If you're looking for lower prices on produce and you live in the Hackensack/Hasbrouck Heights/Lodi area, then Lucky Farm is where you need to shop. I was at Pathmark last week and spent $10 on celery, cucumbers and tomatoes. I purchased the same items at Lucky Farms and spent $3.38. Hello? There's a ton of parking all around the market. Lucky Farms also sells fresh cuts of meat, deli meat, various snack items, milk, eggs, fresh cut flowers and bread. It's a traditional grocery store so don't expect to find health & beauty products or cleaning supplies here. There are only 2 checkout stands so the wait can be inconvenient, but you're usually out of there within 10 minutes anyway. Who can't spare 10 minutes? You can't afford not to shop here... read more

I no longer visit this Fish Market. They changed management/owners and the owner (although friendly) doesn't appreciate his staff & continuously raises prices by a lot. He will sit back while there's a line and not help his staff (usually 1 employee). Therefore, there's a high turnover because they're over worked and overwhelmed which results in your fish not being cleaned (scaled) well. His wife is nice too but she's awful at cleaning fish. read more

Came to lucky farm based on recommendation and everything looks great! It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, by routes 17, 46 and 80. They have fresh produce to boxed to canned stuff. Prices are reasonable they even have fresh seafood no meat. Will be back read more

Even though its changed names and possibly management, same problem. I just came home after buying strawberries and other fruit and veggies. I had to throw out about half of both containers of strawberries because they were rotten. I could tell that while I was at the store cause obviously I would have purchased them. Also, field greens where so slimy some of THAT had to be thrown out. I work way to hard to just give my money to a place who doesnt care about customer satisfaction. I understand that their prices are lower than a "traditional " supermarket, but that doesnt mean that the quality should be bad. read more

I always go to this market before heading to Pathmark around the corner. The produce is very reasonable and always fresh. You cant beat their prices on dried fruit and nuts (about half the price of big grocery chains) The fish market its attached to is also a weekly stop for me. Lump crab meat is about $5 less per pound and they always have a wonderful selection of fresh fish. read more

This was my first time there. Pretty good selection of produce at really good prices. I wasn't a fan of the fish counter, where I got overpriced fish filets that smelled a touch fishy and had tons of bones. The filets cooked the first day were just okay... but the second day - just 24 hours after purchase - was apparently way too late! Rancid! These reviews make me think that the people writing them have never been to a real farmers market. Not worth the trip. It's actually kinda gross when you first walk in. Lots of card board scattered around on the floor, tiles missing, random puddles from melting ice, not to mention the weird smell. Yes, the prices were low and they did have a huge selection compared to a supermarket but they should charge a little more and hire a better crew. I was not expecting anything fancy but this place has bad news written all over it. Dont even get me started on the meat counter or the girl at the register. My favorite fruit and veggie market in the area. Great prices here. I like that they also have a small selection of nuts and International foods. There is a fish market here, but I have never made any purchases from them. This place is no where near as crowded as the Route 17 Farmers Market, which is a good thing!. read more

Awesome farmers market that offers great discounts on most fruits and vegetables. They also have a large selection of fresh fish that they get daily. The best part about this place is the amazing selection of flowers that they have and at really cheap prices. When I get my GGE (Greatest Girlfriend ever) flowers, this is where I go. The only drawback to this place is that very few people speak English and their is often a long wait to check thing out. Otherwise, its an awesome place. read more

Flower shop cashier was very unprofessional and disrespectful. I have been buying flowers there for years but i will never return. Waited in front of him for over a minute as he did not acknowledge me and was looking at his phone. Then when I asked him for something it was an inconvenience for him. Never again! read more

Fruits and veggies are fresh and not too highly priced. I mainly go for the flowers. Good quality and inexpensive.

I am from Bucks County PA and it kills me that we call NJ the Garden State. I am usually disappointed with grocery store produce but overall I find the quality of Lucky Farms to be really good. I will go out of my way and avoid super markets to shop here. I buy fruits, vegetables, eggs, milk, cheese, hummus, and various things like bread and pasta as well. read more

Lucky Farm recently re-opened, with new owners, as new and improved...and boy, is it! The fruits and vegetables, the fresh fish and deli...are unbelievable. The prices can't be beat and I can't afford NOT to shop there on a weekly basis, but the real reason I am here is to praise their honesty and integrity. I lost my wallet last this past Thursday. Bummer! $300.00, identification and irreplaceable photos. After backtracking my busy day, I actually thought I lost it a few towns away and was lucky to have a few bucks in my pocket to pay for the pomegranates and avocados I'd brought up to the counter. Went home, broken hearted...spent hours on Friday, replacing my license and ATM card and moped around till Sunday, when my phone rang and a man from Lucky Farm said they had my wallet. He returned it to me with a smile....and it was untouched, with nothing missing or out of place. He made my day and restored my faith in the common good of people. I am indebted to Lucky Farm and will shop there for my fruits, fish, and veggies, forever more. While we all know why it's important to patronize neighborhood businesses, it's really nice to know you are partronizing honest and decent people. Plenty of parking, clean, and a friendly, helpful staff doesn't hurt it, either! You owe yourself a visit to Lucky Farm on Summit Avenue, right off Route 17 North, in Hackensack. read more
