I love H-mart and this location is my absolute favorite one. I always wanted to try the hot food and decided to get something for dinner. You can order from the kiosk or from the counter directly. There are so many options to choose from so it took us some time to figure out what we wanted to have. We ended up getting the Chicken Katsu and Ramen. The portion to price ratio is amazing. You get so much for your dollar. All though I enjoyed this plate, it didnt taste like any katsu ive ever had. The curry flavor was lack luster. The Ramen was delicious and also a large portion, which I loved. With your meal, you can also get free kimchi and pickled radish on the side. Love this H-mart where you can go grocery shopping and sit down for a hot delicious lunch. Shared a very hot vegetable tofu stew with white rice and a spicy pork bibimbap on a sizzling hot stone bowl. The bibimbap had a sunny side egg with lots of vegetables and the pork was tasty. This was my first time at this H Mart location, bur definitely wont be the last! We came for the bluefin tuna cutting, but got lunch at the food court beforehand. The food court actually exceeded my expectations, and the taste and value here are much better than the Great Neck location. I ordered the yukgaejang and was pleasantly surprised by the portion size; the bowl was massive, with enough for 2 meals or for sharing. At $18.99, pricing is pretty consistent with other restaurants, but the value was way better considering the portion. I ordered with regular spiciness and this was the perfect spice level for great flavor without all of the hurt that comes after. Toppings were plentiful though the beef was a bit dry. Banchan is self-serve - the kimchi is pretty tasty! My fiance ordered the udon, which also came in a massive bowl with hearty noodle portions. The dashi broth was super flavorful. Although we came for the tuna cutting, the event was a bit lackluster. Appreciate that they gave tastings of the tuna, but it definitely had a fishiness to it even though it was freshly cut. read more

Every thing you ever wanted in food and then some. Tons of things in a few different languages that you might or might not speak. People on site to give you samples of marinated steak that upon taste, we of course bought. The home run for us was a sale on Stone Crab. 1.99 a pound? You guessed it- we bought 5 and they even streamed them for us. Also lobster, live and fresher than fresh under two pounds-7.99 a pound. They steamed those for us as well. We continued to fill our basket with produce, fruits and meats of every kind and never looked back. In retrospect, maybe we shouldn't have come when we were starving. Oh well- The store is laid out pretty well with a produce department that really shines. Isles we clean and well organized. Cooking utensils and things you never knew you needed call out to you. This location is huge. It shares a parking lot with a few other businesses but they are definitely the biggest footprint. Plenty of parking though but it can get busy. Set up like most H Marts I've been too, but this location is very spacious. There's a bakery as soon as you walk in and it's seperate from the market. There's fresh food and a small food court as well close to the entrance. It's a Korean themed market but they do have stuff from a lot of Asian cultures as well as typical stuff found in all supermarkets. The fresh food section here, "side dishes" is amazing. Very much like most H Marts, they also have houseware stuff as well. I always love shopping H marts and this one is no different. read more

I and my husband were waiting on line for at least 5-10 mins, the cashier suddenly put out the sign "lane closed" without saying anything. I asked what does that mean and shouldn't you tell us lane will be closed when we come to the line then she gave us a nasty face telling us "you can stay but I'm going" without any explanation or asking us to move to another cashier. She even said "you can complaint. I don't care". Sounds like to me HMart won't do anything but I still want to make the complaint hoping HMart can be a great store I can shop. Maybe HMart don't care o lose 1 customer but this cashier definitely ruins HMart reputation. read more

Located in a once busier strip mall, H mart is now the main attraction. Their produce selection is great with at least ten types of mushrooms. Good selection of medium and short grain rice. Their fish balls for fish ball soup taste good (albeit not likely good for me) and frozen pre cooked eel is a great buy. The kim bap and pre cooked pancakes, kim chi, frozen dumplings, seaweed and fish cakes are my favorite part of the store (basically the pre made stuff for when I don't get the homemade stuff just right!). Different selections from your ordinary supermarket, and if you're a fan of Korean food like myself , this place is like heaven for everything Korean. You can source all the ingredients here to make your own kimchi, all the way down to the authentic clay pots they use (or even large glass jars , whichever is your fermenting style). They have different textures of red pepper flakes, different types of sea salt and the infamous mango ice cream (the one that practically looks like a small mango on a stick..ok I guess it's not THAT viral). Did I forget different grains of noodles along with different types ? They got oodles of dumplings and dumplings skins. Oh and I forgot about the produce , it's well curated and a wide selection (I like herbs and found that they sell FRESH bay leaves! (Makes your stocks and broths taste amazing) Staff is friendly and helpful and everything inside is organized and clean. There's a bakery inside along with 1-2 mini restaurants (wasn't paying attention to that ) . If you're into Asian food , Korean cuisine or just want a break from your usual "ShopRite" (they ain't bad either) , go to Hmart. read more

Very large location and has plenty of parking. I didn't feel it was packed either inside, making it a great shopping experience. What I love about Hmart, is the amount of tasting samples they provide. I get to try out new products without the heavy investment. I like the huge variety of marinated meats section. Lots of options to choose from - different cuts and price points. The marinated kalbi did get more expensive than the last time I got it, but for the convenience it was worth it. All the marinated meat options can be cooked on a grill or stovetop. It's no difference in the price of marinated or unmarinated meat, so go with the marinated! I would recommend the marinated LA galbi, pork Jowl, and bulgogi. They also have a lot of banchans available - I got the japchae which was good, and two types of kimchi - the radish cube kimchi [so delicious] and the radish leaf kimchi [good, but too sour. I ended up cooking kimchi chigae with it]. Our haul included loads of enoki mushrooms, seaweed snacks, Korean chips, squid kimbap, fresh shrimp, bags of ice. There's also a decent size food court area in the front. read more

I love these stores. It's honestly probably 5 stars but there's so many items I can't decipher at all. You've also got a bakery in here, hot food choices and there's a huge and wonderful fresh rice cake sections. We Americans are really missing out on wonderful fresh and healthy food choices not found in our typical American grocery store chains. You can spend hours in here exploring. I have been to this supermarket multiple times and I will say this much the store is so clean you could practically eat off the floor they are fully stocked they have a lot of variety and it's truly an amazing store in that aspect, however the multiple interactions I have had with employees who work here have not been satisfactory. I definitely find these people to be very very racist and there's no other way to put it. Unless you are a person that happens to be Asian or Caucasian or ANY other person under the Sun that is not a person of color it's not going to necessarily be a comfortable experience, and it will be a much higher percentage of you walking out of the store feeling some type of way. read more

Located in a shopping center in Jericho Long Island is this gem of a Korean supermarket. I moved out of Flushing, NY last year and I realized how spoiled I was all those years with the easy access to Chinese and Korean food. Although it can't replace the quantity and quality of selection available in Flushing, it does come close. This H-Mart is significantly larger than the ones I frequented in NYC. It has a food court, cafe and bakery on premises. Unfortunately, just like NYC, they charge 5 cents per bag. The overall feeling is that it is more spacious and cleaner, which carries a lot of weight during the COVID pandemic. TL/DR: if you are familiar with the H-Marts in NYC, think of this as a Super H-Mart. read more

Bought a tea powder from them. Upon drinking it once I had to vomit and there was something clearly wrong with the ingredients. Could be contamination during packaging. Also felt strange burning sensation in my stomach after consumption. I read the return policy and it stated unused food items can be returned within 7 days. I drove back to the store the next day and the customer service refused to even look at the item; stating that they do not accept opened items. It is not a refrigerated item. They consider open to be "used". Yes, the item was opened hence me trying to return it. But only one scoop was consumed; not even worth the gas price or time spent on driving back. As far as I can tell they are not honoring their own return policy as stated by the law. I will be looking deeper into this matter in terms of legality of it all. If a store is not honoring their own return policy or shirking basic laws of return that are common in New York, then how can a consumer trust what they eat from this place? Other food places around the area are very understanding and I spend thousands of dollars there each year; rarely if ever having to do a returrn. I think I will be going elsewhere from now on. Safety is very important in terms of what I am willing to put in my body. Consider this message every time you go to this store and reach for a food item. read more

It's always a joy shopping at H-Mart! This location is a bit of a ways from Suffolk, but well worth the visit instead of having to travel to Queens. Inside is always clean and spacious with plenty of variety to choose from. Packaged foods, produce, hot food, seafood, you name it, HMart probably has it. With that being said, sometimes I do wish it had even more variety. Like you may find yourself in the ramen aisle with plenty of options but still might not find the specific one you want. But will that stop me from shopping with H-Mart? Absolutely not! It's a great place to stroll around if you are looking to expand your culinary horizons! read more

I am home now, eating some of the pickled cucumber that I purchased at H Mart. The appetizer is tasty. I will definitely return to this Korean supermarket next week. Today was my first visit. To my surprise, there was fresh dragonfruit (see my photo). That is a fruit that Starbucks introduced me to when their Mango Dragonfruit Refresher debuted a few year ago. I adore dragonfruit, and H Mart is one of the few supermarkets that sells fresh ones. Although I am not a lover of broccoli, I bought the frozen broccoli dumplings because of their uniqueness. I usually see chicken and pork dumplings in the frozen food aisles of American grocery stores. There is a deli where shoppers can order fresh, hot Korean dishes, but they are expensive. Most of the dishes on the menu cost at least $15. I would rather go to a Korean BBQ, where I can dine in style. The supermarket is in a well-trafficked neighborhood. The parking lot here is the size of a football field. There is a computerized thermometer before the second front door to take the temperature of shoppers for Covid-19 reasons. Also, there are hand sanitizer bottles and plastic gloves. The customer service counter personnel were helpful to me. They told me where to find the kelp sea salt that I plan to season my fresh fish with. I definitely will be returning to H-Mart sometime this month. The store is definitely worth the trip. read more

One of the larger H Mart store in Long Island; similar in size to the Edison, NJ one. Difference is that the store has wider aisles which makes it look spacious and also reflects in the variety of Korean products being less extensive. The produce & seafood department is also a bit smaller in size too. The food court is located on one side of the store with an area sectioned off for dining. Food stands offered a wider variety of Korean food than Edison. Some stands use kiosk machine for ordering. While I was there I ordered the boneless fried chicken and the jjangjjangmyun from Yea's Kitchen. Both dishes were very tasty. There were also free kimchi and pickled soy sauce onion at the condiment station. The food court was very busy with take out orders and in-dining. I would love to go back to this market if it was closer but a 2 hr drive in traffic is too much. read more
