Do not! Avoid this shop! They quoted me $600-$650 to install a train horn and a button for it on the dash. I provided fuse, horn and button! Then they tell me it will cost twice as much.. ended up paying them $1100!! Said horn fell off and completely destroyed in Utah about 12 days ago! I called them today for a different need and didn't even mention the horn and they treated me like garbage! They must have put notes in there to make sure they treat me like garbage... Andy who was rude and didn't bother to hear my alternator needs, tried to tell me that I didn't pay them enough for the horn install. $1100 to install a $35 horn. Sure buddy. I've been happy with the work done on both of my vehicles at Hahn Automotive over the years, but consider getting a second opinion on recommended work. They recommended a brake system fluid flush on both vehicles for $192 per vehicle. I take my vehicles elsewhere for brake work, who tell me that the brake fluid system flush that some auto shops recommend is totally unnecessary unless you are actually having brake work done. It is just a way for shops to make an extra couple hundred bucks off of you. Also, they won't tell you that there is an extra charge for tire rotation when they inspect your vehicle, so read your estimate carefully. I buy my tires elsewhere which includes free tire rotations. For these reasons and their constant upselling strategy, I unfortunately no longer trust this business. read more

I recommend going to coogler's auto repair on Piner. I went because I received a paper in the mail that they would check my AC free of charge and they charged me $400 for "labor"and let me know it would be a 2.5 repair. My AC works the same afterward. I never expect anyone to work for free but I also don't expect to be charged $400 for labor and have my AC work the same. The women who spoke with me was not very kind either. I have learned, stick to what works and that is Cooglers for for me. If I could give zero for me experience I definitely would. Do not trust them. About a year ago, the mechanics at Hahn installed a trailer brake controller in my Subaru. I discovered recently that it wasn't turning on. I dropped by Hahn and asked if they could look at it. They discovered that another seemingly unrelated mechanical repair had disabled the controller, requiring about 30 minutes to diagnose and fix. The excellent service provided by the team at Hahn is unbeatable. I have been taking my cars there for over 10 years now and I have had nothing but positive experiences. For example, while the dealership kept advising that I replace my repeatedly warped rotors with OEM, it was Hahn who researched my specific vehicle and found that the OEM rotors were know to be undersized for the weight of the vehicle so they recommended heavier duty aftermarket rotors and I never had that issue again! I used Hahn Automotive very frequently when they were on Piner road. I continued to go there because they did good work, and they were honest. However, I took my car to them at their new location to have a new brake hard line installed. After multiple attempts they could not properly make the part, so they resorted to purchasing an oem part from the dealer. Fine, not a problem. However... When I went to pick up my car, the first thing I noticed before I even left their parking lot is that they broke my dash, and glove box. Because when I went to put my receipt from the work into the glove box, my glove box fell onto the floor of my car, and I could see that the dash was all broken apart. And I could clearly see that they attempted to glue it all back together!!! I immediately went back into their office to ask what the hell had happened, and explain to them that my car was not broken like this when I dropped it off to them. It just so happened that the brake line that was being replaced is routed from the engine bay through the firewall, and to the rear of the car in the exact location of the glove box, and the wrecked dash! Coincidence? I don't think so!!! They denied the whole thing. So, I placed a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive repair. Suddenly to cover their a*s, they were willing to install a new dash, and glove box. However at the expense of myself purchasing the dash, and glove box. What a crock!!! How can you make the customer purchase a part that your shop broke, and only after the customer files a formal complaint do you agree to this??? If you do use Hahn Automotive, prepare yourself for your vehicle to have more problems when you pick it up, than when you dropped it off. Because the mechanics at Hahn will cause further damage to your vehicle. And they will try to cover it up with hack artist methods. Glue, tape, butt splices, any hack necessary to get it out the door. And if it breaks on you, they will not take ownership of their hack work... They will deny everything. read more

I took my car in after I had Tim from Sta Cool come and service my a.c and he referred me to them because my a.c needed more work. I had also been having an ongoing issue with my car dieing at stops. They were on top of keeping me updated with what was going on with my car. My a.c ended up needing to be replaced and the 2 days my car was there, it never died on them. They still figured out the problem and fixed it. My car was done sooner than expected and everything is working great. The services they did on my car has a 2 year warranty, which is a great plus! Beware! My car started making loud rattling noises on acceleration. It also sputters and hesitates when this happens. I took it to Hahn where they charge $225.00 for an hour and a half diagnosis. They said the compression on at least one cylinder was too low. They told me the oil looked very burnt and a flush with engine cleaner and a high-mileage oil change would probably resolve it. It did not solve the issue and cost me $350. Upon picking up my car the shop manager said "I don't want you to pay $350 and not have answers. Bring it back in next week and we will spend a bit more time on it. We can give you a loaner car too" This morning I returned with my car and they tried to charge me another $225.00 for an hour and a half diagnostic. I was very confused and told him I thought they were going to spend more time on it since they couldn't figure it out. I declined their offer to waste another $350. read more

I needed to bring my car into an official Brake And Lamp Inspection Station, and this was the closest one. While it was on a lift, I figured, why not roll in some basic fluid changes? After all, I've had fresh Motorcraft mystery trans juice and an oil filter sitting around for over a year, and it's about time I had them installed. And hey, figures I, it's been a few years since I put in fresh coolant. Let's get that done, too. The good news is that they didn't bat an eye at installing a customer-supplied part and fluid. The bad news is that they tried to charge me over $60 for coolant, the B+L certification cost over $150, they charged over $200 labor for the simple fluid changes, and to top it all off, they overfilled my tires. I brought the car in with 27psi (door jamb sticker reads 26psi), and they filled them to 35psi, resulting in an intolerably grating ride. I know this is gravy, but you don't have to rub it in. read more

I was out running errands today and one of my windshield wipers suddenly stopped working. It was pouring rain and I needed a quick fix. I went to the Sears Automotive center, as that was what I knew I was closest too, but they referred me to Hahn. I managed to drive over and the employee at Hahn was really reassuring. He let me know that it'd be a few minutes til it could be looked at so I went to have a seat in their waiting room. I wasn't sure how long it would take so about 5 minutes later I walked back over to the counter to find out if I could leave and come back so that I could grab some lunch. This place is amazing! The owner Bill, is THE person in all of Northern California that you want to diagnose your vehicle if your problem is electrical. He understands automotive electronics in a way that few others can comprehend. Finding a good place to get your vehicle repaired can be hard. You wonder not only if they will find the problem, but will they fix it? Fit it properly? Damage anything during the repair? Overcharge me? Or waste my time and money. Anytime you are without your ride a minute feels like an hour. I have known this shop since the year 2000 when they were on Fulton rd. The reason they moved? Because they were so successful they needed more room for tools and customers cars. They did not move because they downgraded to a smaller place, Dutton rd is much bigger. They didn't get a bigger place because they were over profitable from customers. Their prices are fair, and I've never felt ripped off or cheated in twenty years. Their work is good. I don't go there often because their repairs fail, I go often because I have too many classic cars, and too many new ones that I get smogged there! read more

Price wise -- sure, there may be cheaper in town, but I have never left feeling like I had been robbed or mislead. Prices were clearly explained. The owner is a really nice guy that takes the time to explain to you what is going on and what needs to be done (or his recommendations).
