Allison knew & agreed that my daughter could go on a trip to visit her birth mother in Arizona. The first time she acted out while on her visit, I called Allison and explained what happened. Instead of discussing it with me further, she decided to call child services and have them go do a welfare check at the birth mother's house. The CPS in AZ found nothing wrong & left their home. The following day, AZ CPS contacted Oregon DHS and were told that I wasn't allowed to make the decision to allow my kiddo to see her birth mother & requested that AZ remove her & fly her back to Oregon where she was put into a foster home. That was complete nonsense as my adoption paperwork clearly stated that it was MY choice but AZ wouldn't listen to me or accept proof of this. The can of worms that Allison opened put my family & I through hell for a year! Due to all of this, I was very distraught & asked Allison why CPS s called. She lied to my face multiple times saying she did not make that call & didn't know how or why CPS would've gotten called. It wasn't until after DHS gained custody of my daughter & they requested Allison's notes from their counseling sessions that I learned that she WAS indeed the person who made the report. Her notes had so many inaccuracies that were used against us that I didn't even know existed until they came out in court. For instance, she claimed that her and my daughter were having a counseling session on our front porch (which was true) but then stated that we'd locked our child out of the house. That wasn't true, our daughter just wasn't strong enough to open the front door, ever! That is only one example of something she wrote in her notes that was inaccurate but the notes were FULL of inaccuracies & every one of them was used against us. Allison never questioned us about these things, she just wrote them in her notes which were eventually used to take our daughter away from us for a year. The damage she caused to my family was extreme! Be CAREFUL about involving this woman into your lives, you may truly regret it! She's not as sweet and caring as she seems, protect your family and don't give her a chance to make a huge mistake & damage your family like she did mine!!!

If the homeless and low income have a car and can afford gas i suppose they can drive outside of town and pick up some food bank from the food bank. Seriously what is wrong with Port Angeles, is it all just a cash grab under the guise of caring for those less fortunate?? Photo of Port Angeles food bank attatched, miles outside of town and no bus service anywhere near the actual business and you have to walk about a mile uphill to catch the bus on the main highway if you can. Disabled and elderly poor cant do that. Serves the most able bodied not quite actually really poor people who have cars in the area, smh.

I've really enjoyed working out here so far - it's clean with tons of equipment and super welcoming staff. Pro Tip: most SoCal memberships include nationwide access so you can keep up your routine when traveling (at no extra cost)!! All you have to do is sign their local waiver specific to their location. Just tell them you're nationwide and they can find you in the system. There are three locations in this area and you can use them all - this one, the one in the next town over (Sequim - and it has a pool!), and the one further north in Port Townsend. But it's my understanding you have to sign the waiver at each one on your first visit. They don't have a pool here at the PA location but they have a giant basketball court, tons of machines, free weights, treadmills, and any other equipment you could possibly need. Even at its busiest I never have issues with space or having to wait for gear. I've been using their treadmills - all of which seem very modern, smooth, and easy to operate. Their dumbbells and kettlebells are also mostly newish and in excellent condition. My only complaint is their weighted medicine balls - they're poor quality and in terrible shape - everything else has been great. They even have a dedicated and well padded stretching area. There are numerous cleaning stations scattered around and everyone seems to be great about cleaning the equipment when they're done. This YMCA is centrally located in town - very easy to get to and find with plenty of parking and clean bathrooms as well. They offer lots of classes too. Staff have all been wonderful and I've loved being able to keep up with my regimen and not loose my gains just bc I'm traveling.

Such beautiful, well loved creatures and Jon and Ashley work so incredibly hard to make sure they're all safe and comfortable with enough space to thrive. You can really tell they've put their heart and soul into this place and the wolves. If you get the chance to check them out, do it!! It's so worth it. I can forever say I have hugged and played with wolves now. Gets me great street cred haha.
