The trail was nice, shady and everyone riding their bikes on the trail were very friendly and would wait for you to pass. We rode Moonshine and Dude and they were both great. The horses know the way and follow your guide, so it's great for beginners. There's also parking in site, and our guide took photos for us while we were on the trail. We're definitely going to return. :)

The trail was beautiful: shady sections, little creeks to cross, gentle up-and-down hills, and tons of lush green scenery all around. We passed several bikers and hikers, and every single one was super respectful of the horses and politely gave us the right of way. The horses themselves were awesome. calm and steady, with just the right amount of playful sass to keep it interesting. We left smiling and already talking about coming back. We definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing yet exciting trail ride. Whether you're a first-timer or experienced rider, you'll love it!

Onto the actual adventure, our guide was Ebony, and she was incredible, literally incredible. She was super informative right from the very beginning and super knowledgeable as well about the trail and just everything that we were seeing. It was fun to learn a little bit about her and a lot about just the nature preserve and all the little fun facts that we probably wouldn't have known otherwise. I hope that we can come back sometime soon. We were there to celebrate my dad's birthday and he had an amazing time as well. Our experience @ Will Mar has been outstanding. It truly is a happy place for riders & horses. The stalls are large & generously padded. Horses are fed three times per day; supplements are given daily per owners' instructions. Stalls are cleaned seven days per week. Horses are turned out for several hours six days per week. The layout of the facility is quite perfect with easy access to the round pen, turnouts, wash area & tack rooms. Rainy weather? Hand walking mostly possible as walkways are covered with gravel. The footing in the arena is top notch. Training with Amy Miller is superb. She has a special communication gift not only with equines but also with riders. Each lesson is immensely valuable & brings out the best in every horse-rider team. If you & your horse/s are looking for boarding only, consider WMEC. To this day, I have always thought how lucky and thankful I was to get such great instruction so I can learn how to do what I was crazy about... HORSES! ( And, even crazier than boys! Which is crazy too!) But I have fond memories of my first ride on my first horse along Serrano creek. He had the opportunity of giving the most thrilling adrenalin rush with all he's got on a hell ride bent for the length of the creek , in and out of the trail to creek til we got at the end..he stopped, spun around on 1 hoof and booked all the way back to the barn! I got off of him and said to myself..."OMG, this is AMAZING!" It was scarry, extremely challenging, but I was HOOKED! Let me add this was a hackney trotter horse my dad bought off a guy at the harness races at the Orange Co. Fair..an EX-harness racer!! He didn't get to run much in his career (..lolol, Me laughing at my lil funny I just now said and thought, "how come I didn't think about that before?" Duh!!), but he sure did that first day we saddled up, at the stables where I took my first riding lessons, so I could run like the wind down the creekside of Serrano on the lil hackney pony named Rascal and to this day still, I am still riding horses, thanks to the instructors at this place! Good enough to instruct and prepare a 7 yr old girl for the first thrill of her life, that feeling of flying thru the air with the power of motion and the freedom below you and that moment where you fall in love with riding.
