Have lived here with my wife and dog for over 2 years now and we can't wait to move out. Living here has become miserable. If you live anywhere near the pool, forget about any peace and quiet at any time of day. It's always a party and it is an open pool so people that don't live here also come and use the pool and scream all day. And don't bother calling security- they are out there drinking and yelling with them! (Yes this literally happened). To summarize- the neighborhood is incredibly inconsiderate. Apartments are old and overpriced. Maintenance is generally quick to respond and the office staff are mostly friendly. That's it for the positives. read more

Moved in just over a month ago and so far, so good! The leasing office was nice and professional. I was in a pretty unique situation and needed to move ASAP. Luckily there was a cute little studio available, and within two weeks of speaking to Holly, I had moved in to my new apartment. The grounds are very well kept. There could be a few more pet stations, but once you know where the existing ones are, it's not too hard to grab a bag for your pup's poop. Parking hasn't been too much of an issue where I live. Even if you have to park in an "inconvenient" spot it is only twenty/thirty feet from your door instead of the normal ten. No one pays for the covered parking in my little nook (except the dude with the Lexus). My patio and window overlooks the parking lot, but I've never had a problem with noise. There have been a few incidents of people with their car radio too loud, or talking and laughing on the sidewalk, but that's usually on Friday and Saturday night and it never lasts more than 5-10 minutes. As far as noise in the apartment, they're insulated really well for being built in the 80s. I'm not even actually sure anyone lives in the apartment behind me. On the other side I know there's a guy because I can hear his shower/sink run. Nearly everyone has a pet, since these are the cheaper pet option in the Village. If you don't have a pet you might want to think about looking elsewhere, because people are always out with their animals, and there are at least 3 cats I see roaming around on a regular basis just around my apartment. The closet is pretty big for the size of the studio (420 sq ft) and the bathroom is fairly big, relative to everything else. I've been able to fit a huge dresser in the closet, along with all my hanging things; and a little cabinet in the bathroom, too. I've heard people complain it's kind of hard to make these apartments unique, because everything is so white, but really I think that's all based on your personality. I love my little space and I've been able to make it my own. I really love living here. But yeah, it's only been a month and a week so I'll try to update this after I've been here for 6+. read more

The Village community is awesome. I lived in the corners last summer during an internship and had a great experience here. You get what you pay for at the corners. They aren't the nicest and newest complex in the Village, but they are well maintained and clean upon move in. I lived in a studio here for around $955 per month for a 3 month lease. The staff and service is fabulous. Very friendly and attentive. I really have no complaints. read more

I live in the corners for a few months now it is very old and in bad condition the rooms closet doors will always fall off I called maintenance alot to fix the doors they fix it but it keeps falling off, I havent had a worm shower since I moved here the shower is either cold or hot it doesnt mix. the apartment is just ugly the finishing is very bad all the walls doors kitchen cabnates bathroom cabinates have the same color its like they took one paint and painted the whole thing and not even good it was missy the door handeles are silver in one side and gold in the other some rooms handles are different then the other door. You can get much better aprtements in dallas that are bigger newer and cleaner for the same price you pay for the corners. the only good thing is that maintrnance comes fast but I would rather stay in a place where I wont need to call mainenance that often read more

In a nutshell, 5 stars doesn't even begin to suffice the excellence The Village Corners possesses. The staff is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and the community is a fabulous environment. I have lived here for roughly 3 months now and have had two pets since living here (they mean it when they say they are pet friendly, soon you will understand why). My cat Hazel has become part of the leasing office family. She probably drives them crazy because she is into everything, but somehow they just adore her. She may as well be their mascot! Oh, my sweet Sunshine. Where to begin? My puppy Sunshine, they also loved. However, she was hit by a car and could not be saved. The staff of the leasing office went above and beyond; so much that I believe they have grieved with me. They addressed a card to myself and hazel (my cat) sending their deepest condolences along with a small mason jar of sunflowers (for my Sunshine). The comfort I felt from this small yet incredible gesture is unexplainable and says so much about how genuine this staff is. Pricing. You're not going to find better pricing in the area and there are multiple options. If it was more expensive it would STILL be worth every penny. The Country Club is completely kick ass with a full bar and great food. The send out a little vibrant newsletter every month showing you all of the fun upcoming events and I have heard the pool parties are incredible [(as I have yet to get that far- summer is almost here! There are several complexes in The Village from which to choose. For my needs and the price point, The Corners in the Village is the place to be. Though this is one of the older complexes in The Village, the land and buildings are very well maintained. I've had very few issues with my apartment since moving in. When a maintenance issue did occur, all I had to do was create a ticket online and it was handled the next day. The one time I called with an emergency after hours, the man arrived in ten minutes. The parking lots are on the small side. I would highly recommend getting on the list for reserve parking as quickly as possible. The location cannot be beat at this price point. Across the street at the Village Country Club you've got tennis, gym, running/waling trails, and full service restaurant. In addition, you're literally blocks away from shopping, dining and activities at Northpark Center, Upper Greenville Avenue and Northwest Highway. You can be down on Mockingbird Lane in less than ten minutes and into Uptown/Downtown Dallas in less than twenty. The greatest asset that The Corners has is its staff. Smith Security is always patrol and is quick to answer a call. Barbara, Larry and Charles on the maintenance staff are always quick to keep everything in working order. In the office you have Jennifer, Allie, Drew, Steven, Victoria, Haley, and Phillip that all make you feel like family. Customer service - it is why I leased here in the first place and it is why I am renewing for a third year. read more

I was a resident in the Corners for about 3 years. The first 2 years were fine. It's an older complex, so they aren't great looking inside, appliances are old, flooring is older, walls are extremely thin and you can hear your neighbors urinate (literally), etc, but nothing that's horrible. However, my last year living there was terrible. A rat somehow got in the crawl space above my ceiling and died, creating a HORRIBLE smell and I had to be out of my apartment a couple of days for them to deal with it (thankfully they paid hotel costs), there were continuous plumbing/sewage issues with the toilets in the first floor of my building backing up, and the main line overflowing outside, there was a lot of rainfall so there were TONS of issues with water roaches and millipedes inside the buildings, there were issues with the locks on the door not working, a cat got stuck up in the attic of one of the adjacent buildings and was crying to get out for DAYS, the aquarium of the guy living above me broke and leaded through my ceiling. I called maintenance every month, at least once a month, over my last year there. Maintenance overall was good and would come out and fix things, however there was a HUGE break down in communication between the office staff and maintenance. I would have to make calls throughout the day to ensure that work orders were being followed up on and being given to the maintenance. And sometimes work orders I called in were not completed. So, if you file a work order, be sure to do this online, so that there is a record of it. The office staff was hit or miss as far as helpfulness. There's a lot of turnover, but that's not uncommon for a leasing office. The Corners is less expensive than other apartments in Dallas, however you get what you pay for. Although the property is older, there were still unacceptable issues with it in the last year (I moved out 12/2013). To put it bluntly, it's ghetto, there are other options in Dallas of better quality and comparable price. Also, I noted that one of the other reviewers mentioned shower water being either extremely hot or extremely cold- I had this issue, too, the entire time I lived there. read more

I love living here. Everyone has been nothing but kind. I love how I'm located near everything also! I can get to target and Walmart and Tom Thumb within 8 min. The grounds are well kept. Maintenance has been nothing but fantastic. They addressed all issues I had and I'm in que for a repair. My 2x2 is spacious. My kitchen is tiny but very manageable. My son tells me every day that he loves the new house (he is 4) so all in all I love calling the village corners home. read more

I have lived here for a year and some months and the experience has been ok. Apartments are old, and honestly overpriced. I paid 880 my first year and 915 for my second for a 650 square foot with W&D and all carpet. My first year experience was a lot better than my second. Honestly, it seems as though right after I renewed my lease, the cockroaches came out of the woodworks. I am not a dirty person and always clear out my sink, but I see one or two little buggers a couple of times a week. They live in the walls and escape through the little holes in the kitchen because this place is so OLD. It's so gross, and they have sprayed for them multiple times. Maintenance is fast and location of apt is nice, close to Loop 12 and 75, SMU, Northpark, lots of restaurants, but for the price, you can get nicer amenities. I will not be renewing for year 3. read more

I have lived at the Corner's East for over 3 years now, and the only reason I am leaving is to get a bigger apartment over at The Hill. The apartments are older, but well maintained. The village does an excellent job with landscaping, and one of my favorite things is all of the Christmas decorations for the entire month of December. I have never had any major problems during my 3 years there. My A/C broke once in the summer and they had a guy out there to fix it immediately (literally about 10 minutes after I called, and it was a weekend). He replaced the thermostat and it has been running well ever since. The rates are reasonable considering the convenience of the village's location, and the amenities at the country club. Living in the village is a great way to be close to the action and to save money at the same time. The only negative for me was not having a washer/dryer in my 1 br apartment and the washer/dryers in the laundry facility would break down a lot. I recommend to anyone to use quarters and don't buy the laundry cards. The laundry card reader was broken a lot, or would take credits off the card but the washer wouldn't start. I would recommend the village, especially Corner's East, to anyone. read more

Pay about $920 for a short term lease in an unfurnished unit. Lived here for about 3 months and had to kill 3 cockroaches in my living room. Bathroom ceiling was leaking brown water one time and I had to put a bucket underneath it, tap in the shower leaked too. I do have to give them credit for how quick they are in responding to maintenance requests. Also in the fall they don't have people cleaning the outside area so your doorsteps would be constantly filled with dried leaves everywhere. With the price you pay you could probably find somewhere else better within the Village community. read more

I think apartment complexes always get a bad reputation. I've lived in many apartment complexes and this one is just fine in my book. Nothing to complain about. It's not overly loud, it's reasonably priced, centrally located, maintenance was timely and effective, good workout trails. No bells and whistles that i don't want or need. They even have a couple that offers events for the residents that i went to a couple of times. Nothing fancy but a way to meet neighbors and get out for a bit. I ultimately moved as my job is in Plano and the commute was too much. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the corners property. I actually even renewed my lease when i had that commute because it was a fine place. I lived there for nearly two years. I will day that I'm not impressed with the gym.. it's too small for how many it services. But they offer outdoor classes that are unlimited in how many they can accommodate. The classes vary by day, have many offerings, and are free to residents. What else? Renewals are negotiable. Washer and dryer facilities instead of in the unit (nice to do it all at once but i did miss having my own). Place is a little older which makes it more affordable. I had no issues with quality though. And pet friendly. read more

They have great amenities especially the club house. Most staff is helpful; there are a few that do give you the run around and never give you a straight answer which gives you a bad perception on the rest of the staff and becomes frustrating. Nonetheless, it is a decent complex. Requires a lot of up keep to the units and upgrades on appliances but they are livable. have yet to actual try using the club house but from afar looks like a great facility. They do host a lot of free social food events within the leasing offices. Always great if you don't want to cook dinner. Overall, the village does do a great job of making you feel safe with patrol cars roaming the complexes and having the ability to call security and ask them to walk you to your car if you feel insecure. read more

hmmm people here is so unprofessional, the apt is fully affected by bugs, so i decide to terminate the lease early, they told me that i need to pay 1200, which is fine to me. they also told me i can pay it online, it kept showing the balance due is 0. So i waited and waited, after 3 weeks i got a letter says i owe them almost 4000 dollars. Lol, can u guys do math? I assume you guys cant, if u need a math tutor, i can recommend one, for 4000 dollars per sec. I might start to think this is a fraud. read more

This is for THE CORNERS EAST. I lived here from Feb 2009 till December of 2011. When I moved in rent was $595 for the one bedroom, wow it has gone up! That being said I absolutely loved living here. The staff was courteous, never had an issue with payment, the grounds were always kept up, and maintenance came out in a timely fashion and fixed things. I was always close to every area in Dallas. There were lots of eateries and places to go. My neighbors were mainly single adults who were in college and there wasn't any little kids yelling and screaming outside. I loved how the Village was mainly a singles type apartments with lots of activities for the young over at the country club. The only downside was the horrible traffic in the area. It has only gotten worse with the influx of 100,000 people moving into the DFW area!! The ONLY reason why I moved out was because I moved in with my girlfriend who had a house. If she did not have a house she would have been living with me in my apartment. The Corners East, how I miss you :( read more

The apartments here are old and average, but the amenities are nice so I would normally give this place 3 stars. However, this past week I had an experience with the leasing office that has left me feeling unsafe and I would NEVER live here again. The leasing office and maintenance staff gave my key to a contractor when I specifically told them they could not and I returned home from a run to find half my bedroom in tarps and part of the wall removed. I asked them how this could happen and the leasing office told me that apparently they don't really check whether contractors should be in the apartment or not before handing them keys...great...makes me feel really safe. Also, the contractor just left a master key under the mat for anyone to take when they left my apartment! I would not recommend this to anyone. read more

A week after I moved in, they decided to do electrical maintenance in my apartment. For some reason the electrical panel was behind the drywall in my closet so they dismantled a rack and cut a hole in the wall. Then afterwards they left it like that. It took two weeks of going into the leasing office and inquiring about the situation and always being told that it would be done tomorrow, before someone even bothered to put a plastic sheet over the hole in the wall. It took another three weeks before I finally threatened to contact the health department after which they quickly replaced the rack and fixed the hole in the wall. Throughout this process, I never knew when the maintenance workers would come in, and when they did come in they left stains all over the carpet which were never cleaned up and were still there when I left. It was a horribly frustrating experience that showed me how unresponsive and uncaring the leasing office is about resident issues. Also, about two weeks into my lease the air conditioning unit started dripping water thought that was fixed within a few days, probably because it would have led to damage to the apartment. I lived on the ground floor, and saw during the course of my three month stay 4-5 cockroaches and over 10 centipedes. read more

I award Corners East my personal 5-star rating because: 1. Corners East apartments are kept in excellent condition both inside and out and any request for service or repair is speedily answered by very competent staff. Two gentlemen in particular need to be commended: Harvey and Gilbert. They have been our expert maintenance crew, always polite, responsive and quick to help. 2. The front office management formerly staffed by Anne Donovan and Pamela Smith, and now staffed by Paige and Jennifer, makes every effort to make our residence at Corners East a pleasant experience. From lease to renewal to answering any question that may arise they are always flawlessly courteous and responsive to our needs. 3. The Corners East neighborhood is very secure. It has never experienced any significant crime or vandalism during my years of residence here. It is well patrolled 24/7 by Smith Security and the personable Mr. Alan McQuerty on horseback. If you are travelling out of town, officers will even keep an eye on your car and check to see that your patio and front door have not been tampered with. 4. Corners East sponsors regular CARES events (e.g. pizza or TexMex night, Thanksgiving turkey dinner and others) hosted by the team of Mr. & Mrs. CC and Steve who do a good job of getting us to meet our neighbors 5. Corners East shares with other Lincoln Properties some of the most beautiful 4-season landscaping you'll ever see. Summer and winter, the traffic median on Southwestern Blvd is planted with well maintained colorful flowers. And during Christmas through New Year, dozens and dozens of trees along boulevard are wreathed in festive colored lights. It's a truly picturesque beautiful display. 6. The Country Club is the shared common area for all Lincoln Properties. Corners East residents can therefore enjoy regular weekly and seasonal indoor and outdoor events such as music and movies plus specials at the restaurant. Residents also have available for their use the large ball field with several batter's cages and baseball diamonds, two outdoor swimming pools, a putting green, a golf driver's cage, and a gym with weights and exercise equipment for all walkers, bikers, climbers, rowers, gymnasts to enjoy, so you can groan and sweat and to your heart's content.
