South Korean woman who took my order at the counter was friendly but focused; she took my order then repeated it back to me. Line cook was friendly as well. This place looks like it's been around since the late 70s or early 80s... can seriously benefit from a remodel but it is totally functional as-is... and dining area was clean My food was done in about five minutes... to-go order. I ordered a double cheeseburger with grilled onions and a side of onion rings. So yes, the food was piping hot! By the time I got home, though, the burger had sweated-out and looked a little sad, and it also had a slightly off-putting grill odor that didn't thankfully did not transfer to the burger's taste. The burger was prepared with two beef patties, two slices of cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, all on a toasted bun. Next time I will order a single cheeseburger because the double was just too big. All that mattered to me was that the burger was tasty! I got an entire bag of onion rings... no skimping here! Didn't have the best experience at Jim's today! I will start with my compliments, the food came out very quickly and they have really fresh meat patties for their burgers. The establishment is clean, and properly stocked with condiments and napkins for your dining needs. The fries were good and well salted. The onion rings have a really heavy batter and can be kinda greasy but back a good crunch and soft bite of the onion inside. Overall, if I was on a time crunch and wanted a consistent and well-made burger I would visit here. However, the cashier/man at the counter (who I'm assuming is the owner) that takes your order upon arrival is very dismissive. He doesn't make eye contact with you while you're ordering and does not actively listen to your order at all. He messed up my order. When I requested onion rings, he gave me fries. Instead of honoring my original request and apologizing for the mistake, he mumbled, "I didn't hear that" and had my boyfriend pay the difference of 2 dollars for the onion rings. Hospitality and kindness can go a long way in situations like this and he has missed the mark. I am more than happy to support small community based businesses when they hold themselves to a good standard and appreciate the patronage they receive, especially when we were nothing but cordial. the customer service is absolutely horrible. first time coming here today so i asked the old lady what'd she recommended and she just said Burger? whatever. then when the rest of my family was trying to ask what was on this salad and so on she started yelling at us? like i'm sorry your menu just says chief salad instead of explain what's in it. she clearly doesn't know her own menu also the way she reacts to phone calls is something, while your ordering she'll completely forget about you when the phone rings and starts to roll her eyes for you to hurry up with your order. I've lived nearby for decades, but this was my first visit to Jim's Burgers. I ordered a cheeseburger, and my husband ordered a hamburger. We shared French fries. Our burgers were HUGE!! I could barely open my mouth big enough to take a bite! The burger was good, but the fries were a bit greasy. It's a little dated inside, but there's plenty of room to sit and lots of arcade games. Went in for breakfast burritos. The staff was really friendly. They have a couple old school arcade games to play while you wait. We ordered 5 burritos and the wait wasn't bad for that amount of food. The burritos are huge and definitely priced fair. We got two bacon, two sausage, and a meat lovers. They were all hot, fresh, and filling. The sausage burrito had FULL size sausages, not ground or little chunks, but delicious pieces. The salsa it comes with was very flavorful. Local spot. Always hits the spot. I usually call in the order and get there in 10 min to pick up. Staff is always super friendly. A lot of comfort food and delicious. My usual go to order is a hamburger special. Steak sandwich. Avocado bacon cheeseburger. And always some onion rings. Everything is always so good and flavorful. Small place to eat inside. But there are seats. Parking lot is usually packed on weekends because of busy shopping center but definitely our go to spot for hamburger cravings. read more

I've had Jim's before but not in this area, so I decided to try it out to see how it compares to the other locations. I ordered the Hamburger Combo ($6.89) which comes with the burger, fries, and a drink. It's a solid place to get burgers and a lot of food. They really give you a lot of fries so you get really full from the meal. We came in later in at night, maybe about an hour before closing, but everything was still made to order, so our fries were piping hot, and the burgers were freshly made. It's a decent price for what you're getting. It's obviously not going to be the best tasting burger out there but it's cheap and it gets the job done in getting you full. The double cheeseburger ($7.19+tax) was really good. I was only able to eat half. The avocado BLT ($7.49+tax) had a whole a$$ avocado. It was nothing special other than that. The sandwich was a good size. The fish and shrimp plate (14.49+tax) was ok. It comes with 2 breaded fish, 3 breaded shrimp, 4 onion rings, a piece of garlic toast, french fries (it makes the plate look full), and a super small side of cole slaw. I though it was another sauce cup. I thought the fish and shrimp plate was a little pricey but things are pretty expensive everywhere. The owner seemed rude but he must have been tired af. They were 45 mins. from closing time. The place is spacious. They also have 3 or 4 arcade games with multiple games on them. This place reminds me of an old cafe. My family has been going here for over 10 years and have always been friendly to the owners. I ordered a chili dog, fries , two club sandwich combos and a patty for the dog for $42.00. When we got the food I was missing my fries and after telling them they said we didn't charge you for them. They did not give me a receipt but looking at their tape I saw two additional charges they would not explain. They were going to charge me another $4.25 for fries when I said forget it, I'm done. So after over 10 years of loyalty we are treated this way. I will not go again and would advise people to be careful since they add misc charges and do not give receipts. read more
