everyone that works here is miserable. It's a dim awkward feeling place. The woman I had, Ms. Ginny L is by far the worst person I would trust with even lending a pen to. Very raggedy approach and unprofessional. The Warriors were playing the day and time I went and she had been talking with her last client on how she couldn't wait to get home to see Steph play. So that set the tone there. She was rude and didn't even start the meeting with the standard questions, (married, single, own anything). She looks at one sheet and tries to give you some outrageous quote and boast about how much "experience" she has. It was the worst experience to say the least lol.
