Without a doubt the best experience with a plumber I have ever had. I didn't get a quote because I needed to get a couple of emergencies taken care of. Den came and was extremely professional, polite, and knowledgeable. He succinctly answered every question I had about what was causing the issues and what I could reasonably do to prevent issues in the future. He gave me tips on products to buy from Home Depot for a couple bucks that could help me fix simple clogs in the future. He impressed me so much that I had him stay and do a few other simple plumbing jobs that I was putting off. After inspecting each of these he either fixed them or explained that they were caused by issues that would have to be remedied by replacing parts of the sink assembly. He only did work on what he knew he could fix. The final bill was significantly less expensive than I expected given the amount of work he put into the repairs and the effort made in explaining things to me. I was looking for someone to perform a flush on my tankless water heater, as I have been living in my house two years and have no idea what the past maintenance schedule was like for the water heater. WOW, best plumber ever! Alex is fast, efficient, effective, and a very knowledgeable plumber. He knows what he is doing, explains the problem and what needs to be done, and charges very reasonable price. After Alex helped me with repairing the faucet on my water main, he came back and helped me winterize/wrap up the pipe (and did perfect job with wrapping it pretty). He helped me flush my two AC units and clean out the drains. He took apart the drains, cleaned them, and put them back perfectly. Being from the Bay Area, I'm a huge believer in yelp so I took one look at these reviews and decided that I had to have H Town Emergency Plumbers fix the water line backup that periodically happens at my parents's house. I started contacting them the day after Christmas. Voicemail. Could someone please call me back? No word. But on Yelp it says that they reply within the hour! Nope. Oh, it must be the holidays! Let me give them a few more days. Ring ring, voicemail. Could someone call me back? No word. Wait a minute. They just got a new review on yelp the day after Christmas (my first call). No, it must be a review for work they had done earlier...But wait.... the review specifically talks about how the plumber went to their house the day after Christmas. Hmmmm, so they were doing work.... Oh, something must be wrong with their voicemail! Yelp says they have a 100% response rate within 10 minutes for an online quote. I just need to hit the button and they will respond to me. I request an online quote and leave my phone number to call back. After an hour I realized the 100% response rate in 10 minutes was totally bogus. Actually, it was about a month ago and I haven't heard back. Then I totally forgot about it until my dad reminded me a month later and so I called them again and guess what? That's right. No reply. But somehow they have had quite a few reviews for work done in the last month. I wonder how that happens when they don't ever call people back? read more

After the good experience described below, I called again to request someone to come out to look at our shower head, which would drip after we turned it off unless we positioned the handle in exactly the right spot. The owner asked me if the shower head kept dripping all day/all night. I said no. He said I didn't need a plumber; I just needed to clean the calcium off the shower head. He explained that water was trapped in the shower head, and that is why it dripped/leaked for 10 minutes after we turned the shower off. That was 2 weeks ago, and he was absolutely right! Soaked the shower head in vinegar and problem resolved! He could have easily charged me a trip charge to give me this advice. So impressed with the honesty/old fashioned here-to-help-you approach. Our technician -Bar- came immediately after we called. He found 2 leaks in our pipes when we thought we only had 1 and even took the time to explain and show us what caused the leaks. He took the time to tell us our options on fixing the leaks and what would be the price difference and even WHY the 2 options had different prices. They deserve a 5 star rating! We had a sink in the master bedroom that had very slow drainage. We tried all the drain cleaning liquids from the grocery store but nothing worked. I checked on YELP for a company with excellent ratings and read the reviews. H-Town had the best reviews so I decided to try them. I contacted them through YELP for a quote. They replied in minutes and said they could be at the house within 1-1/2 hrs. I agreed and waited for them. Our bathtub wouldn't drain after we filled it for Hurricane Harvey. After trying a few at home remedies, we finally decided to call the plumber. With 5/5 star reviews, we thought we would give H-Town plumbers a call. Alex came out first thing the next morning and quickly diagnosed the issue after hearing about what was happening. Apparently, it was due to bacteria overgrowth and not my hair that was clogging the drain (Take that, husband!). He snaked our tub and got the drain working again!!! Not only that, but he checked all the other drains in our master bathroom and snaked a sink that was flowing slowly as well - all for the same price he quoted me for the tub. Our water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. We assumed it would be a $600-700 job, since the water heater was about $500. Alex quoted almost double that and we did a little shopping. Due to the water heater being in the attic of our second floor home, the next person we called said that labor alone would be $500. The handle on our kitchen sink came off completely and we couldn't turn the water on or off. We were going to replace the faucet ourselves, but the previous owners had welded something underneath the sink and we couldn't get around it. We called our home warranty company, who assigned a different plumbing company to the problem. I was unable to contact them and the warranty company said it may take up to 4 days for an appointment. I realized that my situation wasn't an emergency, but it was pretty urgent as I needed to cook meals and wash dishes. I cancelled that plumber and prepared to have to wait until at least Monday because it was already mid afternoon on a Friday. I looked at different companies on Yelp, I decided to give H-Town Emergency a call. I got an immediate response and they could be at my house between 4 and 5 THAT AFTERNOON!
