Amazing doesn't even begin to describe Hugh! At 4:00pm on a Friday A forklift was driven into our commercial roll up door. I was panicking thinking I wouldn't be able to get it closed and we would have to figure out what to do through the weekend with a 1/2 open warehouse door that won't close. I had an unreliable electric gate at the entry of the driveway as well as a nonfunctional garage door opener at the house. I messaged Hugh the week before the new year and he replied that while they were on a short holiday break, he could schedule me first week of the year. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find someone who could do both gates and garages but Hugh said that wouldn't be a problem. True to his word, he scheduled a date/time that worked and did a fantastic job fixing both. Since I couldn't be there at the time of the repairs, he sent me photos of how to disconnect the gate in case of being snowed in, and showed me how to override the garage opener if there was a power outage. Hugh and his son Joe came to my house to fix my opener. After a lengthy inspection they decided to install a new receiver on my opener. They felt that this would solve my problem of the remote not working the motor. They felt that this would save me money rather than installing a new opener or reader board. The part was ordered and Daniels installed the new receiver , tested it and by the next day it stopped working. I called them and they came back out within 30 minutes and extended the receiver antenna, voila, it works like a champ now! Hue did an awesome job recently on installing my new garage door opener. Not only did he not pressure me into any up sales, but explained everything very clearly & gave me options which I like. We had a semi-unique situation. We have two two-car garages on either side of the house (both doors visible from the curb.) The one door had been giving us problems, and we thought it would need replacing. Due to the age and the Midwest manufacturer of the door, we were unable to find a local company that could match the other door. Several businesses suggested replacing both doors, obviously expensive. No business I contacted (which all had numerous 5-star reviews) said they could repair the door. When we contacted the manufacturer's rep in SoCal, they suggested H.J. Daniels. I still figured we would have to replace the door, but at least it would match. Huge installed a new garage door opener for us today without any problems. I told him our major concern was how the door shook and the loud noise it made while opening and closing. Huge installed new rollers and hinges and readjusted the hinges. He also lubricated all the parts. It opens and closes so easily and quiet now.
