I've used a couple of different companies for our plumbing needs and decided to give H Town Plumbers a try. We had a leak under our kitchen sink that we didn't know about. I called H Town Plumbers last night (after 5pm since I tried to patch it up all day and was unsuccessful) and texted them a picture of the leak. I also added pictures of outdoor faucets to be replaced since they were corroded. I got a quote that night and booked an appointment for the next day since they had availability. Bar (our plumber) came to our house and replaced the pipe under the sink and also one of our outdoor faucets. He was very transparent with us - he said that we didn't need to change our pipes under the sink to PEX and he said that one of our outdoor faucets is much more complicated than the other and didn't suggest fixing it this time since it would be much more expensive. He did a great job, was honest, and gave us insight on future repairs to watch out for. Overall, I'm VERY happy with H Town Plumbers. I'm making them my go to plumbers from now on. I reached out to this company to request an estimate on Friday. Someone answered and requested that I take a picture and send it to her via text. I did that and she replied with a thank you and asked what happened. I responded, "I was turning it off after watering my plants but it wouldn't stop. I think the turning knob needs to be changed." I haven't heard back from her or anyone else from H-Town Emergency Plumber. When you have a business or working with clients, it's imperative to follow up even if there's no apparent resolve to the issue. This is disappointing to say the least. read more

What I liked is that he came out quickly (same day) and finished the job in less than 30 minutes. What I didn't like is that I was quoted $210 and the plumber tried to charge me $350 to repair a toilet. And I had already purchased the parts. So to sum it up. The service completed on the toilet was done efficiently and the area was cleaned up afterwards. The issue, is service or non-service performed to the dishwasher. Due to new renovations, we wanted the dishwasher evaluated to ensure it had been re-connected correctly. The only evaluation done to the dishwasher was looking under the sink at the plug and pushing a few buttons on the front to start the dishwasher. And for this.. we were charged "$70.00" which is ridiculously high for what was done. During the initial call, since I was asked if the dishwasher pulls out, this was our assumption of what would be done to confirm the connection. Unfortunately I'm left feeling like I got ripped off & taken advantage of. Still left feeling anxious & hoping my new kitchen floor doesn't get flooded. read more

Haven't used them but the reason I didn't choose them for toilet installation is that they don't dispose of the old toilet. They said they could break it down instead and leave it in the dumpster but Idk. I live in a complex and something so heavy in a small dumpster doesn't sound safe, even if it's in pieces. I asked for a fill valve and flapper change and that is what I received. The tech did identify that the seal between the tank and the toilet body was a bit worn but was OK that I did not change. All working as needed fast and efficient. I did get a quote for $175 for the same work but H-Town was available they showed up on time and got the job done in a very small time window so it was worth the extra money. $219 Four valve change and flapper as well as checking out the pressure. read more

I called these guys out last July for a sewage smell coming out of my shower drain after using the shower. I told the technician that came out what the issue was and he said it's most likely a clogged drain. I told him I doubt it since water never comes out the drain when using the shower even for extended periods of time. He pretty much said just trust me. He snaked the shower drain and called it a day. We used the shower later that night and the smell still came back. $240 literally down the drain. read more

Plumber was called to snake a slow moving drain on dual bathroom sinks. I was happy that he was available that day and arrived on time. He improved the flow somewhat, but he was only able to snake between the two sinks, not down the drain where the two sides meet. The result was that he actually made it worse by knocking loose clogging material that eventually washed down to the real clogged area and stopped the flow completely the next day. I called him to come back, but he said he wasn't available for a week, and indicated that he would have to cut into the wall to access the down pipe. So, I ended up calling a different company (Cooper Plumbing) . The new plumber arrived on time, had different equipment, and the skill to get the snake down the actual drain not just the cross pipe. The drain has been running excellent since then. If the htown guy had come back, I would have holes in my wall and more money than what the Cooper guy was able to do with a simple snake. Update: I received a full refund after contacting them and explaining the situation. They apologized and returned my entire payment. Accordingly, I increased my rating since they made it right in the end. read more

39 Five star reviews seemed a bit suspicious to me, but now I am #40! I had returned from a month away to a broken water main. Alex showed up in 45 minutes and started digging a 2 foot deep by 2 feet long hole through HARD clay. Alex said he needed to go home to have lunch with his wife but would be back. That was sweet, but he never left. He stayed and fixed the break in 3 hours, made sure the lines were clear of debris and everything was working. He left the site imperceptibly different from pre digging. He is a Skinny guy but solid muscle and since he had not had lunch I gave him a sandwich, which he graciously accepted. Excellent customer service even though I wasn't their customer. My dishwasher repairman broke the water supply & shut off valve under the sink at 7:30pm. I called H-Town Emergency Plumber hoping they could repair it & they could, I sent pics & they promptly replied with the cost; but I was outside of their coverage area. I'd cut the main water supply off but water was still trickling in and I didn't know what to do. So I called them back & asked for help. They told me what to do to stop the water from leaking and even gave me a few other tips for locating an affordable repair person. On the way out the door on a Tuesday morning, noticed water running down the side of our driveway. After confirming it was not a main line leak, but a house water line leak, I found this company on yelp and decided to go with them due to all the outstanding reviews. Spoke to Alex over the phone and even though my home was just about outside their service area he still sent someone to assess the leak. Alex was upfront about "leak find" costs and the plumber "Bar" was very clear and detailed on what was needed and provided the best options of service and costs before starting repair work. Although it was an expensive job (and it would've been around the same expense had i chosen someone else) i was overly pleased with the efficiency and professionalism of Bar and his work crew. And they were able to complete the job in 1 day right before we started getting multiple days of downpour rain. i had to fix the pipes in my toilet because they were leaking. it took them about an hour just to come 2 miles then the unbelievable thing happened, this man said that he just got hired he just kept talking and talking. then finally when he started he "accidently" hit my pipe with a hammer and water went everywhere. the then fixed it and left all the water on the floor for me to clean up, then he charged me 290 dollars for that horrible job and he had the audacity to ask for a tip, i just flipped out and kicked him out the house [still payed by the way] read more
