We had HG Tree Service remove a Redwood tree and a Liquid Amber tree that the original owner foolishly planted between my house and the neighbor's house about 30 years ago. One tree was in the 50 foot tall range and they tackled each removal with care to avoid damaging the surrounding fences and structures. I am a fan! After using another tree service for several years I found that their service levels were declining but their prices were not. I became aware of HG Tree Service through Money Mailer. I checked them and 2 other tree service companies and found that HG Tree Service had more and better reviews on Yelp that the other 2. Hector's response to my request for an estimate was very prompt and so was his visit. His price was significantly higher than what I had been paying but I was intent on finding another provider with better service. When Hector entered my yard he noticed that the company that had been caring from my trees had used cleats to climb the trees. He mentioned that that practice was detrimental to the health of the tree. In talking with him I became convinced that he was more knowledgeable about queen palm trees than the company I had been using. The service was scheduled. Hector's crew arrived right on time on scheduled day. They sent two men up into the trees (I have 6) and they spent about 2 hours trimming and cleaning up afterward. I was pleased with the outcome but after 2-3 weeks I noticed that some of the flowers that they had cut out were growing back. I contacted Hector again. He came out the same day to follow up with me. The very next day his crew was here again. They went up into all 6 of my trees to make sure that my concerns had been addressed to my satisfaction. It would have been great if the crew had not needed to come back out a second time, but if I wasn't already sold on HG Tree Service, then the way they responded when I brought something to their attention told me volumes about the company and the way it is managed. read more

This is not an actual company, but a scam being run by a company called HomeAdvisor to try and sell your info to other folks. Hector, the owner of H G Tree Service provides outstanding service. Needing 4 trees to be removed for our solar installation, Hector was the very first company to call me back and came out that afternoon to look at the job and provide me with a bid. His pricing was great, and his crew was able to start and complete the job by the exact date I needed. His team did an amazing job taking out several large trees, and the clean up was like they were never there. In addition, we needed a lot of dead wood removed from our existing oaks. After they finished, the trees looked much healthier and so much better visually! Since they did such a great job, we asked if they would be interested in splitting up the trees so we could use for firewood. I rented a splitter and two of his crew came out on a Saturday to split a massive amount of wood. The job was larger than we thought, so the crew volunteered to come back at 6:00 am the very next day, (Sunday) in order to finish the job. They were very sensitive to the noise factor, and did all the stacking and moving of the wood up until 8:00 am where they started to split the remaining wood. We needed some tree work done at our home, so we called about 4-8 businesses with about 3-4 not even returning the calls. So we had about 4 businesses come out and give us bids, all but HG took awhile to come out. HG was out next day or 2. HG gave us best bid that were insured, licensed and bonded. HG was able to do the work in a short wait time. Others were out 3-6 weeks. HG showed up and had about 5 workers, a chipper, all the tools and started around 8am or so. They took care of 5 -6 trees, trimmed an oleander bush, cut down a stump, one tree - about 20 ft tall had to be fully cut down and stump cut flush to ground. HG hauled all wood away and cleaned up all scraps. I was glad I went with them and they did great work. I would recommend. read more

We wanted all the trees and bushes removed from our backyard and larger trees on our neighbor's property trimmed because the branches hung over our backyard. H G Tree Service came over for a free estimate right away and were able to do the work days later. We needed a dangerously hanging large branch from an old oak tree near the road and power lines removed. We were going to have the tree removed. Hector said the tree was alive, it just needed the damaged branches removed. We also needed dead branches and low hanging branches on many oaks on our property trimmed and/or removed. Hectors team did a great job. They also ground down many old stumps that other tree services had left behind. They ground the stumps below ground level so now we can easily mow instead of using a weedeater. They did intentionally leave one bad branch. They said they could not remove it because there was a nest of 5 baby squirrels in the rotted out branch. Our daughter was overjoyed they saved the baby squirrels.
