I feel bad to be writing this relatively negative review because the acupuncturist and his daughter (who helps her father manage the business, acting as the receptionist and bookkeeper) are very nice people and they were nice to me. However, the treatment was not effective at all, at least for me. Those who feel that the treatment was effective and you got your money's worth -- good, I am happy for you. But I feel that I ended up spending more than $2,000 for almost nothing. (call me a gullible idiot :-( ) Taking the time out of your busy schedule to lie down and relax for 40 minutes to an hour is probably conducive to improving your health (even without the needles in your skin), but you can totally do this at home inexpensively, rather than paying money just to do this on their treatment table. I did not experience any of the effects that they had described that their acupuncture treatment would have on me. Even after several weeks and months of treatment. I got tired of spending a lot of money and time with no visible results and eventually stopped going although there was pre-paid credit in my account. Maybe their treatment is effective for traumatic injuries. I don't know. I was not there for any physical injuries -- I was there to improve my circulation, which they said would result in a natural weight loss (which never occurred as you can tell from this review). Anyway, I would be wary of all these positive reviews on Yelp, because I certainly would not have felt comfortable writing this review while I was still going to this place. They really pay close attention to these things (All I could hear that they were talking about among themselves (while lying down on their treatment table) was how to market / advertise their clinic), and they know who you are, so it is easy for you to feel compelled to write a positive review to win their favor while you receive their treatment. I have a shoulder pain. I use computer for work all the time. Yes, I know what I need to do exercise. but I coundn't. Last week I got a terrible pain. I can't use right arm. It's not working. I had a very strange and not good experience here. I came in with a $19 groupon for one acupuncture session. Long story short, they forgot me on the table, i fell asleep for over an hour, and missed a pretty important appointment. They barely speak english, like, none at all, and when it was over, the girl told me I needed to pay her for the session, despite the groupon. Then she told me she would give me a "discount" if I checked in on Yelp and posted a positive review, while she waited and watched. Then she charged me an additional $40, for what reason, I have no idea, but if I were you, I would be very suspicious of all of these positive reviews. They seem to extort reviews from their clientele. And after the treatment, I didn't feel a lick different btw. read more

I went to Hae In Acupuncture back in June. It is a fairly new clinic where they opened in May. I've done acupuncture treatments in the past but it's been a while since I got the treatment. This clinic not only just promotes health treatments but weight loss and skin treatment just by an acupuncture treatment. The doctor and his assistant are really friendly and explained thoroughly about the whole acupuncture procedure. The doctor even explained to me about the fundamental of Asian Medical Treatment and Acupuncture. I decided to give a treatment a try since he has a lot of experience in this field (over 30 years) and he knew my current physical and mental condition issues. I was in a tough situation where I had a lot of mental and physical stress and also started to get pimples on my face. The doctor told me that he can help me treat my physical stress condition from the acupuncture treatment. If you go to a hospital you have to go through the whole process and only see temporary result. I've been taking their 10-times acupuncture treatment package to see the result. The doctor applies acupuncture needles and gives a massage of where it needs to be cured. At first, I couldn't tell about my results, but after few weeks I realize I feel more energetic and my stress level has definitely lessened. Even the pimples on my face has faded away after few weeks and today I don't see a single pimple coming out. The doctor gave me some advices on self-treatments that I can apply on my daily life. I've been following his advice since that time and feel much better about my physical and mental conditions. I tried this place out because I had a groupon coupon and I was always interested in acupuncture. I like that this place feels legitimate and very authentic. The daughter translates for the father which is fine with me and I felt very comfortable in his hands. I like how they really focus on the whole package of your body and how important everything is in its relationship to your energy and overall wellbeing. I found a groupon for this place $19 for an acupuncture session. I am a firm believer in TCM and other verified ancient methods. To give you a little background: Through the course of this year I have noticed my energy levels have a dropped dramatically. i'm a 34 year old male, and have been relying on startbucks, rockstar, monster, 5-hour energy, etc to make it through the days. Even so, those drinks haven't been working as well as they did in the beginning; and it seems silly to up the dosage again. I had setup the appointment for a few days after my initial call. In that time I got sick but still wanted to have the session. I let the doctor know I just wanted a general energy alignment. He and the assistant were very knowledgeable and their explanation of acupuncture was very straightforward. The experience was tranquil and relaxing--a very comforting level of care. I felt great after the session! I wasn't sure if it was because I had fallen asleep. The rest of the day I felt great. The next day, my cold was gone and I didn't need to take any energy drinks to make it through the day. My visit was two weeks ago and I am still feeling the benefits. My first acupuncture treatment. I've always wanted to try it for my chronic shoulder tension and couldn't pass us the Groupon deal. I appreciate the oriental perspective on body ailments and I felt a lot better the next day. The treatment was not painful; only one needle prick of about 10-14 hurt. He only inserts in the arms and legs so no need to undress. There is a spot on the abdomen in line with your core that he rubs before and after the treatment to see how much it has relaxed. He rubbed really hard so that spot was tender the next day. He also only speaks Korean so his daughter Ally translates what he's saying the best she can. I'm so glad to meet Dr. Choi! He made me feel so comfortable and life change! I came in to see Dr. Choi few weeks ago, because my period and depression. I had been put on birth control to regulate my periods for a long time. But my friend recommended to tried acupuncture for that. When I came here, I decided to stop taking the pills because the side effects were terrible and I was just exhausted. I explained all of this to Dr. Choi during my initial consultation. He listened intently and genuinely cared (so professional and it's different), She knew exactly what my current health situation was and what lifestyle changes I should make simply by taking my pulse, and checking my face. I was so excited! The Treatment started with 10-12 needles in my hands and feet. And I heard about what those needles can help with my symptom. After that I got a sleep around 30 minute? But I thought that I slept more than 5 hours! I had some problem with my depression, that's why it was awesome to go to sleep! Dr. Choi recommended Acupressure, it was little hurt some points. End of this treatment I can feel so much better conditions. The office is clean, very relaxing and they are so sweet, nice and specialized knowledge. Honestly. The woman who works at the front desk is also very nice. The office calls a day or two ahead of your appointment to remind you and confirm. Each acupuncture session is $40 without insurance, and an additional $40 for the acupressure. They do accept some insurance plans so be sure to call and ask. I want to use my insurance but it's high deductible L. I am happy to say that only after 5 sessions with Dr. Choi for acute problem (like my depression and some stiff, pain in body), you can check your body is totally different. I still continued treatment for my period, after 10 sessions, I have gotten my period. I have spoken with my doctor about the treatment and he was ecstatic to see my hormone levels return to normal. I need to check next period time but my lifestyle is change and feel so much good, so I'm going to get more sessions. Honestly, acupuncture is only the way what you have problem and work so perfect! I went there when I had serious injury on my ankle. The injury was caused by another person stepping my foot and fall back while the person is stepping on my foot. The bruise was very serious that I can't even use my left leg at all. Can't even imagine how bad it is... however, I used to get acupuncture therapy when I am injured. I barely walked in with one leg and start getting acupuncture by Dr. Choi. The needles are placed on my ankle and even on many part of my body. I wasn't believing one therapy will make me to walk and planned to come couple more times. However, after 30 mins or little bit more, all the bruise were gone and only very minimum amount of redness was left. After couple days I went to medical center to see x-ray, and there was no problem at all and good to go. I strongly recommend the acupuncture medical center to help your body to heal. Ok. This place was quite lovely. So we are clear, this form of acupuncture focuses mostly on your hands and feet and um, those needles can, will and do hurt. Not like, "I am going to die" type of hurt but more like, "Dang, how many more do you have to do?" kind of hurt. I suppose they might be pretty close, eh? Either way, I felt some kind of amazing afterwards and felt a clear change in well being moments and days after the appointment. The actual doctor doesn't speak English but his daughter is in the room with him during your assessment and translates. During which he is observing all critical details, i.e., skin, hair, tongue and making an assessment. Before you know it, the doctor has assessed your issue and off you go to the exam room. Afterwards, the daughter sits down and slightly, gently, but assuredly offers packages and return visits at a variety of rates. I can't be mad at that.
