One of recent fast food burgers I enjoy, and I've come here a couple times now, quite impressed with the new menus they added. I got bacon BBQ burger, which is great. Crispy bacon, smoky meat, char bun, sweet bbq sauce. Their Oreo shake is thick and creamy. The half and half fires (regular potato and onion rings) are great! Came here a week ago to claim my birthday char burger. It's a good fast food place to get different types of delicious burgers and sandwiches. The Santa Barbara was pretty good along with the free birthday charburger. One order of the SB was pretty filling enough. Honestly, I don't find the taste to be as unique from a lot of other places, but it's still pretty good if you're around the area. Service was quick, but it wasn't busy to begin with. We've been here many times, but it's been a while so I dropped by and they had a great deal on the app a grilled chicken club sandwich free with a two-dollar purchase which I ordered french fries. The grilled chicken sandwich came with bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and sauce. The bread is grilled with butter.. a really good sandwich. This is my son's favorite place for burger and his fave onion rings... my son has autism and G6PD so there's always accommodations for his food and my son loves coming back here to eat his fave onion rings... I don't know why he doesn't like other place to buy onion rings and burger , he's been really very picky because of his ASD and we keep coming back to this place because also the customer service is also wonderful especially Hudson( staff) he is very accommodating and very nice smile always! They're my favorite under-$10 burger. Ai, I called them (Artificial Indifference). But... what a difference 24-hours makes! It's National Hamburger Day and my wife wanted HabitBurgers with fries, Tempura Green Beans, and Onion Rings. Food is very tasty as always. But a whole different crew. Smiles. Thank you. You're welcome. Etc. I always say, "the crew takes on the personality of the management." If he is unfriendly, they, too, act unfriendly. As a customer of your establishment where we can take our business anywhere else in the city, employees at this Habit location better customer service. The food here is great, no complaints about that. However, the staff often seems to overlook important details. On a recent visit, a new employee appeared annoyed and only charged me for one burger when I had clearly asked for two. When I tried to clarify, the interaction became awkward, and I ended up just ordering onion rings instead, since the experience ruined my appetite. Thankfully, the manager was much more helpful and friendly. I'll still come back because the food is worth it, but the cashiers really need better training--both in taking accurate orders and in customer service. Clean and relaxing restaurant with spacious table's. I came here for the $6 grown up meal. Totally worth it!!! Nice fresh burger with fluffy fries and a drink all for $6. It definitely tasted a lot better dining in than taking it to go. I love all the drink options and they have 2 specialty drinks (Agua Fresca & some fancy Lemonade). I was at this location yesterday and I would have to say the food was good but there were a few issues that I wasn't happy about. I ordered 2 combos and only recieved and charged for one. I went to get ice for my drink only to discover they didn't have any and the soda machine was not working either. When I said something they told me that all they had to drink was either tea or lemonade which I didn't want either. Usually have a much better experience at The Habit... there were so many super annoying issues for this visit, it was honestly a very unpleasant experience. I was so annoyed I couldn't even enjoy my food once I got it. An Asian guy named Jason was at the register when I went to order. I had a birthday coupon so I figured it would be easier to order with a person, and the app won't let me modify my burger the way I want anyway. I told him I had a coupon for a burger and wanted to use that, he said "Do you want cheese on that?"... I said "I want a veggie burger" because I knew he was already ringing me in a regular beef burger. He said "It doesn't work on that"... now this is where the annoyance begins, because I had already read the fine print and I knew it worked for a veggie burger... I said "Yes it does.." and showed him where it said that. Why the f would he tell me it didn't work for that, if he didn't even know? He just assumed I was an idiot. Then I remembered it comes on a wheat bun (disgusting) and told him I wanted a white bun, he looked super confused and said they don't have that.... I'm sorry, what??? OF COURSE YOU DO. The annoyance is just escalating at this point... why is this so complicated? Is this guy brand new? I said a sesame bun would be fine? We settled on a brioche bun, fine with me. Then I tell him I only want lettuce, cheese, tomato, and thousand island on my burger... and he says "Do you still want the cucumbers and sweet mustard?".... umm, what? I just told you exactly what I want on it, why would you ask me that? I also got green bean fries, and I made sure to say "with ranch" because the app asks you if you want ranch or not. Then I sit down, and like two minutes later Jason tells me (from behind the counter, while I'm still seated)... that they don't have brioche, and offers me sourdough bread, and I said no and reiterated I wanted a white bun. Now the guy at the grill is getting involved in the conversation, and saying they don't have that... and they're all looking at each other confused, like I'm insane... for asking for a damn white bun. The grill guy lifts up a WHITE BUN... and asks if this "plain bun" is okay..... UMM YES BRO, that's what I asked for. It's a friggin white bun. How do you work at a burger place and not even know what a white bun is? Now I'm kinda pissed honestly after all this nonsense. I've worked in a restaurant..... the fact that they didn't already know they were out of a brioche bun, before I ordered.... is super stupid. It's a sign of poor management. Jason should have been informed it wasn't available, he should have had that information before he got near a register. Anyway, then my food is ready and there is no ranch on the tray, so I have to ask for it.... at this point I honestly did not ever want to have to speak to these guys again... I get the ranch, and notice there's LEAF LETTUCE on the burger. Apparently that's what it comes with, I didn't know. My bad. But honestly, criminal to put leaf lettuce on a burger. It's disgusting. It turns to slime when you put it on a hot burger patty. So I ask for a side of shredded lettuce. They literally give me a side of lettuce in a plastic salad bowl, why?? Like the most plastic they could have possibly used... why not put it in a paper tray? So illogical. I sit down to eat and reassemble my burger. Food was cooked well, it was hot and fresh. There was too much salt on the green beans though. Overall wish I had avoided this place, even with the coupon it was not worth the hassle. I also wish I hadn't tipped them to essentially ruin my meal. Definitely going to try to avoid this location. The Eastland West Covina one is such a completely different experience. I enjoy Habit Burger and have recommended it to many others. However, during the most recent visit, there was a safety issue. There was a toothpick buried in the middle of the fries and I would have bitten down on the toothpick had my hand not gotten pricked and I looked down to see it. (Had the toothpick been stuck on top of the fries, I would've seen it easily but instead, it was mixed into the batch in the middle.) In addition, there was a fry near each end of the toothpick as shown in the photo - not sure if this was deliberate? I did bring it up to Habit and they said they would look into it.
