Visiting my hometown and decided to stop by at this new burger grill. Our burgers didn't taste like fast food. It was as if I was eating at a sports bar! The meat was delicious and thick. The fries were also good. We made our order using the iPads upfront which gave us a contactless service. Even though we never really interacted with employees, I always saw a smile when they serviced another customer. Soft music is playing and the place is definitely kept clean. Don't waste your money! The burgers are expensive and lower quality than McDonalds. The Customer service is basically non-existent When I got my meal home and bit into the burger it didn't have any bacon on it ( as I had specifically ordered) but it was RAW! I've eaten there three times and have always enjoyed the food. I'm finally taking the time to write a review. Tonight I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread. I considered ordering it with no bread- a lettuce wrap instead. There were other bread choices as well. I'm happy with my choice of ciabatta bread. The warm chicken was extremely tender and juicy. No sauce was needed due to the mayo, avocado, juicy tomato & hot grilled onions. I love the strawberry limeade drink, too. My husband ordered the Santa Barbara and once again, it was hot and juicy. He could only eat half by the time he finished his French fries. The fries were hot, not greasy & not salty. They were firm & crisp, not limp or undercooked. The atmosphere was pleasant again- nice lighting, coastal pictures, & neutral music. Workers were friendly. Bathroom was clean. We will definitely return. read more

Seems like so many new burger places are just variations on a theme. I've never been in a Habit before so went into try the one in Sumter. I've got the kind of selections you'd expect and will customize them anyway you want. They offer sweet potato fries as a side, of which I'm a big fan. Even better, you can get a half-and-half side with fries, sweet potato price or onion rings. Their onion rings are nice and crispy, not over battered, and you can still taste the sweetness of the onions. The burgers (I've been there three times in 10 days now) have all been moist with a little bit of charring. All the ingredients seem fresh making for a delightful burger experience. Best of all - if you ask them they will put blue cheese crumbles on a cheeseburger in place of the American cheese and add bacon for a really good bacon blue cheese burger. I come to Sumter a couple times a year to visit family, and this is now easily my favorite SC burger place. Still haven't seen any sign of them in Kansas City. read more

I tried the Santa Barbara Char. The patties was overcooked to the point where they were tiny and hard. Tiny as in the two patties were slightly overlapping to cover the size of the bread.... It was just O-K to me. I ordered basically two combos one with fries and one with onion rings, both with their crafted drinks and it was almost $30. To me a bit pricey for the taste of things. My burger had waaay too much mayo and it was just messy. Overall, just o-k. I would recommend giving them a try at least once. read more

Check your receipt. They have a habit of charging individually for each item on their menu combos. So it comes out about 2 dollars or so more before taxes. Food is not bad, still not as good as 5 Guys but thought it give it a try since it is new to Sumter. Manager very rude and not sure if they just didn't know how to use the register or this is a way of generating false revenue for their franchise. Just check you receipt and don't bother with manager. The cheese burger was juicy and tender.The lettuce & tomatoes were fresh.The sweet potatoes were excellent however large would be a better choice. The strawberry lime juice was amazing. Overall an excellent change considering they do offer a wide variety of burgers and vegan options. read more

This fast food itself was decent compared to some burger spots. The taste was definitely above mediocre considering it is a fast food joint. Small portions in terms of the size of burger and fries but once you do eat, it surprisingly fills you up so I'll give it that. Although I think price was a little hefty but that's the decision you make when you decide to eat out, spent overall 30 dollars for 2 meals. Definitely a nice addition to Sumter food choices and different to what is being built around the same old food chains. The staff was super friendly and have no complaints with them. The food is way better than five guys. The service was really nice for our first time and loved the place even more due to how nice the workers where. The place is nice on the inside and depending on when you go is how loud the place is. You do have to wait a little while for your food though.
