I have used Heath at least once in the past since my pool maintenance guy recommended him, who happened to be his friend. I was a novice and went with him. He charges something like $180 diagnostics fee which goes toward the final cost if you use him. I don't have any issues with that but my problem is with Heath doing this business to solely make money. He has lost all desire to help his customers. I call upon him recently to give me a quote for a new filter. His rate was $400 higher than the next guy. When I mentioned that to him he lowered his price as well. I ended up finding a better solution to change the manifold and older grids with my regular pool maintenance guy which took care of the issue. When I mentioned that to Heath he was not happy, in fact he sounded sour that I some how wasted his time. What kind of business is going to succeed if they are not in it to help consumers? I know he has been around for a while but if he has lost his interest in helping his customers he should not be running a business. There are plenty of other pool professionals around now who will take his business. read more

This is a big negative -. H20 pools did a Pentair warranty service on a brand new Pentair Whisperflo pool pump that was defective from the start. Service did not remedy the problem. After leaving I discovered H20 installed a Superflo non-energy star discontinued pump on my new Whisperflo filter. I immediately sent a video with no response. Waited, waited until I called Pentair and described the issue. Who ordered this pump? If it was Pentair they tried to do the cheap resulting in another service call and pump install. Who ever ordered the pump the tech must have known it was the incorrect part being they are the warranty service person. Pentair, "we will send him back out", Please send a different tech out, one that has some basic business ethics, returns phone calls and keeps the customers in the loop. JH read more

Bought a new pool light from Pentair that went bad a week after installation. H2O Pro Pool was the authorized warranty repair contractor assigned by Pentair. While it took Pentair a while to ship the new replacement pool light, as soon as it arrived, I got a call from H2O pro saying they will be at my house Monday morning to replace the light. I was not at home during the time of the repair, but left my side gate open. This had to be the most efficient repair process ever. Heath came, replaced the pool light and left, my family at home didn't even notice he was there. Until I got home from work I didn't even know that he had stopped by. Not impressed at all! My home warranty service sent me these guys for a problem with my heater. Heath came out and discovered that a rodent has chewed something inside the heater and also built a nest in there... causing the burner to not fire. This (of course) is not covered in the warranty since it is a pest. They took my 60.00 for the service call and that's the last I heard from them. I'd like to get the problem fixed but I have called them 2 times and left messages but they won't return my calls. I left one voice mail and the 2nd time I spoke to a girl that said she'd look into it and get back to me. It's been almost a week and I went ahead and called the company that installed the heater instead. Guess I'll take my business to them! I am a licensed contractor who built my own custom home in chino hills with custom pool. My 20 plus year old Pentair/Purex MiniMax 400 heater would only reach 90/91F for the jacuzzi part. Heath came several times, it was a difficult problem to solve, but Heath is experienced and clever, and was able to make the top temperature return to 101F. I went through First American and they sent one contractor who was horrible to come look at my pool heater. I complained enough to First American that they sent a second request. I was very pleased when they select H2O because of their reviews. Let me say that the reviews are 100% accurate. Heath came out, took his time and to my avail my heater was working when he showed up. I explained to him what I have noticed but not much could be done. Its those times when you want to show an issue and by bad luck the darn thing worked for a little. Heath left and my instincts said to turn it back on and let the pool run for a little while. Sure enough the heater started acting up. I called Heath and told him that its not working and he returned immediately. He took his time and ran diagnostics. He determined that it was not fixable and recommended a new heater. I was very pleased with his service and his knowledge with the product. I now have a new heater and Heath also registered it for me since he is a preferred contractor to work on my new heater.
