I went there today with my sister-in-law. She lives in California and thought the prices were great. The window dressing fabrics looked beautiful. We saw some appliances that looked almost new. I saw a lot of nice looking rugs, old piano and grandfather clock. What I liked was the selection of lighting, door handles, faucet knobs, etc. Compared to Home Depot and Lowes, you would be saving a lot. We saw some wood flooring around $1 SF. Appliances are tested before they are on the floor. There is a 30 day warranty if you need to return an item. If you sign up on their email list, you get to take off another 20%. Like anything else, first come first served. Different items arrive daily. I also like that purchases and donations go back to helping the community. I disagree with the other reviewers. Give them a try.

Very satisfied with my furniture purchase. Best deals in town for owners and renters to furnish their homes. I will definitely be back if I need more renovations.

Well stocked. Very unique antique collection that am surely planning to furnish my house with things from all your stores regardless of how far apart they are I will drive around to make a complete nest and stylish house.

Have you ever watched the show Sanford and Son? Well, this restore reminds me of that show just a little more organized. I was happy when I found out that there was a restore closer to where I live. However, it was short lived. The restore is on a road less traveled. You wouldn't know what was there unless you were really looking for it. When we walked in the store we were not greeted so just started browsing. Directly to the left of the entrance was a cramped corner filled to the brim with furniture - antique, new and used. The prices were a bit high for a restore. I expected some great deals. When you walk past the register you see more furniture and tons of appliances. Walk to the right of the store you get your lighting and ceiling fans. In the back you will find your doors, shutters, tile, countertops, blinds, carpet, paint, etc. It was overwhelming how you needed to be extra careful around this stuff. We had our seven year old son with us. We had to keep a careful eye on him. The aisles are cramped and packed up to the ceiling it seems like. The store is staffed by volunteers from the Habitat for Humanity and they are very helpful. However, the donations that they get in this part of town are not as nice as the ones they get in Garland. The guy helping us out told us that the one in Garland actually buys all of their merchandise at 75% off and then resells it to the public. They don't do that at this location. All their stuff is truly donated. It shows. We didn't buy anything but two bottles of water.

Mostly light fixtures and limited building supplies. The pickings were slim, but we did pick up some cheap microfiber dishrags.

Wish I could leave a more positive review. A 12' sign dictating what they WON'T take overshadows the act of giving. I mean really?

Last time I was in here was about 15 years ago. I really saw almost nothing worth buying. However, everyone has different needs so, someone's a customer. Finally,I will admit,a few things out of the " jewelry" case in front were purchased for an art project.

However, my experience today trying to…read moredonate a very nice flat screen new model TV, a very nice commercial quality, paper, shredder, and several hundred dollars of other brand new goods shows why Goodwill industries and others like them are increasingly alienating donors. I understand that charities have space limitations, and that sometimes there are certain items they can't handle. That's why smart donors. Look at the website before they waste their time driving over to that charity to make a donation of gently use business or personal goods. I checked before I came to confirm that Goodwill would accept television, printer, business equipment, and other items that I plan to donate. You can understand then, why I was irritated when the worker arrived after I waited for five minutes for her to come told me while standing in front of the sign that says they take televisions they don't accept TVs. When I told her never mind, I would take my thing somewhere else, she told me she'd be happy to take the other things. Like most contributors, it's a concession to take the time to donate things. I'm not interested in driving all over town wasting gas in time to find which of the contributions listed on their website that Goodwill or another charity doesn't feel like accepting today. I bring good things and I spend good valuable time to deliver them to the location. If I'm gonna have this type of trouble, I'm gonna join the million of other Americans, so no longer contribute. I'll just simply set out the trash and somebody drives by and pick it up. If not, I'll let the garbage have it. I won't drive around, begging charity that asks for donations to accept them when I bring them. Not surprisingly, I won't be coming back, but I will be sharing this review with other people so that they can consider whether they want to waste their support on an organization that may or may not value their donations, time, and other contributions.
