Literally made this account just to write about this experience. Nurse practitioner, Peter Tannous,…read moremay both sides of your pillow always be cold. I've visited this MinuteClinic several times for flu shots and TB tests, and while wait times can run longer than expected, I understand why. Between walk-ins, limited providers, and the unpredictable nature of healthcare, delays are sometimes unavoidable. This visit was no different. While waiting for my general medical exam, I noticed a steady stream of patients being checked in. At one point, an older couple at the front desk seemed to be having trouble navigating the walk-in process. Peter stepped out of his room repeatedly--at least five times--to help translate and explain the system to them. Despite his efforts, they seemed confused about how to proceed and would repeatedly approach the front whenever a name was called, even when it clearly wasn't theirs. By this point, I was about 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment, and the waiting room was getting busier. Peter calmly explained to the couple that he could only perform the specific TB test they wanted to sign up for, while they were requesting multiple services that the MinuteClinic doesn't even offer. Shortly after, he called my name. As I walked up, I overheard other patients expressing frustration about the wait, with some even canceling their appointments. Meanwhile, Peter just sighed and immediately returned to providing professional, attentive care. During my appointment, he was nothing but kind, focused, and respectful. I had forgotten some required forms for my exam, and he was incredibly understanding--allowing me to quickly run to my car to retrieve them. He also took the time to give me thoughtful advice about my future in nursing, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the earlier couple continued to interrupt, knocking on the door multiple times during my visit. Each time, Peter had to step away to explain that he was with a patient, while they grew increasingly frustrated that he couldn't drop everything to assist them immediately. He apologized to me every time he paused, though I didn't mind. I could clearly see the situation he was managing. That experience alone was a powerful reminder of what our healthcare system is. In the single hour I was there, it felt like a full shift's worth of challenges. Patients don't get the care they genuinely need, incompetent people don't do their research, and providers that ARE present become ill-equipped punching bags. It is a constant cycle. TLDR: The minute clinic here is a disaster. I agree with other reviews that it is understaffed and often overbooked (walk-ins are not as simple as they seem). Patients deserve timely, high-quality care, but it's also important to understand the system's limitations. IF YOU are standing there, signing up for a 10-minute TB test, as it was the only appointment available to make online, and then are SHOCKED when the only 1 NP working there tells you they cannot perform the 50-minute appointment you ACTUALLY wanted to have done in that 10-min slot, then YOU are the problem. Understaffed or not, it is the few entitled/ignorant people I see from time to time that cause the greatest disturbance in ANY healthcare clinic/hospital/pharmacy/you name it. Healthcare providers are humans too, who get overworked like the rest of us. They work under pressure, juggle multiple responsibilities, and still strive to give each patient the care they deserve. Before leaving a harsh review about "bad service," it's worth considering the bigger picture.

KAISER PERMANENTE @ LA MESA…read more Parking is available in the guest parking garage, and it wasn't busy at all, especially since my friend and I arrived around 7:00 AM on a Tuesday morning. She had a 7:30 AM appointment for bloodwork, so the timing worked out perfectly. We went through urgent care first and then headed upstairs, where there were only about two people ahead of us. Even so, the line moved quickly. The blood test required a $40 out-of-pocket copay. After checking in, we sat in the waiting room for about 20 minutes. There were quite a few people getting bloodwork done that morning, but everything was still very efficient. Once my friend was called in, the actual blood draw took maybe five minutes, it was super quick and smooth. The staff was extremely friendly and caring, and the quality of care felt excellent overall. Everyone we interacted with was kind and welcoming. The facility itself seemed recently renovated, and I really loved the views from the building. This area is definitely popular, but despite that, parking was easy and people were very courteous throughout the visit.

You can decline but something tells me it be is being taken regardless and I'm curious what is done with those images. It feels very big brother-ish and invasive. I don't want Kaiser capturing nor saving my image without my explicit permission. Service wise, this Kaiser isn't too bad. It isn't quite as busy as other more centrally locations which is a plus. They offer only specific services though. Parking isn't a problem. Friendly staff. You will see a lot of elderly people /visitors/patients at this location for some reason so be helpful and friendly to them and patient with them.

Waited until 9:10 am when he finally was free again and got paperwork to fill out. It's now 10am and I still haven't been seen for a physical that literally will take 5 min. I'm required to do this for work and I really wish they would use ANY OTHER facility. US Health Works is always understaffed and SLOW. They waste your time here mercilessly without apology and treat you like it's your fault they are so slow. I won't say the desk clerk is rude, he's just doing his job, but the overall atmosphere is not enjoyable, and no one should expect a 1-2 hour wait with an appointment made weeks in advance. My only solace, I've got an incense and there's a gym nearby. No pokestop though. Seeing the doctor: Once I actually went back to see the doctor things were much faster. I got called in at about 10:10 and the whole thing finished by 10:35. If they had called my appointment back on time I would have been done by 9:35. The doctor and nurse were friendly, fast, helpful and professional and that's why I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1. I think this place needs to create a system where people who make an appointment will actually be called back within 30 minutes of their appointment time Guaranteed. That would improve their service. I don't mind waiting 1-4 hours if I walk in, that's on me, but if I make an appointment with you weeks in advance and you don't get me in till over an hour later, that's on YOU. DEFINITELY never go without an appointment though.

Go to Google to get an idea of the problems, which are Loius, and the so called doctor (Olson). Think finger air quotes when you say doctor. Like, allegedly... Anyway, he was a complete ass. He even identified the WRONG BODY PART, after I came in for worker's comp injury. Dude, THAT'S YOUR WHOLE JOB IN THIS SCENARIO! Like, I'm not a doctor, I get it. But, I do know the difference between a TOENAIL AND A FOOT. He may need a refresher course and some heavy reinforcement from HR, because he has problems, big problems. I was waiting for him to beat his chest and yell, "Come at me bro!" He's super arrogant, hostile and aggressive. Not the sharpest tool in the shed either. I would recommend having someone else in the room, even a staff member because I felt very unsafe being alone with him. The guy has massive aggression and hostility issues, besides not knowing the difference between a TOENAIL AND FOOT for starters. Not only is the doctor AGGRESSIVE, he's also PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE. So fun! Not! So after he had a diva moment and walked out of the room after I repeatedly asked him (calmly) to lower his voice, he kept me waiting for my useless paperwork for like an hour. As I was waiting, Louis came over to me, way too close (almost touching me), staring down at me in the chair, reached to touch my shoulder. I said I need you to stop touching me right now. Wtf people? You guys are so out of line and then some. Get it together. Not to mention Louis cracked some asinine joke when I arrived about "calling a tow truck." I just stared blankly and let him know I didn't appreciate his inappropriate joke. Har har har So whatever your need, bypass this shit show. Have your employer literally send you anywhere else.

Dr Barbie lectured me on my vaccine choices for my child and didn't even update me on my child's overall well being or health. I love Kaiser and I love my babies primary dr. But the dr I saw today was extremely pushy when it came to getting all the vax done in one day and why I chose the vaccines I chose to give that day vs the others. First it's my child, I should never be shamed for choosing what vaccinations they receive, 2 I should never be lectured on my child dying because I'm being neglectful of other vaccines, 3 I shouldn't even be questioned on why I choose what I choose for MY child. Also I don't need to vax my child 5 vaccines in one day, I can and will always spread them out. Also the dr did not inform me and information like removing an infant car seat inserts, my child's overall health, weight, if I'm able to move my child to a crib, etc. it shows I'm a first time mom but Dr Barbie was so concerned about me getting all my child's vaccinations and informing me how she's seen "so many children hospitalized" and mortality rates that she never told me my child is healthy and doing great or anything about milestones. It was all about me neglecting to get every vaccine that day. Never want that dr again. I'll stick with my child's primary who respects my choices for my child and tells me what's next for age wise/growth and tells me what if my child is healthy.
