Great communication. The serviceman did a great job hooking up our washer and gas dryer. The only reason I gave 4 stars was that he didn't check to make sure the hot water line was connected to the hot water inlet on the washer. We washed several loads that needed cold water only before we realized the lines we crossed. We had to redo the washer connection, but it wasn't difficult. read more

We had a severe clog in our kitchen sink drain that went deep into the house. It was a few pounds meat that was accidentally placed into the garbage disposal. After I used an auger twice and industrial strenghth chemical (not going to mention brand), we still had a major clog. Nothing would go down AT ALL. Alex from H-Town Emergency Plumber contacted me and put me on the schedule for the next day. He sent out Dan, one of his employees. Dan went to work quickly and efficiently. I am one to watch and learn, and he did not have a problem with that. My call was returned within 10 minutes and H-Town (Alex) was at our house 30 minutes later. The 5-star reviews are correct and I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically join other reviewers earned. Honest and efficient, Alex immediately assessed and provided a solution which will get us through until we deal with the larger and much more costlier issue. While the underlying issue requires work beyond Alex's scope, he is assisting us with options that will help keep the cost accessible. My husband, who's been a commercial woodworker for 30+ years, knows construction/plumbing/electrical-speak so he can smell overcharging a mile away. It takes a lot for us to call for assistance and it takes even more for him to be impressed by a service call. He took some information, gave me a quote, and sent someone within the hour. The tech wore mask, gloves, booties in the house. He told me exactly what the problem was and changed the garbage disposal quite quickly and efficiently. He lay down a drop cloth, so there was no mess. I was impressed. Very professional, outstanding service - I greatly appreciated the use of shoe covers every time he was in the residence. My kitchen sink was fixed in under an hour (using power tools which I definitely don't have myself and would cost a good deal to get) and he also gave my dog lots of love free of charge. Turns out the entire 40-year-old system behind the shower wall needed to be replaced because it was leaking behind the shower wall-- no BS, definitely needed it, the wood was damp, and it was clearly leaking. Alex was so professional and honest with what was going on. Paid $400 for the labor and $146 for a decent shower replacement, from the time he arrived to when it was fixed and out the door was 4 hrs. I reached out to H-Town to get a quote for a job, rather large job. There would be some tunneling needed under my house to put a new sewer line to build a bathroom where there wasn't one. They responded to my message pretty quick but the person that was initially messaging me didn't understand the scope of the job. I informed them it was ok to call me. The person that called, while friendly enough, also didn't understand what I was trying to explain when I said a new sewer line would be needed and tunneling under the house would be needed. Ok... so I told the guy to come out so he could understand. Guess that should have given me pause. There would be a charge for visit that would go towards the final bill if I hired them. Ok. Well when he finally got here and I showed him what I needed THEN the light went off in his head. He immediately seemed way over his head. Kept shaking his head and said he would need to contact someone OUTSIDE the company because HTown doesn't do the tunneling required. . He said he would get back to me with a quote. When I reached out again the following week, I got some excuse that his boss was on vacation. I don't know how many times I mentioned that a new sewer line would be needed, not replaced and tunneling would be needed. If you can't do the job, just say so. This is the best plumbing service I received and I am in my 50s. Alexi went out of his way to tell us not to replace the whole sink, which we were ready to do.
