I have stayed at 5 different apartment complexes at this point and especially in the Dallas area this complex has been extremely unique and fantasti. The staff here make the apartment with any issue I have faced getting quick responses and immediate help through text, email, or call through several issues.The maintenance crew is quick and works efficiently to help with all issues and the stay here has been very peaceful with all issues sorted quickly and helpfully. I have recommended this apartment to all looking when the opportunity arises and I have gotten a friend to live here who has enjoyed it as well. The staff and their efforts make this apartment a wonderful rental space and it is a very quite relaxing place that I appreciate well. Thank you for your time reading to this point.

Only giving a one star for the location…read more I just finished a 2 year lease with Turnberry Isle the end of November this year. I would never recommend this apartment complex unless you want to live with constant leaks, mold and repair problems every month. I had placed 17 repair work orders in 2 years. That doesn't take into account the times I had to call the emergency line because my hot water wasn't working on the weekends. It wasn't considered an " emergency" to them so I had to heat up bowls of water in the microwave and empty them into my daughter's infant bath tub so she could have a bath. My water heater went out 3x while I lived there. After that first time of heating water in bowls to give my daughter a bath, I did not take no for an answer. I didn't pay rent to have to take cold showers or microwave water so my child could have a bath. My toilet would clog and overflow about once a week for a year. I put multiple work orders in for it. Their last solution was to leave a note on my door that stated " Do not flush toilet paper down the toilet". Don't flush toilet paper?! Does that make any sense? I had to go down to the office and complain and finally they installed a new toilet after a year. They had to have the maintenance supervisor come down first and take a look at it. Magically, with a new toilet, I never had that issue again. They will never want to spend money on anything that goes wrong in your apartment. It will always be a patch up job or some excuse that they will call someone to come out. LEAKS! I constantly had leaks in my apartment. When it rained, rain would leak into my bedroom window. They had 3 different people come out to fix it and it never was completely fixed. I would still have to clean up water from my window and on my rug due to the rain coming in. Due to all the leaks, I had mold in my apartment. I told the office staff that I wasn't feeling good when I was at home and if someone could come see if there's mold. All they did was flash a flash light into the vents. That to them determined there was no mold. I started buying air filters for the A/C unit once a month. That didn't help. When I would leave my apartment I felt better but once I came home it started again. I now live elsewhere and never have this issue. I had mold starting to form in my bedroom window because of the leaks. While I was at work, they came in and just painted over it. Multiple times, I would wake up to use the bathroom and my feet would be in a puddle of water. It happened again the month I was moving out. They had 5 people in my apartment trying to figure it out, they had no clue where the water was coming from. FINALLY, they hired an actual plumber! He knew the cause of the issue but he never came back to fix it. I am attaching pictures of of the bathroom floor with water and the damage it caused on the bottom of the counter. Turnberry Isle is too cheap to put any money into your apartment. But of course, your rent is due on the 1st. No consideration for all the inconvenience all these problems caused. My apartment would constantly smell like weed. My daughter was 11 months when I moved in and we would constantly have to deal with that smell. They sent out an email to tell residents that smoking wasn't allowed but that did nothing. This is not a place to live if you have children. During the pandemic shut down, they sent out a letter on 3/26/20, telling residents that rent is still due. If you were unable to pay your rent, they would charge 5% interest on your account until you were able to pay your rent. On April 1st, they probably realized they cannot due that and then offered to set up payment plans or offered a discount if you were able to pay your rent in full. That just shows you what kind of complex this is- trying to charge interest on your account, during a pandemic shut down. I regret renewing my lease the 2nd year but I am a single mom and couldn't afford to move out at that time. I am hoping my review helps someone from not renting here, especially if you have children.

The community in the middle (where I was) is a group of people who have lived there for a long time. If I had to guess, many of them still live there. Great people. Parking was never an issue for me on the bigger lot. That small lot (off Brown, I think) can get full but the complex is so concentrated that no one really walks far. The layout hasn't changed much I would bet, and my 2 bedroom was perfect because it was a bit bigger and had some extra room. The Main room was just slightly bigger, but I recall easily fitting my Queen bed, 2 nightstands, decor and a TV on the wall. The patios are small, but can fit 2 chairs. I really enjoyed that patio and a nice beer on a warm summer evening. The location was probably my favorite. Right behind Brookshire's in Wylie, and at an intersection, I felt like it was convenient to anywhere I wanted to go. At the time I attended Collin College and worked at Sachse High, and both drives were really a breeze. Traffic has probably increased since, but you can't beat the quick access to Sachse, Garland, Murphy and Plano. The best thing is that it's practically in a neighborhood, so it was exceptionally quiet. I can't recall how much I paid (wouldn't matter now) but it was very affordable. Sadly, I had to break my lease (and paid a fee to do so) and they were very understanding and worked with me without doing shady things. A different time. It's funny, for where I was in my life at that time it was perfect for me. So mamy significant days of my life happened here, and I didn't even know it. If you are reading this, and interested in making a change in your life - good luck. You got this. And this might just be the place to do it if you are seeking quiet, affordability (hopefully) and to be able to access various cities quickly.

Maintenance has always been top notch if we had a problem. The main issues I take are that the price is too steep for what you get which isn't much. And on top of that, there is only one way to pay your rent, and you're charged a convenience fee for it. More like an inconvenience fee. And the laundry room. Oh I could go on forever about the laundry room. First of it's all coin operated, if you're gonna have coin operated machines, provide a change machine. Second, half of the washing machines are always broken and when they aren't broken they never fully drain so you have to hand wring out the clothes before putting them in the dryer. So still technically broken, just operating. The dryers even on the highest temperature can't even dry a small load. With the money people spend washing their clothes, this place could easily afford new washers and dryers. They just won't. I'd rather give up a few feet of my walk in closet for a space for my own washer and dryer. That's the other thing. For the outrageous rent this complex charges, they could easily put a washer and dryer in every unit. It would certainly justify the price. I'm gonna be straight, we renewed our lease once. I don't know if we will again. The laundry situation is enough to want out of this place.

I got onto the site to put in a work order. Within the hour Moises (Lead Maintenanc) was at the door. I was a little surprised when I opened the door. I thought it would take a couple of days before anyone would be able to come. I even said to Moises ; " that was really fast". With a smiled he replie; " oh yeah we are going to make sure you're good". His professionalism and attention to detail was absolutely amazing. You can tell he is passionate and he knows his work. As he walked through he told me everything that needed to be done and how it would be done. I thought he would come back the next day to fix the three things that needed to be done. He told me he would go get what he needed nd come right back. He did exactly that. It literally took him seconds to fix the toilet. Then he went into the kitchen and changed the entire outlet and a matter of minutes as he was completing the jobs he was me what the issue was. He didn't walked into the master bedroom and took a look at the lights on the ceiling fan and he something. He told me he had to run back down to the office to get something and he will be right back. He did exactly that. He came in and replaced whatever the part was on the ceiling fan and the lights popped on. When the lights popped on my toddler started clapping her hands. Now I have to constantly watch my car just to make sure it isn't towed over ridiculous cosmetic issues. The same small crack in my windshield that has been there since the day I moved in is suddenly enough to threaten towing? That's absurd--especially considering this is far from a luxury complex. There are stray cats everywhere, roaches in the building, and outdated appliances that barely function, yet management is more concerned about my windshield than about providing livable conditions. I'm moving in a month and requested a temporary pass just to avoid the stress until I leave, and even that was denied. Meanwhile, there are multiple cars in the lot with missing parts, dents, and damage way worse than mine, but nothing is done about them. The hypocrisy and lack of consistency are infuriating. The fact that hot water and basic upkeep aren't a priority, yet a harmless windshield crack is treated like a crime, is beyond frustrating. I honestly cannot wait to be done with this place--it has become unbearable.

AC was not cooling my apartment. does not work in the primary bedroom and it's a one bedroom apartment. The window literally had stained condensation as to where you can't see out the window. I asked and the repair team put cardboard in my window for five days to come back to install a window that flew out on a stormy rainy night that soaked my bed my floor and the next morning to get cardboard reinstalled. To follow up with that they water off for hours out of the day at least three times a month every other month another problem my water pressure wasn't working as to where I wasn't receiving hot water for at least two months or more wasn't really keeping track. Mind you when I put in these request to fix my apartment. I make sure I put do not enter my unit without my presence, but they do anyways and then say sorry afterwards but maintain entering. One maintenance guy entered while knocking didn't even give me a chance to get up to respond like just because I have a my apartment. Doesn't mean use it. The wall walls are hollow as I can hear my neighbor talk on the phone from my restroom. Not to mention I have multiple noise complaints even received when when I wasn't even home. I could go on.. beware before you lease here.
