I luv HEB for our everyday shopping but this 2-star review is for their seafood selection at their Whitestone - 183 store in the CP. I stopped by midday on Friday to shop for our seafood dinner. To say I was disappointed with what was in their display case is an understatement. It was as if someone arrived earlier and said "Give me all the good seafood and leave the rest for me". There was no cod displayed, raw shrimp that was too small for even shrimp cocktail, pathetically looking flounder filets, and mushy scallops. Two stars for locating a nice cod fillet, that was hiding out back. If I was not pressed for time I would have left but I made the best of it and dinner turned out OK. Lesson learned. read more

Car parking in this particular grocery store was easy due to the moderate sized parking area. The store is clean, organized, well-stocked and has friendly staff who provides good costumer services. Prices are fair on most items that they are selling. The frozen food, cheese, and organic/healthy living sections are the areas that they excel as compared to other competitors. In my short stay in Cedar park, I have always strongly relied on this store for basic daily needs, like foods, drinks, housekeeping stuff, minor beauty products, seasonal items and a lot more. So far, my experience in using this grocery store was solid, decent and satisfactory. read more

What they have are always all over the place and feels like a maze to go about shopping for them, This store looks so outdated and needs a revamp to catchup with all the other HEB's. The most popular grocery store here in Austin. We'd been in this location multiple times during our visit this Thanksgiving week to my daughter. It's an all in one grocery store. It has everything we need. There is no need to be a member to get a discount. A coupon applies instantly on checkout. Fruits and veggies are fresh so as the other things like the meat. Big display of each kind of grocer and plenty of choices. Staff is nice. read more

One of the older women working in the deli was incredibly rude and had a massive attitude. I asked for smoked turkey, I didn't realize there was more than one option and I said "Oh no I meant this smoked turkey." She rolled her eyes and said "Well you didn't say that turkey". I responded with "I know, I'm sorry, my mistake!" She smirked and said "Yeah it is." Before slicing my turkey. She threw it in the counter and rolled her eyes again before raising an eyebrow at me and asking "What else do you want?" Nothing from you ma'am. This is just an updated review to discuss curbside pick up. This location does an excellent job with curbside pick up. The store keeps in solid contact with you about the status of your order. If a replacement is on deck, you are notified to approve or deny. You will receive a text telling you when your order is ready (during your requested pick-up window). To pick up, you simply text your parking space and wait for a friendly associate to deliver your groceries. Curbside has made grocery shopping so much easier for me! With this seamless process at this location, I don't think I'll be walking into the store any time soon. read more

For the love of all that is holy DO SOMETHING ABOUT PEOPLE BRINGING PET DOGS IN THE STORE. Saw an older couple this afternoon walking a dog costumed in a service dog vest (that was no service dog) from their car towards the store. Dog took a poo in the parking lit and they didn't clean up after it. Dog took the rest of the poo on the small grassy part right across from the store. They didn't clean that up either. Isn't the parking lot your property? If you actually enforced the 'no pets' rule maybe entitled jerks like this *might* feel mildly guilty about leaving dog turds on the hot pavement for someone to roll a shopping cart through. read more

Concerns car wash at this site. I purchased a car wash using my credit card. The prompt instructs to push your credit card all the way into the credit card slot. I did as instructed and had a difficult time getting my credit card out of the slot. Eventually removed my credit card, but it should not have been that difficult removing the card. read more

HEB stores don't provide disinfectant wipes at the entrance doors any longer. There are super bugs going around and these bugs don't respond to antibiotics . You can catch them easily at HEB . All what HEB cares about , is making profit , they don't give a damn about you or your health. read more

Phenomenal service from Josh and Tom, both work in the customer service department. I am a retired US Army officer and have experienced service around the world. Excellent service that I received today at HEB is rare!! I was looking for a unique spice and didn't find it in the spice aisle, so I asked for assistance. This store was very busy as always so I wasn't sure if someone would be able to assist me. To my surprise Josh looked up the item on his computer and Tom stopped what he was doing to go with me and find the item; AMAZING service!! I commend these two men for their phenomenal service and great professionalism; they went above and beyond the call of duty! read more

All right, we all love our HEBs . Ours is the old one at 183 and 1431. We are always happy with our visit to this store even though they are playing hide and seek with the merchandise lately. This post is about a little section at the back of the store r the deli. I'm talking about a little pasta section that features a lot of pasta items all made in Italy. Here is ravioli, tortellini and fettuccine. Every one of these offerings is delicious. I want to buy them all every time that I walk by but I do have a little discipline. If you have an Italian background , you will greatly appreciate this display. Even if you just know where Italy is, you will be pleased with your purchase. read more

Terrible customer service from cashier Trinity. I watched her conduct 2 transactions in front of me and they all used cards. When it was my time, she used the phone to call for assistance. She stated she was running low on $20 bills. The supervisor came over and asked for her request. She then started checking me out. She bagged two bags of items and stopped. The manager gave her the money. She opened the drawer and put the money in. I bagged the third bag of items. My problem is that you had me wait for her benefit. She could have done my transaction. When she opened the drawer she had twenties. She did not complete the bagging process as she had with the customers in front of me. Trinity is the worst when it comes with customer service. I had to wait for her non issues. She did not see a problem with this at all. I had 3 items over self checkout but I will go there next time to not deal with this type of BS read more

By far the worst H‑E‑B in the Austin area. Todays event but sadly not my first at this store..... Lazy self check out employee that will chase customers out of the 10 or less express area because you are over. so you can wait in line for over 10 mins at 10:30 at night. I would get it if there was a rush or it was a busy time of the day. 2/8 were in use while this lady had the only regular check out line 6 customers deep because she kept chasing them out. Absolutely poor customer service! Do better HEB! To make it clear I had 18 items not a cart busting out the top. read more

This isn't a *bad* HEB, but it's pretty basic. This is a smaller, likely older store with a parking lot to match. Due to the size restrictions, it tends to have a slightly smaller selection of things, especially in produce, bakery, and dry goods. Kudos to their frozen section, which is particularly good, though. Employees are friendly enough, the layout could use some work, and good lord does it have a slow checkout. My guess is that due to the central location, it's almost always slammed with high volume traffic. In sum, decent in a pinch. If you feel the need to breath freely, I'd go to one of the other local HEBs or Randalls. read more

They are horrible, I tripped over an extension cord where the plants are and I got hurt. I reported it and the managers told me that someone would get back to me in 48 hours. That was on Monday evening and I had to call them on Friday morning. The day manager had no idea of what happened. I am going to be 64 years old in a few weeks they knew that I was hurt and didn't even call to see if I was alright. I shop there all of the time but no more and they should be ashamed of themselves. They (Cedar Park HEB on Bell ) can care less about making the HEB flour tortillas some what decent. They are always thick, sometimes connected together, weird shapes, parts wrinkled... one time we took them back and they responded well they're tortillas they are not going to be perfect. We get that but they are using a machine and not rolling them out. I'm have attached tortillas from the HEB in Austin (Riverside store). They ALWAYS do an excellent job. read more

Infuriated the entire time. I'm new to the south and the H E B stores, and I like them, especially the "plus" store. However, this one was just so upsetting the entire time I was shopping. The plus store has a bunch of the employees running around and collecting items for people who placed online orders. This isn't a problem because the plus store is huge and has plenty of space. However, this store was having their employees doing the same thing inside of a much smaller building. It felt like we were shoulder to shoulder with someone the entire time which was very annoying. Also, the most bothersome thing for me was that there were FOUR different people not wearing masks, even though they have a mask mandate posted on the front of the building. No one came up to them and told them to put on a mask, which pretty much defeats the purpose of everyone else wearing masks when there are people breathing, talkin, and coughing around us and on the items we're about to purchase. What they need to do is cut down the amount of deliveries they take by transferring them over to the larger plus store who can handle the demand, and hire a security guard at the front that doesn't let people who aren't wearing masks. read more

They're sort of the third-world of grocery stores. Always a weird vibe. Like, if David Lynch would have designed a grocery store set for "Blue Velvet" it would look like this. Sorta depressing in a bad psilocybin mega-dose cardboard cutout distorted depth of field perception way. Just navigating the pylon driving experience-ish cluttered isles gives my contact lens a gauzy 'fishbowl-fisheye' slime coating. It's like that exact same feeling you get trying to piece together all the scattered components for a "Toeigiinslelvz" bunk bed in the warehouse section of Ikea on a rainy Saturday afternoon, as unsupervised children push those steel flatbed carts into your calves, causing permenant deep tissue trauma. I'd gladly pay a cover charge to shop at Randall's, just because I don't need a Xanax to get through the multiple social anxiety panic attacks I get every time my beautiful wife unexpectedly pulls into an HEB's just to 'grab a few things'. An hour later we manage to track down an avocado and a quart of milk. In a loving but reluctant way, I need to take into consideration that my wife was born and raised in a third-world country. So, I suspect that walking through the cacophony of random product placement and tacky decor of HEB gives her a warm nostalgic childhood feeling. read more

Its not the same HEB. Do no live up to their motto Nobody does it better. Target and Walmart stores care move about helping us than HEB. All this is based on my experience. This why I dont shop their anymore. The produce manager at heb on 183 and whitestone does not move old produce off the shelf often enough. Often get rotten apples and avacados, etc. The curbside at 183 and whitestone AND Palmer and whitestone dont care if we get the proper information from curbside desk. They allow whoever answers the phone to say they are manager. bla bla bla I got tired of teeny bopper attitude and poor food AND SERVICE. Mgmt justin didnt care when i told him what happened. just support poor employees. HEB charges 3% extra on each item we order on curbside. vegetables and fruits and meat otc meds. thats big bucks 3% each item and nowhere is that charge displayed. read more

Brandyn Gonzales the "head stocker" here is a joke. Guy looks super unprofessional. Dresses liked he rolled out of bed and stuck some dirty clothes on. Had an interview with him and did not expect him to be staring at his phone the entire time and making fun of the office with the Miami hurricanes decor in. I felt like we spent more time talking about the decor and that managers office than actually having an interview. He would belch multiple times during the interview. Just did not expect this out of H-E-B. I've been in consumer lending and banking for the last 10 years and was looking to try something new that would benefit mine and my wife's schedule and my goodness am I glad I didn't get hired here. read more

Do not Go to Gas Station Gas Station at Corner of 183 and 1431 has skimmers on the pumps. I reported to CPPD and Wilco Sheriff. and also my e receipt was double on my bank statement. I reported to HEB but of no use. no follow up after in person at store and phone calls. I had to cancel my debt card and will never buy gas at HEB again ever. beware. read more

Well-I decided to try curbside at this 183/1431 H-E-B location although I usually shop at the H-E-B in Leander. This location had more times available AND the Hubster went to our Leander H-E-B around 1100 today and said it was an absolute madhouse. We had a fairly long list and when he called to ask a question re:a product and advised me I told him to just finish up in the dairy department and check out and I would place an order for pick up. Well YIKES-he stood in line for 45"-had a new employee who was left alone to fend for herself check him out and was not very happy....(I will leave this under the Leander H-E-B too. Strangely enough when I went to the H-E-B here in Cedar Park they were also behind. I felt so bad for the employees who were busting it to get the orders out to the car. I only saw 2 different employees so it feels like staffing has been reduced-recently they removed their service fee for having their employees fill the order IF you order 24 h in advance . I get that this side of their business has much less predictability and so the concept is a good one-but if this meant reducing employees that impacts customer service. Not saying it happened that way-- but I did wait 20 minutes for my order to be brought to the car. I also want to comment that this location has done the best they can in terms of developing an area for curbside pick up, however they had to mark some former regular parking spots in the sea of their parking lot and I noted people who were using them who were not curbside patrons. Really nothing they can do about it as there doesn't appear to be an area they could separate. It's the oldest location of H-E-B in Cedar Park and although it's been updated I don't think there was any thought that there would be curbside and home delivery in their future. Perhaps they will go back to the drawing board to consider any alternate options. read more

I love all HEB's! This one is located in a really nice spot in the Cedar Park area. The parking lot is not too big compared to other locations but it's just perfect for the size of the store. Their selection is not as big as some other locations but they have all the essentials when it comes to all of their categories and they are really good at keeping everything fresh and stocked up. I have had a little trouble trying to check out when it is on the late side due to their employees being occupied and/or hanging out but once I get their attention, they get the ball rolling asap. This location still offers plastic bags since it is in Williamson County but still try to bring your own!! hehe read more

Does HEB plan to return to enforcing the wearing of masks? We didn't realize we'd ordered Curbside on Super Bowl weekend! Bless these guys hearts, they were absolutely slammed, and kept great attitudes the whole time. There was a small error with our order (missing bag), and they found it immediately when we returned and were great about helping us out with our own mistake (double clicked an item). I've had several instances where I have not received some items because the employees forgot them, and/or received milk that was going to expire within 2 days. As a customer who spends $100s every time here, I am starting to get very frustrated. I am 30 minutes away so I can't just go back. I've tried giving this H‑E‑B the benefit of the doubt but I think I have to change my stores. I understand when items are substituted or out of stock. I'm having issues with H‑E‑B employees forgetting my items therefore they are having to refund my money. It definitely doesn't help that when I spoke to a Curbside employee, she made me feel like I did something wrong. She wasn't very polite. read more

Wow, this store is busy. The first time i visited this store was in the fall of last year when everything "Pumpkin Spice" hit the shelves. The store is large and has a good layout. Also has great selection of anything you could need. I just got a few items and gas since it's was cheaper than the gas stations. There are a lot of other businesses right at this area too. Andy's, bbq, tacos and fried chicken if you need anything that you didn't get at the HEB. read more
