Careful with electronic products. "Tested and turns on" doesn't mean it comes with the A/C adaptor that is required to turn it on.

Make sure you check your products before you leave. They only give you three days to say anything. Lately items that say complete or working are listed incorrectly. Make sure all the parts and accessories are there if they say they are included. Also, check pricing to make sure you aren't overpaying!! Sometimes list pricing is wrong. They don't go out of their way to make you feel like a valued customer either when you ask questions or address issues. read more

Been buying here for years. Since their warehouse moved I've noticed prices for items getting bid up, sometimes over MSRP. Either bidders like paying over cost, or something else is going on. I have been tracking my watch lists over the years I see same bidders starting at 1.00 and then bidding up only to never actually win the bid. I highly suspect this is "shill bidding" which is illegal, where employees bid up the item to benefit sales. This is evident on the first day bids open (i.e. general auction) and bids from the same people start at a dollar for many items. At the end, none of those initial bidders win. And sometimes you will see the same item next week when no one outbids these "shill bidders" as is evident in the same pictures if you look close. read more

This was my first time bidding on Hagglebids and I have good and negative things to say. If you find an online item for cheap, it's a great deal. However, take into account that they will tack on a 10% fee to whatever your bid is and it's not clearly stated any where that they do this. Pick up went smoothly. I received standard customer service, not overly friendly but not rude. I appreciated that there were moving carts and hand trucks provided to help move your items to the car. I arrived 10 minutes earlier than my pick up time but the ladies did not make me wait and brought my items out. I was told that up to 10 items can be previewed on Fridays but you must have the auction numbers ready. I might bid again if I find the right item. read more

I am a new person to this site and so far I like it. The only thing I question is the ending time of the auction was ended before it was supposed to end and so I lost my bid. The other frustrating part is it does not notify you when you are outbid or won or lost. Need to have that fixed. Otherwise, items are legit. The pick up process feels like they are bothered by you as maybe you interrupted them and their day. It's odd. I have been a bidder here for a while and I'm always satisfied with my purchases. Mondays are the auction days unless specified change due to a holiday. Bid from the comfort of your home. You can make a quick visit to review some of the items the week before. Highly recommend to read details to their entirety. They're honest about what you're buying but you have to read the fine print. Prices have gone higher than they were 4 years ago probably due to more bidders becoming aware of this gem of a place. If you win any of the auctions, you get a confirmation email. You can schedule a pick up appointment. The girls at the pick up are pretty dang speedy about getting your order but they could be friendlier :/ I've gotten nice stuff here. Claudia in particular has been great! Along with rest of staff ! I buy mostly whole sale items and sometimes need extra time or their equipment (pallet Jack, forklift,) to load, they always help! Worst customer service person ever. The girl with the dark hair and glasses who works the front desk is rude, lazy and a smart ass. My daughter has cancer and purchase something at this place and all I wanted to do was to see if it fit in my vehicle. There were 5 employees standing by the front 3 eating food and none of them were busy and I didn't think it was an awful request to see if a single item could fit in my truck. She rolled her eyes at me a couple times and made a couple smart comments. I told her that she has horrible customer service skills and she needs to work on how to talk to people. If they chose her to work the front desk the rest of the employees must be terrible. I would never go back to this place for anything because of her. My son told me about hagglebids after he won a new patio sofa set. He paid 1/2 of what it is currently available for online. We made our appt. for 2 days out and brough the truck up. Checked in at the desk and they brought the furniture right up. No problems at all. I also just bought 2 items, and was able to come up that same day. Best course of action you win, set up appt, go to appt pick time regardless on whats happening that day for appt, then your good to go. I'm still not sure why I keep buying from them. The employees can not be anymore rude. At one point, they made me wait 5 minutes for my pick up window. I get it, they have to go by their standards. If the employee's look and act like their standards are low you would think they could bend the rules for 5 minutes when no one else is ahead of you. After paying fees, sometimes you're better off buying brand new for the benefit of returning and nicer people. If you want a Saturday pickup and you call at 3 on a Friday they tell you "there's nothing we can do" and don't let you pick your item up. They frequently misadventure scooters as saying they are nicer models than the ones they are. If you value being treated like a customer avoid this a place like the plague. read more

Could've been better..Today i went to my appointment to pick up items won at auction but i left feeling like i stepped into an awkward episode of "Mean Girls" in High School. wow. Natasha was the Mean Girl in training today and behind her was the Ultimate Mean Girl. I don't remember her name but she has dark curly hair and wears glasses and she has major anger issues. I know this from past experience. She is the antithesis of who you want dealing with your customers Ted T. She is bad for business. I met Natasha a couple months ago, (i think when she was new) and she tried to help me view the items on my handwritten list. She was not much help in that she was unable to help me view more than half of the items on my list but i had a lot of empathy for her because she seemed new. Since then, the Ultimate Mean Girl (dark curly hair with glasses) had a meltdown on the phone with me when i called to ask if i could pick up a $1 'buy it now' item later that same day since i already had an appointment scheduled for pick up. It was just a question but she freaked out! She could not believe that i would dare ask such a thing. She was so angry that she could not even continue speaking with me.. she just handed the phone off to someone who seemed like a manager well versed in customer service, who ended up kindly accommodating the request although i let her know that if it was too much work that i could come back another day.. i was just inquiring about the possibility..Since then "Ultimate Mean Girl" (dark curly haired glasses girl) just has Mean Girl Vibes from behind the counter every time i come in, which is a couple times a month. Awkward. I had already forgiven her for her angry and unreasonable outburst and moved on but apparently she has not. Although i had previously had a friendly experience with Natasha, today she also greeted me with the Mean Girl Vibes. She periodically rolled her eyes during our strange interaction and kept looking back at the dark curly haired girl w/ glasses for approval. I thought she was having a bad day because she was so committed to not smiling throughout our interaction but i got to see her interact with the next male customer and she did smile a couple times with him. In summary, a good remedy could be that Natasha and dark curly haired girl have minimal contact with customers. Some people are not cut out for customer service and that's okay. We all have different talents. These girls have anger issues and/or immature rude attitudes. They don't belong in customer service. It is not a win/win. They are not good for business and are likely detracting from Ted T's ability and intention to maximize profit. Ted T could probably make more money if these girls weren't around. Win/Win. Beyond these 2, i have encountered many awesome individuals at Hagglebids (i just don't know their names)... i wish there was a protocol in place to monitor and improve the customer service. It would be helpful if the people who answer the phones identified themselves so we know who we are communicating with when we call and make our appointments. As of now, they do not identify themselves unless you ask. It would also be helpful if the employees wore name tags so folks know who they are communicating with. As of now, it seems that there is no protocol in place to dissuade angry/stressed out employees from being rude "Mean Girls" to unsuspecting buyers/customers, and it just gets awkward. I've been bidding on here for years. Every year they give us less and less time frames to pick up our items. So if you have a job Monday through Friday and cannot pick up your items guess what they get to keep them and resell them but still charge you. There are only certain amount of time slots per day on Wednesday Thursday Friday only - So if you work until 5 PM Monday-Friday and you do not have a lunch break or they have no time slot available on your lunch break you are screwed as are your items and/or your money. The timeslot crap is a joke. What's the set up so that people cannot retrieve their items. Not only do they punish you with keeping your items and your money but then tell you you can't bid for six months. Which clearly there are ways around that by re-opening another account with a different card. But still the limited time slots are ridiculous. Please do not respond with you give us two weeks and actually you give us six days three in each week but if we're not quick to the phone than all the time slots are taken. how does that make it right that you get to keep our shit and our money and then punish us by not letting us bid for 6months. Do the math- there are only 16 slots available per day for 3 days. So 48 slots in the 3 days total and 96 total before they screw you. If my bidder number is in the 4,000's (over 4,000 bidders registered) what are the odds that they tell you there are no more time slots available? Shady!!!! So when you respond to this please don't use the excuse that you tell us to call ahead of time. What you mean is- you tell us to call ahead to beat the other bidders from taking the limited 96 spots. No matter what bidders lose out. May not be you this time but better hurry before someone else beats you to the call. Also - The women that work there they are not nice. Especially when you call them on the phone. Unprofessional attitude and I do mean attitude!!! Almost like they know they already have enough business keep them in business so losing a few each week is not a big deal. Dear Traci- please pass this on to your husband. Used to LOVE HAGGLEBIDS. Now everything has changed, office staff is BAD. The attitude is "their sh*t don't stink" we (the customer) are lucky to be allowed to bid. Yvette is the worst. She acts as if she owns the place, has zero customer skills, & needs to be replaced. PICK UPS BAD! By appt only & limited times. Nearly impossible for a working person/business to pick up items. 3 Days ONLY. WED 1-4pm, TH & F 8:30-4pm. NO SAT. Hire more people so you can have pickups M-F 9am-5pm during normal business hours like other auction houses. We have to physically call in to make an appt & slots are often "all taken", & you can only get a 1/2 hr. time slot- to the already limited days. "Oh, Wednesday is all full, we have 1-1:30 on Thurs, left." - A horrible way to conduct business. We buy weekly, hard to accommodate a 30 min. window on a Thurs, during an eclipse when purple unicorns are hibernating. AND, if you happen to not show for that 30 minute golden, timeframe, you get a ding/strike on your record- 3 strikes SUSPENDED FOR 6 MONTHS! PLUS, you have to have THEIR auction # ready to make the appt. "Hi, I won GENERAL AUCTION that ended yesterday, I'd like to make an appointment". "Sorry we cannot book appts without OUR auction #". "Please, it was yesterday's GENERAL auction, can you please look up YOUR #?" "Nope, sorry we cannot look it up, call back". WTF. It's YOUR weekly auction #. Put a cheat sheet on the reception desk each week of your auctions. There are only 3 auctions each week! The effort the girls give is zero. I bend over backwards for my customers. THEY all need to be replaced with efficient polite employees who are willing to offer some sort of customer service. Every time I am in there the girls are sitting down, not on computers, not in the back pulling items, sitting, eating, or talking to each other. But way too busy to look up an auction # for a week. PRICES.. yeah, BUY IT NOW used to be awesome. Great prices. Now everything is inflated to almost retail prices & the items are not in "new" retail-priced condition, most have some small flaw. So it's really not a deal anymore. Maybe an occasional deal but not for repeat customers. Same items sit in BUY IT NOW because they are not turning over as fast due to pricing. I'm barely buying B.I.N. any longer. PICK UPS: You cannot back right up to the warehouse door. Even though you have your appt. slot & you are the ONLY ONE picking up. DO NOT ask for any help. None given. Excuses given are Covid or Insurance reasons. Hmmm.. I deal with 5 different auction houses. All have a BIT of assistance if you REALLY need it, and most try to assist their customers to get them in & out efficiently and safely. I used to love Hagglebids. Now it's being run by uneducated, girls w/ attitudes who do not want to put effort into their positions. The owner should implement a month-long 'secret shopper' into this business to see how we are treated. Next, please research into an automated calendar appointment for pick ups. There is software that should be implemented into Hagglebids like all other auction houses use. We can login the moment the auction ends to chose our pick up time. A simple link is embedded into your automated-winning invoices or on your auction page. Being forced to physically call in to make an appointment with the incompetent staff is painful. The 1 week abandonment date is a joke. I get WE lose our item. That would be fair if normal hours were implemented. BUT WE still get that ding/strike. 3 STRIKES YOU'RE OUT, even if we've paid! If you were open normal times people wouldn't "abandon". So, let me summarize.. We pay, we abandon, they re-sell (OK, I get it), but still ding US? WE paid and they re-sold yet still a ding. That's double the $$ Hagglebids gets and still a STRIKE. Doesn't make sense. I could see if item was a NON-PAYMENT & abandoned & a ding (you are not a storage unit). But WE PAID you got your $$, you re-sell, then you win twice. Item is gone, But still ding! You lose out on repeat business for 6 months as you have suspended your repeat customer. Who loses? Whomever implemented this rule didn't think it through. If we pay, & don't pick up the loss is punishment! Who wants to toss away $$. You make double, item is gone, & suspend a regular customer who buys weekly. FINALLY: To the owner: PUHLEEZE consider replacing this office staff with a competent customer-service staff. Please purge power-tripping Yvette who thinks this is HER business. Not new. Going on for years. She is not an asset to your business. Please replace with an office manager who knows how to deal professionally (w/ kindness, yet still structured with your policies), with your customers. We pay her salary. She forgets that. Survey your repeat customers w/ anonymous questions. As the owner I hope you understand what a detriment she is for Hagglebids & a poor leader for your staff. I am not a disgruntled customer. When it comes to deals haggle bids is a hit or miss. Like all auction houses there is a fee, which sometimes makes the purchase not worth it, as you might as well buy the product brand new. Why I have such a bad review is for the customer service. The ladies are very rude and I've even seen employees crying during a pick up. They make you wait wait your exact pick up time and not a minute sooner. When you come 15 min early to pick something up a great business will help you no questions asked. Bathrooms are also off limits so don't bother. This is far from a great business when it comes to customer service and it's sad because the place has potential. Don't recommend! read more

I am very surprised to read the negative comment above about Hagglebids. I have had the exact opposite experience. I have purchased items on Hagglebids probably every week since it began over year ago and I have consistently been pleased with the items I have gotten. If anything, I think they underplay the descriptions. I have gotten things that say "signs of use" but when I pick them up, they look like new. It's always such a fun surprise to see what I'm going to get each week. I have had 2 very minor situations with Hagglebids where there was an issue with my item.- I realize that having 1200 items per week, sometimes things happen but when I've run into a problem, Hagglebids has been nothing but professional, taken responsibility and fixed the problem. So I have to wonder what the other side to this guys story is that would make Hagglebids feel the need to block him as a customer. I highly doubt they do that without careful consideration of the risks and rewards so I'm sure there's a whole other side to this story. Just something to consider... If I could make 2 recommendations to Hagglebids, they would be: 1) Bring back the product categories- like how the descriptions used to be followed by what category that item fell into (Toy, kitchen, outdoor, decor, etc). 2) optimize the website for mobile viewing. It currently is not very mobile friendly and given how many people use their phones as their primary "computer", a mobile compatible website is crucial these days. All in All, I've been very pleased with Hagglebids. I've gotten some seriously amazing deals and will continue to shop from them weekly. Can't wait for this week's auction to go live! read more

I have to write an update. I have not been happy with most of my recent hagglebids purchases. I understand that the items are not new and occasionally you will get something that doesn't work, however, in the last auction 2 of the 3 items I bought (described as "like new") were broken to the point that they were not useable. Bad luck, perhaps, but this was not the only occurrence of clearly broken items being sold as "like new". I don't think I will be trusting of the descriptions given in the future. Well, I have been a buyer with Hagglebids for many years & this is disappointing to be writing this. I have purchased many items from them over the years & this is the first time I didn't pick up my items on time. I am 3 days late which they are closed over the weekend through tuesday. They will not accommodate me so that I can pick up my items even though they have been closed. This is very disappointing & the manager argued with me that they have not changed their policy on pick ups which is a lie because it use to be different & I have invoices to prove it. Just be careful with this place because they will screw you out of your items, glad I didn't pay for them or I'd be knocking on their door right now.
