What happened here? What once used to be a creative thrift store concept that benefitted Habitat for Humanity, has now turned into a junk yard full of rejected, some high-end, but badly damaged merchandise. What made me even more shocked were the lofty prices that made no sense whatsoever. Grossly damaged furniture, like $600 for 4 ugly, scarred, nondescript black chairs? You have to be kidding! I wouldn't even consider most of what I saw, because it was tasteless. We left quickly. It only motivated me even more to hit real thrift stores, chains and mom & pop, and pour through online marketplace sites. Their parking lot was empty. No surprise. These guys need a reality check. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the clothes section is limited and some things do see highly priced. There was one clothes. But otherwise, this is my favorite location. They have great stuff. When I went, they had lots Our Place Always Pans and plastic containers to organize your water bottles (3 packages for $5 - each package holds 6 bottles). read more

They don't have any old or vintage items like the one in Redlands use to have. Most of the goods don't even seem used, they just seem like rejects from Lowe's. When we got there to drop off our donations, no one really came to assist or ask if we needed help. We were the ones who actually had to get someone's attention. Sure we got there too early. But the attitude was not appreciated. We are the ones donating they should at least give us a little time. She told us just leave it there & pointed to an area. This place is supposed to be for the community to help people purchase items for a fair price. I've been coming to this place often and on for years and the pricing in here is ridiculous. They have things that have been sitting on their shelves for years and they still have it overpriced. When I say everything in here is overpriced their furniture, their little trinkets, that old paint and other filler stuff for cracks they need to throw away. It's the same stuff that's been sitting on that shelf. I'm pretty sure it's all dried out but again yeah it's definitely overpriced. They remind me of Goodwill. I was told by a friend about Habitat for Humanity, never heard about it until then. I have tried this location a couple times with no luck. Thought I would give it another try and while I was in there this last time Dennis asked if I needed any help and was extremely helpful and told me how the store works and that I need to come in more often for certain things that I'm looking for or interested in, he has always been helpful and goes out of his way. No one else had ever approached me or asked if I needed any help but he did so that was very nice and appreciated. Never knew that every Saturday they have a sale. I'm a big supporter of Habitat. I always donate to fundraisers and enjoy finding treasures at their stores. But this location is more and more in the dumps. They don't value the donations given to them and will let furniture and other goods go to waste outside then lower their prices. Greedy and ungrateful. It's a slap in the face to the persons who donate and a disservice to the community they are suppose to be fundraising for and building The management of this store should be held accountable. Unless its worth the time to write a review I normally don't but this deserves one. This H4H is probably the worst one I have ever been to. It demonstrates that goodwill can be turned into a weapon. The product is bountiful (donations, that is), the space, is ginormous, which also reminds you how generous the public is. For H4H to turn this into a money making scheme, with prices off the planet, truly ridiculous for what it is. 110.00 for a used lamp likely worth 35.00, a headboard that was used, broken and ugly 100.00, needed to go to the dump, chairs 125, and used that even at wayfair are 65.00. I drove from Palm Springs hoping they had a door, and they did FOR 600!!!! Come one that's the same price as Home Deport. Plus HD is new. Get off your high horse Habitat, this is after for humanity not movie stars. read more

In-store , the sign posting : 1 bag for $1, 20 bags for $10 . I bought 61 bags , they still charged me a single bag price for 1 bag . They should told me will charge me extra a bag price or just bought 60 bags. I don't think $0.50 will kill me , only think they are hungry , Not only that , I want to buy a carpet no one can help me. Lots of home items at low prices, the same items are 2 to 3 times higher in the store.

When you find exactly what you are looking for this place is amazing. Sometimes I don't have any luck. Sometimes I find something I didn't know I needed. And sometimes I luck out. I recently saw 2 rugs that I wanted. I knew they were a deal but I have a cheap streak. I signed up for the notifications of sales and 2 weeks later rugs were 50% off. I was there when they opened the store and both the rugs were waiting for me. What was comical was watching me roll the cart through the store and then the struggle to load them in my car. But it was so worth it. The folks are always nice and helpful when I have a question. read more

This is a gorgeous venue graciously allowing the Riverside Society of Parliamentarians to meet in one of their conference rooms once monthly. It is neat, clean and well kept with plenty of parking. The bathrooms were also well kept and pristine. Having volunteered with Habitat for Humanity a handful of times over the last 20 years, I can say without equivocation that their goals and vision add value to our surrounding community. The corporate posture this location demonstrates in allowing our nonprofit to meet in their space also adds value and supports the community. This Habitat store was bigger than some I've been to and has lots of new items, highly organized and some deep discounted furniture, if condition is "As Is". Lots of parking on side. Overall, perfect for those remodeling with sufficient funding. It was overpriced for me, but still a good cause. It's a great store if you're in search of materials but if your looking to donate they don't always accept donations if they are full. They also don't update their information online or on their automated message which states their donation hours. When you press the extension to speak so someone they don't pick up. I made a 30 min drive since I couldn't get a hold of anyone just to find out they weren't accepting donations. Not sure how they are selling anything at all, they overprice everything. I had to leave this place and just drove 20min away to the one in Colton that was back to good prices. They had shattered up mirror dressers, scratched wood dressers (drawers not properly working and for $800), small end tables made of cheap material and damaged running at $100+, and the list just goes on and on. I'd say this place is hit or miss. It's really great when they have their store wide sales, otherwise the prices are a bit odd. The goods are mostly donated from Restoration Hardware and Walmart. I picked up an awesome netted globular chandelier during a sale that is priced online for $400 for $13. It's brand new too! These type of deals are rare but I am one of the few who enjoys doing my shopping in industrial warehouses anyhow. read more

Not impressed, thats all I can say. A lot of digging to do, lots of hardware and little things that only God knows what they are. Im a Do It YourSelfer, so i'm always looking for things to get my little home projects done but I just didn't feel home here. I guess if you are in the area, check it out but don't just drive to come here. There are a lot of doors, lots of cabinets and a few new dining sets, even a couple of racks with random cloths and even a gown or a custom. Weird! This was my first visit to a ReStore. I was impressed at the amount of stuff they had. Everything was sorted and neat. Easy to get around and see everything. The lady at the front was very helpful and answered my many questions. There was a bunch of tile, flooring, many more items outside. They had a few specials going on which made it even easier to shop there. Bought a new keurig for $40 which is the same price or even better then offer up. Will be going back. read more

The place is changing. Pricier than other locations. I hope the extra they are charging is to give those hard workers in the store at least medical and vacation and not paying high salaries to the people behind the glass windows. All the items are donated to them. There is one lady behind a glass window who comes and barks at the workers then goes back behind the glassed office. High turnover of half the floor staff. Item goes on sale they remove the discounted sticker to a higher price and put on this weeks sale promotion. Actually saw an item tripled in price then put on sale. Select customers have the better items held in the back work area and not to the general public for purchase. I love habitat for humanity !!! If there's one in a nearby city- I'll make it a family trip ! This one however is worth missing . Not much going on here . Walked in - a bunch of junk was scattered everywhere and I found myself underwhelmed . Hopefully with time they will pay more attention to staging the goodies they acquire. read more

I used to love going to the restore 10-12 years ago. Now with pricing and service this is not even worth going to anymore. I understand the concept I know why I used to shop there because they used to have great deals I got a half pallet of 4 x 6 tiles for $50 if I were to go in there now it would probably be $500 with their pricing. Habitat, you really need to find a way of getting more customers in by lowering prices because your stuff seems to be sitting. I haven't been there for over a year and there were still some of the same products I saw a year ago in there. Understand that you are not a high-end store. I can find the same things cheaper online and not have to drive anywhere to get them. I really doubt I'll be going back there ever again because the help have not been anything but rude pill for the last four years of me off and on going. 10 years ago they were nice friendly helpful degree do surprised if you talk to them not anymore or just plain rude. This is what happened on my visit today. No alterations and no exaggerations. I walk into the store. It's like a warehouse with tall racks similar to those of Costco's. My boyfriend and I venture to the furniture section, where we find such great buys. We purchased a gray desk for $5, a black and white desk for $10, and two chairs at $3 each. We go to the register to pay and ask the girl at the front desk if we can borrow their cart. She says no. So, we go to the car, take apart one of the desks and are able to fit it into the car. Yay! We try to take apart the second desk, but the screws are old and broken. My boyfriend tells me he'll deal with it. I go back in to pass time. My boyfriend pushes the cart from the Restore all the way to our apartment, about a mile away. This takes him nearly an hour to go there and back. While he does so, I am waiting patiently at the Restore, as some symbolical insurance that we're not stealing the cart. My boyfriend comes back with the cart, and we leave. I forget my phone, so I go back in and grab it. An employee for the Restore approaches me and proceeds to chastise me (as if I'm five) for taking the cart. I'm about to tell him that I did not take the cart, and that my boyfriend did so without my permission when, lo and behold, my boyfriend walks in. The guy shifts the conversation onto my boyfriend, in unreasonably loud volume. He proceeds to tell him that the cashier told him he can't use the cart. He says, and I quote, "If you asked, we could have made accommodations." This is a flat out lie. We did, in fact, ask the cashier, and no such accommodations were made. This is when I began to lose respect for this guy. Because I didn't want to escalate the situation, I kept my mouth shut. I will NEVER give this location my business again. It's a shame, because it's such a great cause. Try other locations. The staff is nicer, the merchandise is more organized and you don't have to deal with the Riverside heat. The only positive is how nice the volunteers were (the people in the red/orange vests that read "Volunteer"). The staff are cranky people, who lack the customer service skills to get a job elsewhere. read more
