I love this grocery store! We are new to Texas, and was told that H-E-B is THE spot to buy groceries. I feel like I get my money's worth, especially with meat here. I utilize the curbside pick up and the employees are friendly every time. I have also used the drive thru pharmacy and they're great too. I rarely shop at this location, unless I'm passing through on the way home. Your average HEB that keeps everything well stocked, and provides all your grocery needs. One thing to note is that the deli and cheese staff is pretty top notch and extremely friendly! Very helpful and offer any assistance needed. What I was most upset about was during check out, I provided my own reusable bags, and I also had some plastic bags for my raw meats as well. I did provided that info to the cashier in which the bagger also heard. The bagger proceeded to bag my things but failed to put my raw meat in the plastic bag provided after reminding him. Instead he placed my raw chicken on top of my deli meat and cheese. He also placed my loaf of bread at the very bottom of my entire groceries. Who the hell does that?! A damn good bagger knows all bread and eggs goes on top of everything. Only an idiot would do such thing. It's pretty common sense if you ask me. read more

I was contacted by the assistant store manager six months after I posted this review. I was pleasantly surprised that someone reached out. I went in an saw the department lead Brian. He expressed his dissatisfaction with what I received from his counter as well. Not only did I receive apologies from both the AM and Brian, they replaced my market trimmed brisket point with a better cut that was over two times this cost of my original purchase. I don't often leave reviews but I my experience here this morning compelled me to. I am originally fromHouston but have lived in NYC for the past 13 years. In NYC it is impossible to find Kolaches, and 99% of New Yorkers don't even know what they are. I had an 8:30am flight this morning and set my alarm for 6am to get to H-E-B when they opened to buy some frozen Kolaches (along with some other Houston goodies )to take back to NYC with me. When o went to check out I realized I left my purse at home, and that the store has no registers with Apple/tap pay. I didn't have time to go home to get my wallet (would have missed my flight), and I didn't want to leave empty handed after all of the effort I had put into getting there. I asked for the manager , Mike Strutz, to double check if any register had Apple Pay. Unfortunately there were none. Mike went above and beyond, and let me Venmo him and paid for my groceries on his own credit card. Great customer service and he definitely went above and beyond! I am headed home with my Kolaches and couldn't be happier!!! read more

I really love this H‑E‑B. This isn't the closest to where I live, but it's much nicer. I pretty much only do curbside. The times I have run in I experienced no issues. My experience with H‑E‑B curbside at this location has been great! Of course, sometimes there are issues with things I receive, but H‑E‑B always makes it right, which I really appreciate. I trust the people here to pick my produce. I've rarely had issues with bruising or the wrong items. The staff are usually friendly, especially when they help me out my closing my gas tank when I accidentally open that instead of my trunk! I also rarely get the dreaded text of "some things in your order were out of stock," at this location. Overall, I love this H‑E‑B! read more

The H-E-B located on the Northwest Freeway at Barker Cypress Road is a wonderful grocery store and my "go to" place to shop. Their employees are always friendly and personable. Their fish is fresh and they always offer many varieties. Their deli counter is superb and they are one of the few grocery stores I know off that continue selling the wonderful Boars Head products. There are two issues I'd like to bring to the attention of the management. 1. A few years ago free samples were always available and abundant. However, in recent months it appears they've discontinued this practice and I wonder why especially given the fact samples are prevalent at the H-E-B on Fry Road in the Cy-Ranch area of Cypress. I appreciated the samples because they would often impact a purchasing decision I'd make if I had the chance to try a particular item such as a unique cheese or cold cuts of meat as examples. 2. I would appreciate having a selection of a few types of Mead in the wine department. read more

When I first walked into this particular HEB, I was super impressed. Nice clean store , bright aisles, kind of quiet, not a lot of people. I was impressed. I was in the neighborhood and had to pick up a few items for dinner, otherwise I would have been at my normal neighborhood HEB. I needed Frozen egg rolls. Not an egg roll in sight. I walked all around the store, even found a sign showing egg rolls as an appetizer, yet no egg rolls. I have a picture to prove it. So then I started to look for a partner to help, no partner. so now I'm getting irritated and start to look for a manager, no manager to be found. Now I'm really pissed, I even stopped a shipt driver and asked her if she frequented this particular store, if she perhaps knew where I could find Frozen egg rolls. The shipt shopper was very helpful and pulled out her HEB app. The app said that egg rolls would be on aisle 12, so of course I went back to aisle 12 hoping to find egg rolls. No such luck. At this point, being highly agitated and still looking for a partner and /or manager , I continue my search for egg rolls. I found some miniature beef egg rolls eventually but not the HEB brand that I usually get. I gave up on the egg rolls. I then went to check out. I did not go to the self-checkout because I had every intention of lambasting this particular HEB when the cashier asked me if I found everything okay... Of course I'm sure you know where this is going... the cashier did not breathe a word of question about my experience. Did not ask me if I found everything okay, which is the general Norm. Barely acknowledged me. there was a front-end manager who was getting cigarettes for another customer, she barely acknowledged her own customer or her partner. So I had absolutely no hopes of getting a complaint in. Clearly I am fuming, I have shopped at HEB for almost 7 years, I know what it's supposed to be like. this particular HEB wAs horrible. read more

I love the grocery store..... I don't like to go unless I have atleast an hour to look at every single thing and see what inspires me to get creative in the kitchen. This location is nice, clean, and they seem to have a grasp on how to open up new lanes to accommodate long lines.....I never seem to have to wait for very long. I usually buy my live crawfish here and they are usually good size.....no complaints. Never any flies in the produce section.......+. The only thing that I don't like about this HEB is that unlike some of the others I have been to they don't carry my new favorite peanuts..... Lord Nut Levington. read more

I seriously love this HEB! Not just because it is so close to my house (although that is a big part), but there is always easy parking, it has huge wide aisles & never feels crowded, the staff is friendly, and the gas is cheap. The store does have a slightly smaller selection than the Vintage store, but has everything you need and more-you'd have to be very particular to be disappointed (such as the fact that I wish they had sourdough bread rounds not squares....but I'll live). This is my go-to store for sure! read more

I have been going to the grocery store as a young married since 1974, and before that with my mother. Never have I ever "loved" a grocery store more than this location of HEB (Sorry Mr.Randalls..Rest in peace). Before it was built, I went to another "Brand" (Not Randalls...that other one that starts with a K), and was never able to find everything. I love to cook, but for decades I have always had to go to other stores to get everything I need. This location is one-stop shopping for me and I am particularly impressed with the layout, cleanliness and order of their produce section (Mr. Randy!). Speaking of layout, this store has things where you would expect they would be. That blew me away. Always someone to check you out quickly, and always sweet and kind people everywhere to help you. Who ever is managing my store...Thank you. P.S. We are also "seasoned" (old!) and get all of our prescriptions here. So much less costly, and they will text you when they are ready. This HEB location is great and they seem to have taken all the good workers from their Vintage location. The parking is easy to get in and out from both Grant and Spring Cypress. The produce section is great with lots of fresh options. The meat and seafood counters are smaller than the Vintage location, but seem to have their bases covered. Also features a good sized beer and wine section. The aisles are wide and easy to navigate. The only place I constantly see congestion is in the Dairy area. It is tightly laid out, so traffic seems to pile up in this specific area. The only trouble I have found so far is that with the location being so new, my doctors are having trouble finding it to send prescriptions here. I'm sure this will work out over time. read more

I've been taking Adhd meds for 5 yrs. The same dosage for the past 2 yrs. Im now uninsured & use GoodRx saving hundreds a month and not one single issue ever. Unfortunately Pharmacies/pharmacists hate the goodrx savings & don't really care if you need them if they're losing money. In March, H-E-B refused to accept GoodRx i paid $120 for a $38 rx. In April, H-E-B filled imy rx but used their discount card. In May H-E-B again denied the goodrx discount. I explained the discount would allow me to afford gas to attend my cousins funeral 2 days later. I paid over $120 for a $38 rx, Sherry, the pharmacist then decides she isn't comfortable with the dose & says she'll be calling my dr, who's been in practice nearly 40 yrs. unfortunately I missed my cousins funeral but was eventually issued a small refund the following week. My Dr called my rx in this afternoon. I called to make sure there wouldn't be an issue AGAIN. Sherry the pharmacist answered, let me know know it wasn't filled yet as she was REALLY busy with people waiting. I told her I was just trying to be proactive and get a price but she said she couldn't check until it was processed & hung up on me. I waited nearly 5 hours for a call or an app update but received nothing. I drove 11 miles, went inside & waited10 minutes before Sherry says they'll be filled tmro morning. I said I've never known it to take a pharmacy 2 days to refill a rx unless they were out. She then proceeds to get upset, irritated & very loudly says "she should be on vacation, has been too busy filling rx for people waiting there & how she'll fill diabetic and COVID meds all day before filling a C2 med like focalin in a dosage she feels is too high. She's loud enough that her 4-5 coworkers, the lady at the counter& the lady paying out can all hear her! I asked if she knew she was breaking HIPPA laws by mentioning the details of my meds tu which she responded "there's not anyone listening" One coworker hears her & comes over to interrupt to say it always takes a couple of days to fill rx and says she remembers all the trouble they had trying to get the discounted goodrx price. Her name? You guessed it, "Karen"! they both proceed to soak down to me as if I'm 5 rather than 50 & tell me all the trouble and difficulties they remember having & if I didn't like it I should have my rx filled elsewhere & then adds because SHE doesn't feel confortable filling the extra 20 mg. I asked why HEB never had an issue the past 2 years & why she didn't let my dr know she doesn't approve of his ability to write rx rather than speaking to me in that tone in front of all her coworkers & those within hearing range ? Why didn't she say something when I had her on the phone over 5 hours ago before I wasted the gas? Why did she just say she'd have it ready tmro morning? I'm not sure if she has a personal issue with me or those who benefit from good rx. She seemed so upset about not being on vacation now, she turns to tell a coworker to call management. I asked her "what's your deal? I'm not yelling I'm not being rude I'm just wondering why it takes 2 days to fill a script you said you're filling but now are saying you're not & you're now calling management?" I turned around & walked out while she continues to yell that she will leave it for the same pharmacist she claimed gave out to her to fill last month and let her decide whether or not to fill it. Really?!?! Do you actually think she'll fill it against your word? I'm most concerned knowing people, like myself, need their meds & are turned away because pharmacists like Sherry have several excuses they can throw out but to flat out refuse & suggests they know more than a dr who's been in practice for nearly 40 years & suggests you go elsewhere so they don't lose money is WRONG! read more

This store is close to our home, not as close as vintage, but we go here anyway, because of the less traffic and congestion that is Vintage Park. The only thing that I wish they'd work on, is the produce. I buy strawberries every week, even told the produce manager one time, ; and I'll get home, and find strawberries with mold, or I'll find mold in the next couple days. Vintage just seems to have better produce, so I do curbside there from now on. I just don't know what this store's deal is; it's been 2 years and I notice this everytime. read more

I love this HEB! It is never crowded and the wait in line is never more than one or two customers. They have lots of samples to give out especially in the beer/wine section. The bakery looks amazing and they offer tons of options. I can't wait to try the macaroons! The cashiers are always friendly and there is plenty of parking. They also sell lots of outdoor patio furniture and decor. read more

Love HEB, but very frustrated with the curbside app. Over the past 6 months, I've had 3 orders where the cart has emptied on its own after I spent hours building it. Seems to happen when you get more than 100 items in the cart. I called customer service and her only advice was to make sure I was logged in, which of course I was logged in. She didn't even look at my account and see if she could see the problem. I'm so frustrated that I spent so much time working on this list and now I'm going to have to try and recapture it all on paper and obviously go to the store myself. Very disappointing. I feel like I tried to tell her there was a glitch and she blew me off. read more

One of my go to H-E-Bs! When they say "here everything's better" they mean it. When I thought I had seen it all, I was proven wrong. It's almost as if H-E-B only hires the elites, as I saw the skill of fast checkout here to be parallel for that of Amory's, by the cashier there, Josh, who is also a friend of James! Sweet and comedic, this man provides one of the best customer services out there! Not only are their cashiers qualified, but their person who gives out food samples is super sweet! I believe his name is Zachary, but I have no idea if he's a friend of James or not. He's very tall for his age and knows how to cook! read more

I love having this HEB close to home. It's my go-to shopping place due to the following two reasons: 1) Every time I shop I specially look for the cashier named Colin. He has such great customer service skills. Hands down, Colin is the fastest, friendliest cashier. If he isn't working I usually go to self-check, but I always look for him first. 2) I have noticed that some of the gentlemen who work in the parking lot are very courteous and also demonstrate great customer service skills. One day in the summer during an awfully bad downpour, there was a gentleman (unfortunately I did not get his name) who was using his umbrella to help people get to their cars with their groceries. It was a kind gesture that shows he was willing to go above and beyond to help even in undesirable conditions. Overall, Colin and the gentleman referenced above are a true testament to H-E-B's values. read more

I have always loved HEB, and I am so happy to have one 5 min. away now!! I am particularly impressed with this one. They have just opened, but are performing seamlessly with none of the "just-open" hiccups to my knowledge. The employees are particularly friendly and helpful and the store is large, well stocked and thoughtfully laid out. Recently I was picking up some weekly groceries and the ladies at the seafood counter brought out a live lobster to show my 4 yr. old daughter (see pic above). Made both of our days! The only negative I would add is that all of the baked good are set out in uncovered displays in the middle of the isle! Gross! Who thought that this would be a sanitary or appealing option?! I have always loved their fresh bakery items and my daughters love the big muffins. But if I can't find their favorites pre-packaged I pass; what a shame! Could be a great adjustment! read more

I have just moved from The Woodlands, Tx and was scared about not liking my new HEB since I was so used to my usual one, well, I had NO Reason to worry at all!! The staff is VERY nice and helpful, and the store is always stocked and clean! I have been so disappointed in this pharmacy. If you need meds in a timely manner, do NOT take them here. They will take a full 24 to 36 hours to fill them, at least. Walgreens doesn't even do this. And they will not budge, no matter how much begging or explaining you do. I will be taking my prescriptions to a place that cares from now on...because they don't seem to. I have lost over an entire day in my healing each time I've dropped a prescription here. The HEB at Vintage on Louetta always fills them in a timely manner even when I walk up and give it to them, never waiting more than a few hours, if that, to fill my prescriptions. That's where I will be going from now on. Get it together HEB Pharmacy at Spring Cypress and grant . You can do MUCH better than this. Much, much better. read more

This store started off great but has rapidly gone down hill. I have experienced missing items several times after unbagging at home.
