My call was returned within 10 minutes and H-Town (Alex) was at our house 30 minutes later. The 5-star reviews are correct and I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically join other reviewers earned. Honest and efficient, Alex immediately assessed and provided a solution which will get us through until we deal with the larger and much more costlier issue. While the underlying issue requires work beyond Alex's scope, he is assisting us with options that will help keep the cost accessible. My husband, who's been a commercial woodworker for 30+ years, knows construction/plumbing/electrical-speak so he can smell overcharging a mile away. It takes a lot for us to call for assistance and it takes even more for him to be impressed by a service call. I inquired through Yelp after seeing so many great reviews and within minutes, they were messaging me saying they could stop by later in the day. My sink was draining very slowly and caused a funny smell. It turned out that my disposal also needed to be replaced. They came back the next day and replaced my disposal very quickly. H-Town responded on a Sunday and said they could schedule something the next day. The next day, I called and talked to the owner. He took some information, gave me a quote, and sent someone within the hour. The tech wore mask, gloves, booties in the house. He told me exactly what the problem was and changed the garbage disposal quite quickly and efficiently. He lay down a drop cloth, so there was no mess. I was impressed. The only downside was that they charge extra for using a credit card (I think he said 4.5%). I paid with a check. I'd definitely call H-Town again. read more

Very professional, outstanding service - I greatly appreciated the use of shoe covers every time he was in the residence. My kitchen sink was fixed in under an hour (using power tools which I definitely don't have myself and would cost a good deal to get) and he also gave my dog lots of love free of charge. So many plumbers I spoke to gave me the runaround (one company would not give me a quote, but told me that it would be $70 just to come to my house to give me a quote). And then I sent this company a request for quote through Yelp. They were cheaper (by $15) than my next lowest bid. I set an appointment on a Saturday. Had a leaking bathtub and got an appointing within 16 h of requesting! Turns out the entire 40-year-old system behind the shower wall needed to be replaced because it was leaking behind the shower wall-- no BS, definitely needed it, the wood was damp, and it was clearly leaking. Alex was so professional and honest with what was going on. Paid $400 for the labor and $146 for a decent shower replacement, from the time he arrived to when it was fixed and out the door was 4 hrs. Very easy working with him, professional and payment through Zelle was easy and secure. I reached out to H-Town to get a quote for a job, rather large job. There would be some tunneling needed under my house to put a new sewer line to build a bathroom where there wasn't one. They responded to my message pretty quick but the person that was initially messaging me didn't understand the scope of the job. I informed them it was ok to call me. The person that called, while friendly enough, also didn't understand what I was trying to explain when I said a new sewer line would be needed and tunneling under the house would be needed. Ok... so I told the guy to come out so he could understand. Guess that should have given me pause. There would be a charge for visit that would go towards the final bill if I hired them. Ok. Well when he finally got here and I showed him what I needed THEN the light went off in his head. He immediately seemed way over his head. Kept shaking his head and said he would need to contact someone OUTSIDE the company because HTown doesn't do the tunneling required. . He said he would get back to me with a quote. When I reached out again the following week, I got some excuse that his boss was on vacation. I don't know how many times I mentioned that a new sewer line would be needed, not replaced and tunneling would be needed. If you can't do the job, just say so. Alex is a real genius. Never has anyone had to do more problem solving than what he did to fix my over 60 year old bath tub faucets from leaking. I was prepared to buy new ones but did not really want to but he was incredibly able to fix them. This was not an easy repair but he persevered and they are still working today! read more

We had an emergency drain clog, a kitchen sink leak and a bathroom sink malfunction. Alexi came to fix it very promptly. He did an AMAZING job. This is the best plumbing service I received and I am in my 50s. Alexi went out of his way to tell us not to replace the whole sink, which we were ready to do. It was just a part costing less than $30/- and he showed us what it was on the internet. He would have made so much more money if he replaced the whole sink. This is the first time a plumber looked at my interest, rather than their pocket book. My original plumbing company would have charged me at least $600/- if not more for this job. I really hoped to have been able to work with H-Town Emergency Plumbing due to all the reviews, but unfortunately I never received a call or message back. I originally found them on Yelp and requested a quote. I messaged back and forth with them on Yelp and the quote I received was actually the lowest I found. I later found out that their phone system had been down and they deeply apologized. Unfortunately I had to get hot water fast so I already had someone else perform the job. It really is too bad because I wanted to work with them. Now that their phone system is back up and working, I would definitely give them another chance if I were to need a plumber. We have had Alex out twice for our plumbing needs. Our first time we had a large plumbing job that needed to be done. Alex looked at all that needed to be done and came back out the next day. We were not able to be in town when he did the work, we just figured we would check when we got. But with out even asking Alex took pictures of all the work and texted them to us.
