Today 7/10/26 I was in need of some flowers for a death of a neighborhood friend. Haven't bought a larger arrangement of flowers in a long time. Prior to visiting I checked online at several floral locations and almost had a coronary! I could not believe their pricing! I usually shop at another HEB but their floral department is not anywhere near the caliber of this particular HEB. I arrived at approximately 11:00 am and saw that they had bunches of flowers 2 for $6. Therefore I thought to myself that I could still keep a personal touch of exactly what I wanted but I'm not good at arranging, trimming, etc. The young girl working was extremely helpful and said that she could arrange so I selected a clear glass vase and the rest is history. No longer my go-to store. Yesterday, no baggers (none), not hardly any shopping carts (parking lot stacked full)... Last week, an employee smoking by one of the main entrances and there were dogs everywhere inside (only one service dog), some even walking last the manager. Maybe mismanaged ???? We needed groceries as we are staying in a time share near by! We got some supplies and enjoyed walking around with all the variety of products. Everything was well stocked. I needed up buying things I didn't need because they looked so good! The produce section was great and everything looked fresh! We enjoyed the pico de gallo- store brand and their local chips! W bought a ton of HEB branded bbq sauces and chips to taken back to our family in Colorado. It was a great experience and super close to our hotel! read more

I would've given 3 stars to this H-E-B, as it wasn't any different than any other H-E-B, but I wanted to give one particular working a 1 star. There should be some grooming standards. One person, in particular, had long acrylic nails (I'd estimate 1.5" past her fingertip) and could not pick up anything. She was the bagger and struggled to pick up tuna packets from the conveyer belt and my 12 packs of soda. I did not notice why she was struggling at first, but when she ripped the bottom of the 12-pack, I noticed it. So instead of being easy to carry by the perforated grip at the top, now I have 12 individual cans to put away. read more

No words can perfectly describe the excellent customer service that is singularly H-E-B. No matter what department you visit or need, people here are always ready to serve all of us customers. Of course it's not always perfect, there's always a handful of loose nuts that negatively impact the company. But all the great things and efforts that the staff put in everyday, we would always forget the bad customer service experience if there's ever any. The lady Ashley who's been working there for 12 years was so sweet. I had put my stacked sushi on the little holder at the end of the basket and one of them had fallen onto the ground and practically exploded in the case. She noticed right away and brought me a brand new one immediately. Would totally recommend this heb! read more

I would have given 4 stars but i really disliked my experience with this Pharmacy Staff. Im not going to say her name but she reminds me of our current president. Says she will do something and did not do it. I had to wait 2-3 times longer for my medication making it even harder for my sick baby to get relief. If someone cannot perform with the amount of traffic that happens at a pharmacy then they should be moved else where more capable. read more

HEB pharmacies waste more of my time than anything except waiting in a doctor office. - I've not been notified of refills being filled - I've shown up and a refill is not ready after a call - I've picked up an injectable and been given incompatible needles and syringe - I've shown up and I'm given medicine with no needles at all - I ALWAYS have to ask fir needed and syringes - duh This is not limited to this HEB pharmacy. For service at the deli this place is terrible. 3 times this week I've stopped for fresh deli meat and watched employees talk, laugh, and do anything BUT assist customers. I was there twice by myself and once with about 3 other customers and we lol kind of just looked at each other, shrugged and walked away. Young female Caucasian cashier stated I did not have to place my 24 pack of water bottles on the belt, that she could've just scanned it. She also did not help me put those waters back in my cart once scanned until after she felt the need to correct my parenting when I asked my son to help me as I'm currently 6 months pregnant. I was told, "You really shouldn't have your child carry those waters, it's not good for him." Never have I ever been verbally harassed at a check out line, from a young girl who knows nothing about my child, his strength, and probably parenting in general. Better customer service training should be implemented at this location. Or, individuals who are not capable of keeping opinions to themselves, should not be placed in the direct line of customer service because others may not handle the situation as respectfully as I had. read more

Have previously been happy with everything here but the last two times in a row had a bad experience with the seafood... the time before last came home with oysters that smelt rotten and we tossed as soon as we got home, we hadn't smelled them because they were in a bag and we had masks on we were just trying to get in and out. Today I went to return a failing plant. I went to Alamo ranch since it was closed and was told I had to bring it back to the purchasing location. When I bout the plant in June the associate(Ricky) told me that H-E-B has a 6 month warranty on plants It's been a few days over three months. Brought to garden section and a was told by the associate(Robert) they are only as long as they receipt date. Ain't that no one could have told me that because they know. So I'm making this up aka lying. He said he would call in a store credit. We went to the customer service center and received credit for the wrong item. The cashier(Adriana) said we didn't tell her which one. She just talked to Robert about this item. Once the issue was fixed she threw the receipt and store credit on the counter. There is no polite way to do this. It's disrespectful. I did not have any attitude or rude behavior. If a policy is a policy let it be known and don't be rude about. People do matter, associates and customers alike. This one star is for today only. I have never had any issues here. I hope it doesn't happen again. read more

I like this HEB. Sure there are larger HEBs I can drive to, with more stuff, but for the basics, I usually go to this one or Target, but target's grocery section sucks. So, I think the parking is ample. I am always able to get within 50-60 yards of the entrance. That isn't bad. Luckily, the isles are short in the lot. So you don't have a prominence of people waiting, and blocking up the lot for someone to pull out while simultaneously blocking a spot 6 yards away. (If you are one of those people, get off your fat butt and walk... seriously). Their veggie and meat guys are always on point. They can usually get me what I want, from another HEB or order it in if they ran out. They keep steel head trout here. Steel head is fantastic. If you can't get it, do it. The fish guy is also awesome. Sometimes the lines seem bad, but they always move fairly quick. Plus, their check out configuration, which leaves something to be desired makes them seem longer than they actually are. I have gotten to where I know the people here, and they are pretty nice. Their beer selection is also pretty adequate. They carry enough craft beers to keep anyone who doesn't drink everyday happy enough. Their bakery always smells good too. Their cake selection is not as good as a "plus" however. I wish they also had a full service meat section, but they don't. If you am doing some intense meat buying, you are better off driving the extra 2 miles to a plus. (I sounded like a spoiled city kid there, didn't I?) Overall, no complaints. They pretty much stay on point. read more

Smaller HEB but I go here if I'm on that side of 1604 and do not feel like battling Bandera. Aisles are a bit smaller and selection isn't over the top; sometimes that does help because you don't have to sit and decide which brand name to buy - grab & go ;-) Bakery is really small and flowers are usually slim pickings. The check out lanes are short (as in, not a lot of space to put groceries). I wouldn't come here to do my weekly mega trip - 15 items or less is what I try for. Parking lot is small so it may look busy but when you go in, there aren't a lot of people there. Gas is cheap & there are plenty of pumps. read more

I am so disappointed in HEB and how they are handling the Pandemic that has shut down this city. I had called to see if they had made time for Seniors and people with illnesses that cause them to be especially cautious during this time. I was told NO that they have a service (Which I was not told who that service was) would be able to get your groceries for you and deliver them within a 8 to 10 mile radius of the store. Okay so what happens if your like me, I am over 60 and have a compromised immune system so I cannot leave the house. My husband is 70 and has a compromised lung condition and he's the one running around trying to find the basic necessities we need. If he gets sick it will be bad cause he has a lung problem already and then he'll bring it home to me and then it gets spread around our small community. So Cu do's HEB for taking care of the Senior Citizens and those that are especially susceptible to this disease. What would it hurt for you to open an hour early to allow us to be able to shop before all the hoarders come in and buy everything. Before you put us in an environment that could kill us. I am so surprised and disgusted with your response to the need of Senior Citizens and disabled I had always thought you to be a family grocery but your just the greedy neighbor like the other big box stores. read more

I normally LOVE H-E-B but this place is just a mess I wanted to get a specific kind of walnuts for my dad and when I got to the isle all the labels and such were completely in the wrong place and on top of that they didn't actually have the ones he wanted. I drove here to get a nice highway drive, but decided to buy the few things I already had in my cart and go to the Bandera H-E-B instead. I understand mistakes can be made but the whole store was just unorganized and was hard to find something especially with using the app that tells you which isle everything is at, I didn't get a chance to learn about the service since I was just annoyed and did self checkout they also didn't have several things I had on the list so I needed to go to another store anyways. I don't like saying something is bad because that's rude and disrespectful but this place wasn't that great. Still love the H-E-B chain as a whole read more

This store seems busy most of the time, but to me, everything here seems busy most of the time. I don't mind the crowds though, when the cashiers are friendly, there are usually employees nearby to assist you if need be, no matter where you are. There are food demo's, wine and beer demo's, and a great selection of produce. They have a decent organic selection and I really do like their store brand stuff. The tortillas and orange juice are two of my favorites. I think this store is plenty big and my only complaint at this time is when a coupon/sale item is missing... they seem to run out fast and then have a slew of coupons still advertising an item that isn't available anymore. I've wasted good time searching for said items. However, all in all I like this store and will certainly shop here again and again. read more

Stay away if you can. They have messed up so many of my prescriptions. They will say there is not a refill for my heart medicine but the bottle day there is 1 tell left. My doctor even complained that they are always sending fax to them. Our insurance mandates that we use them. If they didn't we would have such a long time ago. They are clueless read more

I have been coming to this HEB for 16 years and not once have I had a bad experience. I have had issues but every time I have brought it to someone attention the issue was solved. People have to remember we are all human and we make mistake, but what I like is that they try hard to fix the problem. There are employees who have work there for years they remember my son then he was a baby and now his 16 year old. The pharmacy were we get all of are prescription,flu shots and great advice from the staff is awesome. The produce department and meat department along with the bakery (where we have bought every cake for my son birthday) is great. I love the self check out I am in and out in 5 minutes ( and no lie I have timed myself). HEB is the friendly neighborhood store. I hope to be coming here for another 16 year or longer keep up the good work and I will probably be in tomorrow to pick up some more grocery. See u then. read more

This store is very clean. Josh was the cashier who checked my bags today. He was efficient yet kind and helpful. Didn't mind me using my coupons and taking a bit longer than average. It's time for me to find a new pharmacy! Service here is a big, fat ZERO! I was forced to give 1 star that it doesn't deserve. I came to the window to pick up a prescription and the lady didn't even say ONE WORD to me. Not a "hello" nor "How can I HELP you?" The only time she spoke was to to ask my date of birth because it's MANDATORY. Service here is terrible!! This is not my 1st time to encounter this kind of service. There's times where they'll leave you waiting at the counter avoiding to help you. I love my HEB but not this pharmacy. read more

I believe this is the smallest HEB in San Antonio (used to be a target)...because of this, they might not have exactly what you want, but most of the thing they do. Also, the service is just as good as any other HEB, with produce, meat and seafood, bakery, pharmacy, deli, lovely floral section, and whatever else a grocery store usually has. read more

I like this HEB. Mostly because it is the best one closest to me. I feel like I have settled for this HEB after been spoiled by the awesomeness of the 1604/Bandera one. This HEB is nice enough, but not the best. They don't have as good of a selection of anything like the Bandera one does but you can still find decent things. They run out of so many things on Sunday if you put off your grocery shopping till the evening. The cashiers are friendly and the lines move pretty quickly. read more

HEB just is inherently busy and crowded. The selection is good, but the wait is horrible. I have been waiting 1.5 hours for a prescription. When I dropped it off they said it would take 30 minutes. I have seen one peraon after another drop off and pick up their stuff before me. Bottom line, ok store at ok prices with long wait times, long lines and just under mediocre customer service. read more
