The people there are very friendly and knowledgeable, they also recently opened a tool library where you can rent the tools at a membership rate: $20 for a month, $50 for 3 months, $150 for annual, with a discount of 10% for students, seniors, and the elderly. Chelsea, from Big Rock Fabrications assured us that they had not attempted delivery. Delivery was attempted, just as our cameras had recorded. A couple of weeks later, the same truck and Company arrived with our rock. Transport claimed it had not tried to deliver the first time, Big Rock Fabrications told us it had not attempted to deliver as well. The cameras don't lie. However, we were happy to have our rock at hand ,we had a project to get started and we were excited to get started turning our back yard into a piece of paradise on the mainland. Unfortunately, we realized that multiple pallets of rock had arrived cracked and unusable. Once we notified Chelsea at Big Rock Fabrications of the situation with the broken rock that is when the ghosting began. We would call and receive the standard, "we are working on it". Then the phone calls began to be ignored. No information, no call back and no guidance and even hang ups. Basically they were great until they weren't. It is a shame that a business treats their customers this way. We were very patient and dealt with the situation very professionally and with aloha. Our contractor called, the subcontractor called, the homeowners called, all to no avail. They even started to screen the calls. They went out of their way to ignore us. It would have been easier to let us know it could take a while and explain the process. Our family from Hawaii wanted to help us and speak to Big Rock Fabrications. They would assure them that they were looking into it and we should hear from them real soon. Fast forward... we still do not have our rock. We have an unfinished project. We were not ever offered a solution. This is a big lesson for us, the homeowner. We had not updated our home in thirty years. We should have checked the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Had we done so we would have learned that Big Rock Fabrications is not BBB Accredited. That is their choice , but a company that is BBB Accredited builds trust with their customers, advertises honestly, tells the truth, is transparent, honors their promises, are responsive, safeguards privacy, and embody integrity. Big Rock Fabrications did not embody any of these characteristics through our process with them. @HGTV, Renovation Aloha, kamohaiandtristyn, do you really want to advertise and support a company like this? Kamohai and Tristan, each of your homes is so graciously blessed and honored by your Kapuna. We have been so dishonored and mistreated by Big Rock Fabrications, absolutely no aloha spirit. We do not recommend Big Rock Fabrications because if you spend your hard earned money as we did, you will be disappointed.
