The food has been consistently good, especially after they reopened. I have been there in person and for curbside pick-up. It is true that many of the people dining have not worn masks (I haven't figured out how to eat through a mask anyway) but the staff has them on every time, have set the dining room up for social distancing, and are keeping the restaurant very clean. Meanwhile, I have great respect for the management and servers for working very hard and serving a delicious product every time. I would give 0 stars, but I am required to give at least one. I was really looking forward to this place when I heard about it. The building itself looks very nice and you can tell they spent a lot of money on how the restaurant looks. But don't be fooled on how it looks on the outside. The food and overall experience was only a disappointment. The chips and salsa were okay,I agree with another reviewer that the salsa was more like tomato sauce than salsa. They also did not even have tequila even though it was advertised. The food was very basic, but the prices aren't. I would say it's way over-priced for what you get. I went there for my 65 Birthday with my family. I asked the server if they would buy me a drink for the occasion. He said I could have all the water I can drink. Kinda pushed the entire visit down a couple of notches. The food was much improved from previous visits. The server killed the celebrity mood, but provided good service. We were there for lunch today for the first time. Atmosphere and service are wonderful. The restaurant's decor is beautiful. The food, however, is just as bland as the other Mexican restaurants in B-N. The salsa had no spice whatsoever and the meat in all three dishes we ordered (beef fajitas, beef nachos, burrito) was similarly bland. Perhaps we just have really high expectations (originally from Texas) but we were really looking forward to a Mexican restaurant in the area that offers food with flavor and spice. Unfortunately, Hacienda de Leon does not fit the bill. read more

We decided to wait a few weeks to go - to let the opening weeks' crowds die down and let them work out the kinks. Unfortunately, even going at 5:30pm, it was pretty crowded and the hostesses seemed disorganized. When it was finally time for us to sit, they gave us a choice of either a two-seater at the bar or a 4-seater in the dining room. We didn't want to take up more space than needed, so we chose the bar. I'm not sure this was such a great decision given other reviews here. The service we received was terrible. We only saw our waitress a couple times. When my wife asked for a lime wedge to season her fajitas, the waitress brought lemons. Unfortunately, we didn't see her again until she brought the bill. I never received a refill on water, and they seemed to be short staffed. The food seemed to be slightly higher quality than other Mexican food places in town. We arrived at 5:30 on a Sunday evening and it took 30 minutes before we had drinks and our order taken. 45 minutes later we still did not have food even after being promised twice that our food was on the way. My order was wrong when they brought it to the table. I tried to send it back and I was told if they remade it I would have to pay extra for the cheese which was already on the dish anyway. The manager came over rudely and was laughing at me. I will not eat at this place again. read more

Absolutely disgusting. I went there twice both times my cheese dip came cold. The service was so nice but took forever. The food was alright but it was very cold in some places and barely warm in others. Both times I never got a refill. The place was completely packed and we still got a table within 5 minutes. Our server Paola was fantastic. We didn't have to wait long for our food for longer than 10 minutes even though it was so busy. My boyfriend got the skirt steak and I got the quesadilla special, both were very good. I have been at least four times including opening night and the food is always good and service is pretty quick. My only suggestion is that the portion control should be reviewed. The last time I went only 1 person was able to eat their entire meal. Being as they were out of town guests the food went to waste. read more

Just had lunch. There was a 35 minute wait to be seated. Quick drink and food order process. But food took over an hour to get. We asked for check when they brought the food. Took 30 minutes to get the check and another 20 in line to pay. Food was good but a 2 1/2 hour lunch committment is a bit much. Ill be back after they figure out their workflow. read more

Went there for dinner Saturday night and it looked busy but we got right in. Wait staff brought chips & salsa right away along with drinks. We ordered food & waiter, Eduardo was excellent, attentive and personal. Food arrived was fresh, hot and as we had ordered. Eduardo provided great service and we enjoyed our meal. Probems with host staff, wait staff, and food quality that are basic requirements of a good restaurant experience Went on a date tonight. When we got there we were told it would be a 20 minute wait; we waited 40 minutes. The hostess didn't seem confident in estimating wait times. She was telling everyone 20 minute wait for the first 20 minutes we were there. Moving onto the food, I ordered the Enchaladas Susias and date ordered their spicy fajitas. Both of our dishes lacked any kind of seasoning (even bask salt and peppper); the spicy fajitas weren't even spicy at all I asked that instead of black beans in the Enchaladas to have rice, and I got no rice;but I was starving and ate unseasoned chicken on a tortilla for $10. The tortillas with the fajitas were half oversteamed and the other half inedible because they were hard and brittle. The shrimp in the fajitas were overcooked and rubbery as well. Waiter never came to check and see how our food was, never asked if we wanted water in addition to our drinks. The only saving grace was the bartender making the drinks made really good monster margaritas and the churros with ice cream dessert being good. But dinner was a bust! Not going back. Not worth it since the meals are on average $10 to start a plate and go up from there. read more
