Our plumber showed up about 20 minutes after the appointed time, which isn't too bad these days because the extra COVID precautions. He wore a mask, gloves, booties and kept social distance. Since this was a swap out of a garbage disposal, he got right to work spreading out a drop cloth to keep the floor clean. After about 45 mins he called me over to check out the completed job. Fast, efficient, clean and friendly. Charged me the exact upfront pricing we had agreed to, no extras (they do charge a 2.5% fee for credit card transactions). i had to fix the pipes in my toilet because they were leaking. it took them about an hour just to come 2 miles then the unbelievable thing happened, this man said that he just got hired he just kept talking and talking. then finally when he started he "accidently" hit my pipe with a hammer and water went everywhere. the then fixed it and left all the water on the floor for me to clean up, then he charged me 290 dollars for that horrible job and he had the audacity to ask for a tip, i just flipped out and kicked him out the house [still payed by the way] read more

I asked for maintenance on my old water heater. They responded in a timely manner and gave a reasonable price. They flushed the heater and tried to replace the anode rod but it turned out the heater does not have one. Then they noticed some minor leaks in the connections and a cracked pipe in the drip pan. Luckily they had the materials in their truck and proceeded to the replacement immediately. They also took a tour of the house and suggested some future improvements. All this for a reasonable price with clear communication and options. read more

Our sink was clogged chronically, and the plumber our insurance sent us quoted a large amount to fix it requiring new vent holes be drilled. H-Town emergency plumber was able to fix it just by attacking the clog through the sink for a ¼ of the price. read more

I contacted H-Town after my sister in law received a couple of estimates to replace leaking water heater that I felt were too high. H-Town responded quickly and communicated through text messages effectively. They requested pictures that showed location of water heater so that they could give us an estimate that was realistic. The estimate they gave us was close to half the price of first plumber and still much less than the second. They scheduled appointment on Friday late afternoon for Monday morning. Arrived on time, completed the removal of leaking water heater, installed the new one, and had it heating water all in less than two hours. Chose H-Town based on great reviews and I was not disappointed. Had a toilet leaking from the base and they responded immediately, came the next day at exactly the day and time I asked for. Removed the toilet, replaced a broken wax ring, and reset and sealed the toilet, all in about 30 min. The plumber was named Bar and was friendly and extremely competent. This review is long over due! We contact H Town Plumbers a while back after a big plumbing company came out charged us close to $500 and didn't fix our slow drawing bathroom sink. These guys came out and for 1/4 of the price fixed our sink. Since then we've had them come out again for a shower not flowing hot water, they fixed it in a matter of 1-2 hours including a run to get additional parts needed, again charged a fantastic low price for excellent professional work. read more

I have been using Alex for various plumbing jobs on my twenty year old house for three years. There are very few trustworthy plumbers in the Houston area that rate five stars, but H-Town certainly deserves every one of them! He is honest, does what he says he is going to do, when he says he is going to do it, and always for a very fair price. The biggest job he has done for me was a dual water heater install on the third floor of my townhouse. I received multiple bids for this project, and of course the big plumbing companies quotes were outrageous. Alex came in at half the price and installed a much higher quality unit than the big guys were trying to sell me. It was a difficult job, in a very tight space, and the work was high quality. He does NOT cut corners to save a buck. Be patient when you call him. He usually answers his own phone, and is of course usually in the middle of a job. He WILL call you back, it may just take him a little while. He is in high demand for work, and his reviews reflect that. I can not give any higher recommendation for a plumber. He is the most honest and hard working plumber I have ever encountered in my thirty years of home ownership. P.S. Had a leaking bathtub and got an appointing within 16 h of requesting! Turns out the entire 40-year-old system behind the shower wall needed to be replaced because it was leaking behind the shower wall-- no BS, definitely needed it, the wood was damp, and it was clearly leaking. Alex was so professional and honest with what was going on. Paid $400 for the labor and $146 for a decent shower replacement, from the time he arrived to when it was fixed and out the door was 4 hrs. Very easy working with him, professional and payment was easy and secure. I never used these guys but I still think they deserve 5 stars! My shower drain was clothed for three days and I kept pouring chemicals down my drain and it did not work. I called H-Town desperately and they were kind and able to book me an appointment within an hour. Ironically the chemicals worked the very time the tech was on his way to my house and I had to call and cancel. I offered to pay cancellation fee but they were sweet and understanding even though I canceled last minute on them. For future plumbing needs, I will definitely call these guys with any issues. read more
