It came with 8 small chopped in half an inch squares. I would've taken a picture BUT, of course I was starving. When I began to eat I even said, "Hey, where's the chicken?" I was devastated! Anyone experience this??? Should I have ordered a fancy salad? Is this where there putting my chicken? They gave me like 6 onion rings that were HUGE and a ton of croutons. Another Habit location down. this is one of my fav burger hang outs! Great hidden location off Vineyard right off the 101. Nice friendly people there to help you! They have the best char-burger with bacon and cheese you will ever taste. it was juicy and cooked to perfection. It's not fast, food It's not fancy but right on point every time. I used to Love Love Love The Habit. Since Yum Foods purchased, the products are sub-standard. They fail to provide top quality ingredients used to make salads, sandwiches, and shakes. The food does not taste the same, period. They receive an F in my book, I will never visit them again and no longer recommend The Habit. Yuck! The food was good , but the only issue I have is that the cashier/server was not helpful, nor did she have any idea what she was talking about I asked for what the chicken sandwich has in it, (I eat keto diet) She was confused when I asked again "what is in the chicken sandwich " : her words chicken, lettuce , buns. I'm going to give 3 stars because I generally do enjoy the habit however today was a big disappointment. I ordered the Santa Barbara Cobb salad which is usually always my go to. This was a DoorDash order so you know there was an up charge on the menu items as well as delivery fees. How disappointing it was to have received my salad @ work for lunch only to find out that they did not provide any dressing for my salad. Upon opening my salad I notice the avocado is brown (most likely it sat out for too long) my salad was not prepared as usual, one of the reasons I like this salad is because every ingredient in this salad is cut into small pieces, the chicken, tomato, egg , bacon and cheese crumbles, you get a little bit of everything in each bite. This salad looked like someone literally just threw all the ingredients in the bowl and said F#*$k it , the bacon pieces were whole, what happened to the bacon crumbles ? Needless to say here I am on my lunch eating a dry (dressing less) salad with whole bacon strips and brown avocado all because some incompetent employee can't execute his duties correctly. Employees were doing the best they could but overwhelmed. I went back after months of not going today and it was fine. Online order was done sooner than expected. Every time I come to this Habit location, I always get the best service. I'm greeted with a smile and sometimes even asked how my day is going. It's just nice to encounter kind & courteous people unexpectedly when I'm out and about. My orders are always double checked and if there is ever a mistake they always catch it before serving it to me. I love that even when I order salads from here, the lettuce is in great condition, not wilted and turning brown. My favorite meal to order is typically the veggie burger. I am not a vegetarian, but this burger is so darn good with grilled onions and added avocado. Definitely worth trying read more

I have social anxiety to big crowds it was a Saturday 6pm families dinner OMGODDESS! Was madness pick up orders online orders in restaurant orders and my call order didn't go through! I'm so sorry to the manager. They had to make two hamburgers Pattie's. And my food was already done. And it took them as long as it would a whole new order waiting 15 min my foods cold onion rings or fries get yucky when they cool the grease. I demanded a refund. I'm very hard of hearing I couldn't tell if he heard me. I'm so sorry! I'm diabetic and my sugars were low I get shaky and mean. He took care of everything he's a bad ass kept his cool with this Karen. It gets delays I cut it to close to eat before low blood sugar. You guys should be happy for your manager. I WOULD NOT recommend going to this particular establishment. If you do, and are expecting decent service, then you're better off going across the courtyard to the other place. This review is not only based on this visit but 2 previous visits as well. They always say it happens in 3s. Today I ordered lunch for my family. Mostly salads. I asked for dressing on the side, since it would be soggy by the time I got home. I waited patiently for my order and waited for my pager to go off. When my order was ready, I asked the employee if the dressing and teriyaki sauce was in the bag. She said yes it's at the bottom. I asked her again if she is sure. She again said yes. Since there was a long line of people and I was blocking the pickup counter, I trusted that everything was there I got home and started to divide the order. NO DRESSING FOR THE SALADS. I called their customer service number and they said I can come back and pickup the dressing if I like. This has happened 3 times and you would think I would have learned a lesson. I will not be going to this establishment any longer I am a local small business owner and always support the community. I haven't had a Habit burger in almost 7 years, and up to now, this burger's charbroiled lusciousness still haunted me when I lived in Hawaii. It was strange that this place wasn't available there, and I was so glad to have been able to finally sit down and grab a burger from here. The burgers are charbroiled to perfection, my favorite is the Santa Barbara Char wrapped in lettuce. The lettuce wrap holds the burger well just like a burger bun, except no carbs, score one for no carbs! However, the burger got a bit messy due to the fact the sauce was able to slip between the lettuce. I want to say if you're either in Ventura or Oxnard, you need to grab a Habit Burger besides the In N out one. Reason for it is that there are huge differences between a very good grilled burger and a good old fashioned charbroiled one. The atmosphere for the Habit is a pretty lovely one just like In N Out, so don't expect a quiet dine in place when you eat here. The staff are helpful and friendly, and always offer you honest opinions on regards to the burgers and shakes. Overall this place gets a 4.5 rating, the only downside is that it can get a little crowded! read more
