I flushed my 9-10 year old water heater yesterday as I do almost every year, but this time the pressure relief valve would not close. Unfortunately it did not have a union on the line so I would have had to cut the pipe and solder it back if I replaced the valve myself. As I was not that adventurous I called H Town Emergency Plumber yesterday at 4:50 pm and got an appointment for today between 8-10am. They showed up around 8:50am and gave me a quotes to replace the pressure relief valve as well as replacing the entire water heater. The installer was not pushy and was very informative. I decided it was not worth spending around $300 to fix the valve and have to replace the water heater in a few years. I was surprised when he offered to replace the water heater right away. By 12:30pm they were done (water heater installation). Now my new water heater has a 6 year parts & labor warranty, meets code (with the installation of the new pan and drainage line), has a union so I can replace the pressure relief valve myself in the future if needed, and has a new quarter turn knob on the cold water supply. I cannot say enough good things about this plumbers. I'm a new homeowner and I noticed my washing machine was backing up at the outtake and spilling water onto the ground. I have an older house and was convinced I was going to have to replace the pipes to allow enough water through. Alex, plumber came out and was SO patient in examining the leak and explaining the issue to me (a very non-technical person with a lot of plumbing questions). He was very courteous and was able to complete the work the same day - plumbing and drain cleaning. I really appreciated that Alex allowed me to fill and drain the washing machine tub a few times as he was packing his gear so I could make sure the problem was fixed. Even better? I think the plumber was Alex. Alex was on time and very professional. He was very thorough and efficient. He repaired my old faucet and replaced my old washer connections with new quarter turn valves. I have an older house where the water line for the fridge was coming off of the cold of the washer. I wasn't able to use the fridge water line unless the washing machine was connected. Without me asking him to do so, Alex took initiative and ran a separate water line from the pipe to the fridge - also a quarter turn. The quarter turns are the way to go! Alex also put quarter turn faucets on the broken toilet water line and under the kitchen sink for the new faucet. Everything was done better than I expected and it was definitely worth paying the money to get the job done by a professional. Alex was on time, polite and professional for the removal and water heater installation. He laid out tarp to protect the area, so except for the new water heater and improved safety. After he left, you would not have known he was there, even after he drilled through the exterior wall. Everything is functional and working perfectly. The old water heater was taken. When informed of an outside water leak emergency, H-Town Plumbers sent a plumber immediately. From the time of my call to their arrival the plumber was there in less than an hour and took 45 minutes for the entire job.. He had all the right equipment and most of the time was spent digging the hole and filling it back in. Again, very professional, and polite. This company is my plumber of choice. Scheduling the plumbing services was easy, and a next day appointment was made for me. Unfortunately my schedule changed and I called back after business hours, leaving a message that I needed to reschedule. Perhaps It was my luck, but I was blown away that they called me back that same evening to reschedule! H-Town Plumbers Cleaned out kitchen drain that was completely stopped up and fixed an issue with our water heater. Our kitchen sink literally erupted a few days ago when I ran the garbage disposal, then wouldn't drain. They came out and took the plumbing apart and the pipes were filled with gunk - apparently just build up that can occur over years. He took care of that, then checked our dishwasher which hadn't been cleaning well. We also had an issue this morning where our water heater tank overflow system wouldn't stop running, so he took a look at that and replaced the bad pvc that had just worn out. He also had some good maintenance tips and was just generally helpful. High marks for solving the problems while also being courteous, professional, and good natured. Ouch! A gentleman named Alex and his apprentice named Dmitry came to my home. They were neatly dressed, polite, and courteous . Alex diagnosed the problem, quoted me a price and promptly made the repair while teaching the young man. They took great care protecting my home so nothing would be damaged during the process. The google and Yelp reviews were 100% accurate. Always be sure to cross check google with Yelp because goole are FAKE. Alexei came to our house next morning and fixed a leaking pipe for $180, easy, kind, wore mask and booties in the house. Cleaned up, was pleasant, and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to call them again. I first went with Village plumbers who are a lying scam. That is because I did not cross check Google with Yelp! Google 5 but Yelp less than 4. Viillage p tried to charge us $790 plus $99 for some phony AC checkups, and gave us a wrong service ($270 AC flush). Not a word back from them to retrieve our lost $370. Throughout the process (pipe repair around 2 hours), the guys were professional, knowledgeable, and very considerate! I was very pleased with their approach to the spigot problem (pipe repair) and its location, as well as their advice and subsequent repair. It was definitely better to go through an interior wall rather than tear away the exterior brick (which could have only been repaired by a brick mason). They avoided any damage to the brick exterior; and, the drywall wall repair took Iess than 30 min. They even cleaned up the work area!
